   We went to Luties to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant itself was cozy and beautiful. Aiden is the manager and honestly, he made our whole experience amazing. The place was quite busy and he was helping in the bar. He was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and comfortable. We had the green dish, it was incredible. The greens with the butternut squash was delicate and the dressing was well balanced and delicate. I could eat that every day. The estate bread was crispy, warm, and perfectly salty. The swordfish with caviar, mouthwatering. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Our server, Martha was wonderful, as was the whole staff. I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Thank you, Aiden, for making sure my birthday was the perfect Luties experience.

   The space evoked a fun, garden party atmosphere! The room was designed and decorated with a tasteful, playful hand. The service was warm, gracious and attentive. The food was hearty yet light, a perfect combination of comfort food adorned with intricate ingredients that brightened and elevated every bite. All the dishes, including the housemade warm bread, were delicious and delightful and were enhanced with the beautiful wine suggestion from our server. Very lovely, we will be back!

   Had a great date night at Lutie’s. After a UT football game we had made a reservation much earlier than our typical dinner. A unique menu made it very difficult for us to decide so instead we went with the chef’s tasting menu. Very glad we did. We commented that many dishes we never would have ordered were standouts. Bluefin tuna was amazing, the green dish description will never do it Justice and is a must try and the Pomfret in chive beurre blanc were standouts. We also really loved the estate bread. Dessert paled in comparison to an amazing multi course dinner. Highly recommend.

   Great food! We got the chef tasting menu, and every course was delicious. What I appreciate about their food is that it’s good because they’ve balanced and matched flavors beautifully and oftentimes unexpectedly (duck breast with prunes and Shishito peppers)), not because they just over-salted or threw a bunch of bold flavors your way. Their food is subtle and beautiful and balanced. You can taste the ingredients. And our back server Vincente was amazing! And the space is beautiful.

    A secret tasting menu?! Yes please! We were struggling to pick from all the amazing options, but our excellent server let us in on their recently launched secret offering. We got the reservation last minute, and couldn't have been happier with the way our evening panned out. A truly special feel, the food, the service, it all comes with such close attention. I particularly enjoyed the trout and rice dish which felt like it came right out of a story from Chefs Table.

    Best, and most expensive, biscuit I ever had! It was one of several clearly understood menu items, the rest required explanation from the server. Like, “Mixto Frito.” Huh? Or “Green.” Please, you gotta tell me more! Water glasses were not filled promptly, wine not dispensed timely, ferns hanging from ceiling pots were too long and annoying on the way to the bathroom. This small, quaint, hard to find restaurant was very interesting and a good experience overall, and I would go again, but maybe prefer a different server.

    The food there, while pricey, is decently sized and the MOST AMAZING DELICACIES I HAVE EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO EAT. You will pay a pretty penny, but the food is phenomenal and the drinks are superb. You get what you pay for. The service blew my mind--very attentive and highly knowledgeable. It was an experience I am likely to remember for the rest of my life. I highly recommend for ANY special occasion and if you can, whenever you want to eat well and enjoy the ambiance of a unique Austin gem!

    Waited a long time to get a reservation here. The ambience is really great / unique. Services was excellent. Food is just okay. I had to change our reservation time last minute so we were moved to the patio, definitely recommend skipping that and waiting for a table inside. There was a very large wedding at the site, so competing noise from the wedding (toasts, band) and then the music Lutie's was playing on the patio, very strange. Glad we went, but don't plan to return.

    I researched online to find a great restaurant in Austin for "Atmosphere". By that I mean an atmosphere that caters to the dining experience, not the hearing experience. I found Luties via the Open Table recommendations for "Ambience". 2/4 of us arrived early and were promptly seated at our reserved table. The music was both uncomfortably loud AND overly vocal. No decent conversation could be held. There must be speakers above every table and it was like having someone yelling right in your ear. I'd say it was at an 8 and we prefer a 2 so we can hear the people we are dining. We asked if they could turn it down a little and they obliged quickly and put it down around a 6. The waitress came around to describe the specials for the evening while we waited for our other 2 but we could not hear her clearly. I interrupted her to say "If I have to listen to this music yelling in my ear all evening, I will give you a 1 star review." Fair warning, which I meant. She immediately disappeared and the music was turned down to a 4, approaching tolerable. Quickly a manager appeared to explain to me why the customer is never right: "This is the lowest we are allowed to put it." "We paid somecompany big bucks to design this music experience blah blah blah." None of which we either cared for nor did anything to deliver a great experience. I resolved to give that 1 star if the music predictably returned, which it did, and always does. At this point our other 2 joined us and their first comment, at the "4" was that the music was awfully loud. It still was. The music continued to get louder and more talkative as the meal went on. Think "Alex Jones" or "Rush Limbaugh" ranting in your ear for 2 hours. They then told us we should order 8-10 courses for 4. We ordered 6 and 5 was enough. BAD ADVICE not benefitting the customer. I won't get into the food as we won't back. In my 6 years delivering a customer experience, this is the worst I've observed. Stay away.

    If you want a meal to remember for a long time, visit Lutie's. Not only is it such an amazing environment, each of our courses was a delight to enjoy. Nothing was ordinary, not even their homemade butter. It is not easy to get a reservation to eat here but if you do, you won't be disappointed.

    For how beautiful a restaurant is and for it being at the beautiful Commodore Perry, the food and cocktails were awful. Very limited and weird menu. Limited cocktail and wine by the glass menu. Very unimpressive. But the ambiance is beautiful.

    We celebrated our anniversary. Atmosphere beautiful but the music was blaring, We could not hear the waitress nor could she not hear us. We mentioned that we could not hear one another and asked if it could be turned down. She asked the hostess who said she would turn it down a-bit and we could move outside if we preferred.!
