   I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and we absolutely loved it! Not only was the food amazing, but the service was fantastic. Everything was made to perfection, and you even get a sparkler for special occasions when you order dessert!

   Pros The food was absolutely excellent! I’ve eaten at almost every “high end” Greek restaurant in Chicago and their spreads are the best, bar none. Every dish was presented well and flavorful. The portions were perfect. Cons We reserved the main dining room, yet we’re seated in a small side room, therefore missing the DJ and entire restaurant atmosphere. When I mentioned this to the 20 year old snazzy hostess, the responded with attitude that there were no more main dining room seats available. Once seated, our waitress was extremely pushy and abrasive about ordering quickly and getting us out of there. We were approached 3 times WITHIN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES of being seated to order not only drinks, but appetizers and main courses too. You can tell this place is a total meat grinder for West Loopers to quickly consume, consume, consume, then get the next group in. OVERALL Amazing flavors - chef and kitchen staff are extremely talented and creative. Service - if you want to be pressured to quickly order, scarf down your food, then run out, this is the place for you. I’d rather order this food to go, or just go to Avli.

   This was our third time here. The service was not as good as usual from the stand point that we had to wait longer than normal to order drinks, order our dinner, reorder drinks. Etc. He was very good when he had the time to take care of us. Additionally, we all ordered two rounds of drinks. One of the drinks the second round was really bad….everyone at our 4-top tasted it. He never inquired why it was pushed to the edge of the table and was still full. I would have ordered a different drink if he would have inquired but was uncomfortable trying g to get his attention to send it back.

    Lyra is always great. Food is delicious, some of the best lamb chops I've ever had. You're paying a premium for atmosphere but whatever, always great! Our server Chris was absolutely fantastic, he didn't rush us, was attentive when he needed to be and gave us space when we needed it as well. He's one of the best waiters we've had in years. Highly recommend for special occasions or if you have friends in town or for a girls night out. Will def go back!

    The service was so terrible that it honestly ruined the meal. When I ordered, before I could finish the server cut me off to tell me "I think that's plenty of food" He also went on to boast at least twice about how fast the kitchen is and how easily we'd be able to add more later if we really felt like we needed it. Since his reaction made us feel as though we over-ordered, so we left it at what it was. When the food came out, the portions of the starters and the main dishes were all much smaller than I was expecting, especially for the price. However, there was also an over 35 min lag between the starters and main dishes. This would have been less of a problem had he not been so pushy about how fast the kitchen was. We originally planned to order more dishes at the end but decided to skip as the meal was already pushing 2 hours at that point. After we ate our mains, we sat with our empty dishes for another 20+ min and I ultimately had to flag down the server to place my dessert order using the online menu to avoid having to wait again for him to bring another menu. When it came time to pay the bill, he left the check with our card sitting on the table for so long that another person came by to pick it up for us (presumably a manager), which he seemed surprised about. The worst part was that during all of these long wait times, he did not stop by our table a single time to check in but did however spend over 10-15 min at a time standing around chatting with all of the other tables. It was hard not to notice the fact that these tables were made up of primarily young white clientele while I was there with my parents (and we are not white). I chose Lyra specifically to celebrate a huge career milestone, but ultimately left feeling very disappointed. I hardly ever write reviews but I could not let this one go.

    My favorite greek restaurant in Chicago! Great for large groups and sharing. Highly recommend the lamb gyro, octopus, and the Pandora Pom cocktail

    Food choices were minimal, server would not allow us to sit in a booth alleging they were all reserved for parties of 5 or more however we identified a group of three in the same requested size booth, appeared to be despaired treatment.

    Fantastic food.!Service was very good except the fact that we were asked to leave did not end nicely ( we did stay longer than 2:30 hours.) We arrived early in the evening. The place became very loud around 9 pm. Will go back because food was exceptional!

    The ambience is lively with neutral tones, the bread and spreads were delicious, great presentation. The lamb chops are a must order!!! Ask for a side of chimichurri - you’re welcome - they do a great job with celebrating special occasions, the dessert and sparkler was so fun and festive!! Great vibes and attentive service- and their martinis are fantastic!! A good time!

    We had 5:15 reservations and we probably had to wait about 20-30 minutes. Our server was excellent and the drinks and food were fantastic. There wasn’t one dish we had that wasn’t loved by all. From the grilled octopus to the roasted chicken and gyros. Both the chicken and the lamb were so tender. We skipped dessert which was probably a good thing as we were asked to relinquish our table for another party, which was somewhat embarrassing. We will definitely go back, just not stay as long :))

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT! The worst experience! All they care about is your money!! I went there with my friends on March 4th in the evening. Our waiter was Ansel, who was rushing us the whole evening. He was offering desserts in the middle of our main course and then rushed us with paying the check! As soon as we paid, the MANAGER ALYSHIA came up to our table and said: I’m sorry but we need this table because there is a 5-top waiting!!!! That was outrageous!!! They will kick you out immediately after you are done with your meal! I’ll say that the food was mediocre too, so if you want to spend your money, do it some place else! We spent over $200 with the tip and were treated like that!! I’m an influencer and I will make sure my followers stay away from this place too!
