I had my first High Tea at Lyrebird on 10 May 2025 with a group of eight. On that occasion I would have given it 5 stars by I hadn’t made the booking. On 11 June a trend and I went to the Ten Tenors concert and I raved about the High Tea and convinced her to go. Unfortunately the sandwiches were very dry and the champagne was not chilled. It was still a nice meal and is certainly great value for money. I know it is a very busy time - the restaurant was packed - and everyone needs to be served quickly and efficiently- which they were. The service was exceptional. However as you ned to prepare the sandwiches beforehand perhaps you could put glad wrap over the middle plate to keep the sandwiches moist. And make sure the champagne bottles are really chilled before pouring. We did notice they were being poured 10 minutes before the door opened. My friend and her husband are thinking of coming again in July. He prefers beer I did asked if it was served and the waiter said yes. He understands he may have to pay extra for the beer High Tea.

We’ve enjoyed dinner here many times, prior to attending performances at qpac. The food is always excellent and the staff very efficient and friendly.

The staff were very attentive. We had the gluten free high tea, it was delicious. We would certainly recommend Lyrebird Restaurant to family and friends.

Nothing beats having a 5-star meal at Lyrebird Restaurant, where Manager Domique and his staff, as always, provide magic service and food. To wash it down, enjoy a beautiful wine just before the show starts, Swan Lake. Can it get any better?
