It used to be one of my favorite italian restaurant in DC but this time the food was bad. We ordered different plates but none was good. I dont think I will be back again.

I don't really understand the appeal of this place, besides its decor and location. The food is so oil soaked it's hard to differentiate flavors.

Lupo Verde is a favorite spot for me! The cocktails, wine and food are always fantastic and the staff is so helpful and friendly. If you can, go for the charcuterie - it is fantastic!

The most amazing Italian food I have ever had. The Fusilli Campagni is so incredible- a must taste if you've never been!

This was my first time to Lupo Verde, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was so cute and great for the date I was on. The staff was super attentive -- our server knew so much about the different cheeses and items on the menu and was very helpful when we were struggling to make decisions. We had two glasses of wine each, a cheese plate, and a bowl of pasta each and it was great. Pasta was very fresh. I had the cappellacci which was good but a little heavy on the garlic, and my date had the agnolotti which was amazing.

I am celiac/ gluten-free, so good character that always makes the experience even better for me. But with that as a jumping off point, which was excellent, the food was so good and the service so fantastic that I would go back almost every single night if I could. Absolutely spectacular.

Great spot for our non traditional Thanksgiving dinner! Good menu of wines by the glass. They offer several (delicious) pasta dishes, plus a few fish and meat options. Everything was great. Ask to sit upstairs for a more intimate date table. Will definitely be back.

Made a reservation for Thanksgiving brunch on OpenTable. We drive into the city parked only to find the restaurant was not open.

The next day I called the restaurant to make sure I would not be penalized as a “no show”. They took my name and number and said they would have the manager contact me. No one ever called.

Horrible customer service!!!

We’re from out of town meeting up with friends. Attentive service, great suggestions for group appetizer, and just perfect pasta dishes, complex and handmade. I’d eat here again anytime.

Really amazing food!! That being said, we had a reservation for 9:30pm and weren't seated until 10:30pm. That's kind of ridiculous. Very delicious, but shouldn't have to wait an hour when you've already made a reservation.

Lupo Verde was Fantastico! Went with my wife on Saturday evening and really enjoyed our night out. Great food and excellent service from a very caring waitress. The cheese platter/charcuterie is a great starter and we finished with pasta and pizza and felt both were great. Interesting wine list too. Definitely, going back..

I bitterly regret having chosen that restaurant as my last place to visit before leaving Washington. The policy of the restaurant is to overbook customers; if you are unlucky to be one of these "extra client", be prepared to be seen as burden for the staff, as displayed by disrespectful behaviours.

We arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation, a simple table for two. According to the waiter, ten minutes were needed for our table to be ready. We therefore sat at the bar, and ordered drinks to kill the time (whilst we were hungry and just wanted to eat). No appetisers were offered. After half an hour and no update from any staff member, we chased our original waiter for an answer - he gave us another "yeah yeah, ready in ten minutes", seemingly annoyed. We decided at that point to order food from the bartender, precising that we did not intend to eat at the bar as our table should be ready soon (the bar was rather noisy and uncomfortable). This information did not get transmitted to the kitchen, as our order came out of it 20mn later, before we got to be sited. Because we had asked not to eat at the bar, we did not receive cutlery, so the (expansive) starter we ordered was standing in front of us and getting cold, whilst waiters were shouting amongst them in front of us to figure who to blame for our dissatisfaction. We only managed to eat our food (cold) once we finally sat down! Our main dish came afterwards (roughly 1h30 after we got in the restaurant), pork chops (with virtually no side), with lots of fat around the meat and very undercooked. I had to return my dish to the kitchen, so me and my friend did not eat together. We did not order dessert despite us being still hungry, we just wanted to leave.

Overall, portions were very small for their price, and staff unfriendly when challenged.

The restaurant is cute and has a warm ambiance but the space is super tight and you can hear all the conversations from
neighboring tables. It also seemed they were understaffed when we visited as it took forever for everything. The food was good, but not enough to make me want to go back.

I can't speak to the other menu items but the scratch made pasta they serve here is truly fantastic. Been here a couple times just for it. Bravo.

Great food. Really bad service experience with the waiter and when I spoke to the manager about it, he was flippant and couldn’t be bothered. One of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had but the food was very good. I’m sure the very bad service is hit or miss. So may be worth it for the great food.

Excellent food and autmosohere. Communal type tables down stairs, more intimate setting upstairs. However if you request upstairs ask not to be seated at the table by the bar at the top of the stairs. Bar got very busy and bus boys were speeding up and down the stairs using the banaster next to our table to turn the corner quickly.

Menu tries too hard to be "different", but otherwise good except for being overly salty. Service was responsive. Seating was prompt with a reservation. Food prices are moderate but drink prices are high. Seating outside is great for people watching, inside is a noisey (but then most restaurants are). Inside tables are a bit close.
