Very nice place for a casual setting or a date night and the service was great. The place can get a bit noisy, but the tables were quaint and intimate.
The food was delicious but the service was not great. Our waitress would disappear for 25 minutes at a time. Our appetizers were brought to us 3 minutes before our food which i asked for that not to happen. Our server was just horrible, I’m disappointed.
I always love going here but our waitress this time seemed to be in a hurry to get us out even though we had only been there for under an hour. She put the check on the table without asking us if we wanted anything else. Seeing that we had sat down and eaten all before an hour I thought it was a little premature to put our bill down. I will be back but hopefully next time we won’t be rushed out.
This is a cool, fabulous restaurant with a menu with tons of variety. Love that we can eat dinner at 11:30. It is noisy and happening. The tomato bisque is to die for
My husband and I came here to celebrate our seventh year wedding anniversary. I read an article about how great the Moscow Mule was at this restaurant. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Our appetizer was the Caviar Devilled Eggs. Delish! My husband and was pleased with this steak and I really enjoyed my burger. For dessert we had the Snickers Pie. Also, FREAKING DELISH! The Snickers Pie was a pleasant surprise. All the wait staff was wonderfully engaging, entertaining and so polite. I highly recommend LuxBar for the drinks, the food and the service and we look forward to eating here again.
Cool place! Fancy inside and great food, but at affordable price.
Great food and great bloody Mary’s
Service wasn't comparable with the cost - was not impressed with customer service. Food was overall decent; loved the buffalo chicken salad, the French omelette was mediocre at best (I can make something better at home.)
great food, excellent service at the bar. perfect for a football sunday brunch
The quality of LUXBAR seems to have declined over the years. Nowadays their menu is quite limited, with sandwiches and burgers predominating. The steak I ordered was bland and overcooked; I was still hungry after I finished it. The restaurant is also very loud, making it hard to converse.
Susie is an amazing server. She always takes her time and makes us feel comfortable.
We were having dinner on a Saturday and felt rushed out as I still had half my plate full with fork in hand when a busboy asked if I was done so he could take my plate. My guest still has his plate so don’t understand that. The tables could be spaced out more so servers are not bumping every time they pass through - which was quite often. The food was very good and location is ideal.
Wow, can’t imagine why anyon
Delicious brunch! You will not be disappointed, guaranteed!
Good food and drinks, attentive service, fun atmosphere....will definitely go back.
food was very regular. extremely noisy. fair prices
Wyatt Hoffman took excellent care of us and anticipated every need with genuine care. Thanks Wyatt for a great evening. Cheers,
Great happy hour!
Little slow bringing syrup, pancake/waffle got cold. Serve could have been more attentive. Maybe a bit overwhelmed.
Had a wonderful brunch with family! The food was delicious and plentiful to be shared. The cocktails were also spot on. Perfect Bloody Mary and Mimosa!! Great spot to relax and enjoy ~ and the staff were attentive and engaging/funny.
Beautiful interior with a nice fireplace. Perfect for brunch.
Moved to Chicago today. Great experience!
Great food and drink recommendation! service was great!
Our waiter, John I think was fab!!
Great. The service, good and ambiance was just what we needed.
This has become our go to New Years Day brunch place when visiting. Fantastic bloody Mary’s with served with a little beer shot sidecar, fantastic avocado toast, a marvelous place all around..
Our server was extremely personable and gave us the perfect amount of attention considering we were on a date. Not too much, not too little - just right!
Was able to obtain a last minute reservation here for a table of 6 on New Years Eve. Staff was professional and attentive. Great ambiance with fireplace and warm festive lighting. Love the selection of bourbon and whiskey for a make your own Old Fashioned. Food was excellent and fairly priced as well.
Amazing breakfast/brunch. Possibly the best Bloody Mary in Chicago!
Everything was wonderful! Kids being allowed made it a little more casual but still a wonderful place and time!
Always a great time.
Server was fabulous. Great personality, good service.
tables too close together.. people could not move around them, including servers. Very noisy, difficult to have a conversation at the table.
Upbeat atmosphere, a little loud, but not too loud. The server was friendly, smart, and gave us great reccommendations. We had theatre tix, and they were very conscious of our timeline. The steak frites was terrific!
We try to make it to the Luxbar when we come to Chicago at least for breakfast. Took some friends that had never been before, they LOVED it!
So I was expecting to have an actual “luxury” experience. But it was just another wrigleyville bar. Loud, food was mediocre, service was typical, but design was nice.
Great manhattans and old fashioneds! Burgers were very good. Limited menu is the only reason I gave it a 4. Get a cozy table by the firelace this winter! The 4 of us really enjoyed our visit there. Good walking in surrounding area (Rush Street), too, to walk off the booze.
Have been coming here periodically since they opened. It's in my neighborhood and I'm happy about that. It's parent restaurant is Gibson's, but it is more casual, lower prices, with patrons who are mostly locals and a younger crowd. Food is always good, and they're great about substituting if you have a request they can fulfill. The only downside is it can get a littler nosey, but it's a comfortable place with great food and drinks, so if noise bothers you, avoid weekend nights and periods of big televised sporting events.
Loud, but great service and food
So amazing. I will definitely be coming back.
