   Lury is one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had! The set menu is roughly ten courses, each one innovative and full of incredible flavour, and clearly made with passion. I strongly recommend the Arrack old fashioned as an accompaniment. The decor is warm, modern and tasteful and our service was wonderful throughout. I will be coming back soon!

   Fabulous set tasting menu in a small and intimate setting. Every dish was a work of art and tasted as good as it looked. The drinks list was short but hit the spot - it's really nice not to be overwhelmed with choice sometimes! Service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Highly recommended - we'll certainly visit again to enjoy another great meal and see how the dishes change with the seasons.

   An excellent experience on the South coast to try out Lury (and we will be looking to come back soon!) Our table of six was excellently taken care of with our server engaging at the right level to not feel intrusive. Extra checks on the two nut allergies on our table to ensure everyone was happy was much appreciated as well! Standout dishes include the Mas Paan (think curry filled bread) and one of the best scallops I've ever eaten accompanied by a crab sauce. Service and drinks offering was equally splendid. As someone who doesn't drink, the apple juice they provided didn't intrude on the flavours of the meal and the wine went down a storm with my fellow guests. We found it refreshing that the chef, who does all the cooking on his own, brought out some of the dishes as well, with his nuggets of information helping us to learn more about the dishes' origins Excited to come back soon and see what new dishes Lury cooks up in the future

   Absolutely spectacular food at a very reasonable price, exactly the right amount and beautifully presented. The service was lovely too, informative but not intrusive and very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

   My wife and I visited “Lury” last weekend and the entire experience was incredible. The food, a 10 course tasting menu Founded in Sri Lankan flavours but with a contemporary fine dining twist, was some of the best I’ve ever had. For drinks, we had a sparking rhubarb, a lovely fresh pressed apple juice and a really well made old fashioned. The restaurant only seats 10 so the whole experience felt really unique and special. We even got to chat with the chef afterwards. The value for money is also great. Coming from London, you wouldn’t find anything this good for less than double the price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    Our experience at Lury was outstanding. The flavour combinations of every single dish was so well thought out, incredibly creative, and unlike anything we've tasted before. Out of the 10 x dishes on the tasting menu, there was not 1 that felt flat or uninteresting. Every single dish was standout. It was hard to pick our favourite dishes because they were all so memorable. The service was attentive and kind without being overbearing. The ambience is relaxed and romantic, but paired back in a simple way. We couldn't be happier to have a restaurant of this quality in Hastings and can't wait to visit again. And we must say, cardamom butter is an absolute revelation!!
