   This was my first time at Lyra and it was an amazing experience! Everything tasted great, was presented well and the portions were plentiful. The service was spectacular. I can't say enough good things about this place.

   The mezze were great and good size. The mains are a bit pricey for what you get. The lamb gyro is $52? The mousaka was good although with beef vs lamb. The garlic chicken was 2 pieces of chicken with no sides for I think $35. They also add a 3% service charge to the bill. The wine list is manly Greek.

   I made a reservation for the main dining room a month ago. When I got there the two girls at the front said there were no tables available in the main dining room and the blonde told me “ all the tables are the same and I shouldn’t care”. So we got stuck in the back room. I did not appreciate their welcome or their attitude.

   The food was incredible and the main room in the restaurant is spectacular! Unfortunately we were seated in the extra room which has no decor or ambience. The service was fabulous, just a bit too quick.

    Food was delicious! Service was wonderful, they even gave us some free extra hummus because we loved it so much! Restaurant itself is beautiful. Definitely pricey but worth it, great place for a special occasion.

    Superb meal and a beautiful ambiance. It's a scene on weekend nights with an awesome bar and live music. I would highly recommend the Lamb Gyros to share and the feta-stuffed sausage. The beet hummus was also grand. Great date night or celebration dinner.

    We dined in on a typical Saturday night, and needless to say I was impressed from the moment I walked in to the moment I left! The interior was spectacular with all the rustic chandeliers, chic furniture, ambient light, and a spectacular DJ, who got me snapping my finger once or twice. Our server, Essyl, made the experience incredibly smooth and created a genuine connection. I came with my girl, who is expecting, and made us feel comfortable with the seafood dish we had as well as just asking refreshing questions. It sucks have a fantastic server like that cause anyone else i will have in the future will not compare. I never felt more like a celebrity in a restaurant before than my visit at Lyra. The food was phenomenal and the style of dining made us enjoy every single bite of each individual dish. They promote family style, dining and coursing. We ordered four plates, and each were individually brought out so that we can enjoy each dish. We ordered the spinach pie (Spanakopita), which offered a gooey center with sautéed spinach a feta, all enclosed of a buttery flaky crust. Then we ordered a crab ceviche, which had the perfect balance between fresh citrus, earthy flavor, and the velvety texture, all on a lavash crisp. We also ordered the family style euros which is a must for everybody whatever euros you had in Greektown or the nearest hotdog stand forget about it because the Gyro served in Lyra had me thinking I was living life not knowing what a true Gyro is. It is Monday night, and I am still thinking about that Gyro. Need to go back to Lyra but reservations go so quick. So if you’re thinking about trying this spot, it is highly encouraged and pleaseeee come hungry! Get the desert donuts, you won’t be disappointed ;)

    We booked a reservation for Lyra a month out to make it a special evening for a 40th birthday. Our table was not in the main dining room which is why we booked, for a great birthday experience. There were so many miscommunications between the staff such as: bringing out the bill even though a credit card was left at the hostess stand to ovoid the fight over who’s paying, drinks were brought out and asked if we had ordered (turned out our friends had prepaid a bottle of champagne and a birthday drink for us), our coats were taken for coat check and then placed on a chair in the corner of the restaurant and so much more. However, our waiter was amazing and food was amazing.

    The food was ok, not extraordinary…tuna tartare was missing a chip or a pita. The food was a little cold, however, the lamb chops had great flavor. The drinks were ok too- no riesling no moscato.

    Not that authentic food, too loud to have a romantic dinner or conversation. However, music is good but not that fun when you have to sit to enjoy it fully. Drinks were good too.

    The waitress (Denise P) neglected to tell us the portions were rather large and ideally for 2 people, so when the gyro platter and specialty fish dinner both arrived and she saw the shock on our faces, her reply was “everything bags up really well”. We are fairly certain she also charged us for a round of drinks we didn’t receive. The food itself is phenomenal and given the information above, is a good value for the price.

    A group of friends and I went for my birthday and the waitress was not only extremely rude making fun of what we chose to order but we had to go looking for her because shouldn’t come back for hours at a time. We were there for almost 4 hours because it was impossible getting served. Terrible experience and time spent celebrating me turning 30… which they completely blew off and did nothing special for.

    The app should give a better description of main dinning room and main dinning room & sun room. If you select the option with the sun room- you are basically being put in a room off to the side that they use for private dinning. When it’s not booked, they seem to open it as “main dinning.” Don’t even try to ask for a table in the main dinning room- they won’t accommodate you AT ALL. Seems like others have made the same mistake and you can watch their faces become disappointed when they are led to this sad room off to the side away from the ambiance of the main dinning room. Unless you’re a family with kids or booking a large party, tables of 2-4 should not be sat in here. Awful room for seating.

    Best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. Lots of Instagrammy places have popped up recently and the food generally is overhyped. Lýra gets an A+ for both ambience and food. The bar is also really cute. I recommend the short rib pasta or the lobster pasta. Both were incredible!

    Wonderful experience and fantastic food! The only problem was that the wait staff were a little too eager and tried to take our plates and food while we were still eating. I appreciate their attentiveness, but it became a little frustrating and made us feel rushed. It happened multiple times during our meal.

    Second time here but we didn't have a good experience. Our waiter was not attentive at all. He would disappear for a very long time without checking on us. We had reservations for 6:30, got to the restaurant around 6:35. We ordered food maybe within 5-7 minutes. A couple next to use got seated AFTER us, and somehow they got their food ( gyros, fish, and a side) around 7. Our food didn't get served until 7:50-7:55pm. How, I don't know!! The server even brought us an extra side dish with our food that we didn't order and we asked the server to take it back. I have no idea if we were charged for it or not. My fiancé asked for a refill on his Diet Pepsi and didn't get one. A server took the lobster pasta dish without even asking if we were done eating, and we weren't done eating in case you were wondering. There was still pasta and a lot of lobster left on that serving platter. The gyros was SO DRY! The meat was dry and tough to chew. Absolutely horrible. We were only able to take literally few bites that are still soft. I had to eat from my fiancé's pasta dish because the gyros was pretty much not eatable. I did request a sparkler for dessert on my reservation and they brought out Loukoumades with a sparkler for my fiancé's birthday. The only good part about last night. I am so disappointed and embarrassed. I wanted my fiancé to have fun on his birthday and enjoy this dinner, but it was filled with disappointment and subpar (at best) food. Do better Lyra!

    When spending the kind of money they charge one would expect service to match. All our food came out at different times, waitress did not engage to ask if we need anything, one of our attendees wanted another cocktail but she came and went so fast, no time to order, this happened a few times. Food was delicious, though the spanakopita lacked anything special. very dissappointed

    It was my birthday dinner. Went on and booked one month ahead and was so looking forward to it. They made us wait for the table and put us at the worst table in a side room. Then when we complained, they had a manager come over and tell us to leave and come back another day. I’ve never written a bad review in my life but also have never been so disrespected and on a special day I looked forward to for so long.

    The food was great and our server was the sweetest! However the wine selection is not very extensive - mostly greek - and unnecessarily expensive (a pinot noir which is usually 23 dollars in retail was 78 dollars - delicious but come on). Also, I specifically made reservations for the main dining room and arrived 20 mins early only to be seated at a smaller room with a big and noisy group for dining. When I mentioned my disappointment and asked to be re-seated, she didn’t even offer to accommodate when a table becomes available. Basically she told us that, it is either this table or you can leave. Not friendly, not professional so not planning to go back anytime soon! I still think the food and our server was great!
