The drinks were great & so was the wait staff but the food is not what it used to be & left much to be desired.
Food was wonderful, service was fantastic, seating was nice - but the sound was awful. Even after it was turned down it still was challenging to have a conversation.
Corey was a great server!
The server was clearly stoned when we first started out. Our salads took forever to get and as soon as the salads came the meals came. Drinks that were brought were incorrect. Orders were wrong.
I would not recommend or go there again.
The view and general atmosphere is nice, but the food was too salty and they messed up our tab multiple times.
It took 25 minutes for a server to come to our table (after we told the hostess). The hostess eventually took our order as she could not locate the server. The manager came to apologize to us and told us another server would help us and that "she was the best". We barely saw her. There were a lot of apologies but nothing was sincere any no reasons were provided. Will never go back.
Servers were very nice but not that attentive. Had to wait 20 minutes to get the bill. Food was good but not remarkable. Skip the appetizer dips—little flavor. Lovely view if you aren’t stuck in a corner. We were there early evening so understandably the bar area was very loud.
Great service!
Great location on the waterfront, with attentive service, good food, varied menu sure to please everyone in your party.
Food was not worth the cost. Portions are entirely too small. Taste of the meal was just average, wasn't and not impressed with it. Will not be returning or reccommendating this restaurant to anyone.
We've eaten at "big brother" McCormick & Schmicks in Baltimore several times, but this was first time at the M&S Grill, which we've always wanted to try. Has a great waterfront location. On this particular night in March, it was very quiet and lots of open tables. The host failed to ask us if we had a reservation, which we did through Open Table - and almost lost our Open Table credit. Our server was friendly and polite, but very inept at her job - lots of misses, forgottens, dropped items, etc. Maybe it was her first night on the job? Food quality was much less than expected from this brand - my filet mignon was dry and tough. I ordered a side of asparagus, while our server neglected to tell us the meat would be served atop asparagus (which was not noted in the menu either). We had to flag down some fellow servers in order to get our table attention when needed. Disappointing meal.
Good food. Tom, our server, was a hoot. Enjoyed it very much.
This is a chain restaurant and quite pricy for the food available. Given that, it was a quiet spot in the harbor for an early dinner.
My best friend and I had dinner for her birthday. Again, the food and moscato sangria were out of the this world. The staff was very attentive to our needs. They made my friend feel extra special with all of the fine touches you offer for birthday guests.
My steak came with only 5 pieces of asparagus.
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic and will definitely being there again
Food was good, crab soup delicious, restaurant was clean, nice ambience. We stopped in while in Baltimore for a quick dinner, not too heavy. The food was real good for a quick meal and the server was excellent. Made for a great night out in a short amount of time.
Was meeting friends from out of town and we decided to take them to M&S Grill. This turned out to a great place. Food, service, and ambience were quite good. It was a cold, damp, gloomy night, but you would never have known that inside. Scallops, shrimp, and crab cakes were the order of the day and all were wonderfully prepared and presented.
The only problem we had was that M&S Grill did not have our reservation. This was not an issue since there was not a big crowd and plenty of tables available. I don't know whether this was a problem with M&S or OpenTable, but I would strongly suggest that OpenTable look into it.
Maybe it was an off night, but my sister-in-law, who is one of the most easygoing people I know, sent her drink back...twice. And that was about the way the whole meal went.
My son’s daily special came out as 3 small flakes of mahi mahi instead of the expected fish filet. The scallop dish only had 4 small scallops. My meatloaf tasted fine, but was overpriced like all of our meals at M&S Grill.
Small portions, large prices, no alcohol in the drinks and the service was slow for the few diners in the restaurant. We won’t be back. In fact, we ended up going to another restaurant for “dinner part 2” after we left.
We visited M & S Grill last year and couldn’t wait to go back. It did not disappoint! Delicious cocktails, outrageous food pairings and spectacular service! All at a reasonable price.
Amazing food and service. Erica was my server and she did an amazing job from start to finish including a wine recommendation. I highly recommend visiting here while in Baltimore.
Nice looking place. The dining room was extremely cold. Our server was very nice and attentive, had no issues with him at all. The food was no even close to being worth what we paid. Would not recommend.
We have visited and enjoyed this restaurant over the past 10 years when we visit Baltimore however this time much to our disappointment the service was poor( took over 90 minutes to get our meal and after waiting that long we were told that one of our guest order wasn’t available a ribeye steak! Again after the wait we waited another 30 minutes for our meals to show up. 3 of the 5 steak entrees came out so rare that they were still cold inside. We sent them back and 2 of the 3 came back almost acceptable but the third steak came back just as undercooked. We asked to send that back again and after waiting 15 more minutes we asked where the steak was and they told us they thought my customer didn’t want to eat dinner. They finally cooked another steak still undercooked but acceptable The staff never seemed concerned or really cared about anything. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The lack of concern by any of the staff, the poor food quality and presentation made our experience as the worst restaurant I have visited in my life
We went here for New Year's Eve dinner and it was really great! Our server was wonderful- kind and attentive! The location was really great- right on the water front of Inner Harbor, however our booth was not by a window and every time the entrance door open we got a huge gust of cold winter air so that was a bit of bummer, but not the worst thing that could happen. We ordered the fried calamari, steak plate, and a salad plate in addition to wine and champagne- It was all really delicious! I would definitely recommend and I would probably come back here in the future
Our dinner at M&S Grill was disappointing.
Service was very slow. Our drink order took 20 minutes and our entree’s took almost an hour to make it to our table. And 2 out of 5 dishes were served cold. They were sent back. They did come back fresh and hot. The restaurant was NOT busy! It was us and 3 other tables! Definitely not recommended.
Food was good, but lobster was over cooked. Server was “absent” when we needed her often.
Our server Davey was excellent and the manager on duty was lovely, helpful and cordial.
Enjoyed my Thanksgiving, the shrimp was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, the prices were great and it was just a wonderful experience
I have been to this restaraunt twice while visiting Baltimore and both times have been a major let down. We went the first time and all of us got the Surf and Turf special and it was an extremely (4oz tail/4oz steak) small portion for the price. However, since it was a special we chalked it up to that and decided to try it again this year. With 8 people again we went and decided to stick away from the specials menu more than 1/2 of us ordered steaks (bone in dry rubbed 20z) for $48 each. Not only did they come out all overcooked from what we requested they also were the wrong steaks. Add on top of that the poor service which took almost an hour for our meals to come out and our waiter returning maybe one time to check out our table and refill drinks. Will not return here again, this fully explains why we were able to get a reservation table for 8 within less than an hour from when we called. Locals clearly don't go here for a reason.
To start is took about 20 minutes to get a drink. Then it took another 20 minutes to get another drink because the first ones were wrong.
Food comes and shrimp way over cooked to the point of going black. Then found long hair in my shrimp before taking my first bite.
I really enjoyed the food and the evening and thank you for patronizing the Veterans
Enjoyed an impromptu dining experience while honoring my husband and his veteran status. Everyone genuinely expressed their thanks with words, service and complimentary meals. Thank you.
Outstanding early dinner meal. Food was delicious. Ambiance is terrific. Hostess was charming and a delight to talk with. The entire staff were so appreciative of the service members who were enjoying meals. Love going to this place...my compliments to the chef.
It was a slow night in the restaurant and the staff were relaxed and hanging out and not focused on the dining guests. Very frustrating when entertaining clients.
The restaurant could use a really good cleaning and renovation. Smelled sour and ceiling tiles are stained. While to food was amazing it took FOREVER to come out. Over 45 mins and we were on our lunch hour from work. No manager came over to apologize or explain the wait. The restaurant was pretty empty. Out server April was great and very accommodating and attentive. Menu us priced pretty high in comparison to other area restaurants like Brio, Kona and Cheesecake Factory.
Great service and great seafood, a little lacking in steaks (overcooked) and fries (cold). The dining room was comfortable. They handled our large group with grace and the view of the water was really excellent.
great meal - quick service and LARGE portions. Server was outgoing and friendly
Had drinks and dinner in the bar area.
Food was perfect....after a long day of shopping and walking inner harbor.
The cold drinks went down great...on a mid 80's temp day
Wonderfully delicious food. Slow service from kitchen and staff . Everyone very pleasant... couldn't be nicer !!! Would definitely do agai. !!!!
Food was satisfying. Service was better than the food. Keith was a really good server. Kudos, you would do well in any fine New Orleans restaurant
