   Absolutely spectacular food at a very reasonable price, exactly the right amount and beautifully presented. The service was lovely too, informative but not intrusive and very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

   My wife and I visited “Lury” last weekend and the entire experience was incredible. The food, a 10 course tasting menu Founded in Sri Lankan flavours but with a contemporary fine dining twist, was some of the best I’ve ever had. For drinks, we had a sparking rhubarb, a lovely fresh pressed apple juice and a really well made old fashioned. The restaurant only seats 10 so the whole experience felt really unique and special. We even got to chat with the chef afterwards. The value for money is also great. Coming from London, you wouldn’t find anything this good for less than double the price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

   Our experience at Lury was outstanding. The flavour combinations of every single dish was so well thought out, incredibly creative, and unlike anything we've tasted before. Out of the 10 x dishes on the tasting menu, there was not 1 that felt flat or uninteresting. Every single dish was standout. It was hard to pick our favourite dishes because they were all so memorable. The service was attentive and kind without being overbearing. The ambience is relaxed and romantic, but paired back in a simple way. We couldn't be happier to have a restaurant of this quality in Hastings and can't wait to visit again. And we must say, cardamom butter is an absolute revelation!!

   Come here yesderday for my anniversary dinner and was greeted by a special handwritten note wishing me and my partner a happy anniversary which was a nice touch, every one of the ten courses was new, exiting and delicious it was an amazing experience. Due to the small amount of tables it was like having a private Michelin dinner. The chef even come to bring the last course personally which was also a nice touch to meet the man behind the food. Great experience thanks to everyone at Lury

   Wonderful meal, really bright and exciting dishes, blending great local fare, Sri Lankan flavours, and contemporary execution. Stand-outs for me were the Quail's Egg with Seeni Sambol, Venison, and Cashew Profiteroles. Some lovely wines to choose from, and a playlist heavy on Bonobo was also greatly appreciated.

   We got to attend the soft launch of Lury and had a really wonderful time! The space and atmosphere are welcoming and relaxed while still feeling like somewhere special. The Sri Lankan-inspired tasting menu was well executed and had some really delicious flavour combinations - the fried quails egg with sambal and lime foam and the turmeric gnocchi with onion, chive oil and pickled mustard seeds were stand outs, but everything was well cooked and beautifully presented. The arrack old fashioned was a nice twist on a classic. Especially considering it was the first night of their soft launch, everything went very smoothly, congrats!
