I have been here many times before however this night was very different from the other times I have been there. It seemed to be one waiter for the whole bottom floor. He was paying more attention to table of 6 then to anyone else in the place. We had to ask for bread, we didnt get get our drink order in as he seemed to disappear. I had to ask another person helping there who filled our water glasses if we could order beverages. When we did get the wine and beer he brought me the wrong beer. The night was not busy at all I just would like to say. So there really wasn't any reason to not be able to handle the few tables there. I was highly disappointed in the service. The food was great as always.

Excellent service ! Our server Mo was wonderful and gave us insight on the delicious menu . The wine list was well detailed and lots of variety! We hung out at the bar after dinner and the bar server was great as well! We can’t wait to go back ;)

This is the best Italian restaurant in the DMV! Very authentic yet the Chef gives a very unique distinction to classic Italian dishes. I recommend the home made pasta as a part of your meal. The list of Italian wines is remarkable. Very Romantic.... but make reservations in advance.

Great service and authentic Italian flavors. Pizza, pasta, salads and cheeses were enjoyed by our party of 4 and everyone pronounced them "the best ever." The management was accommodating in moving us to a different table (upstairs) so we could have more of a group conversation. Excellent!

Went for brunch with friends. Food itself was good, but the wait for abnormally long and the service was lacking even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. Our server never checked in to make sure our food was prepared correctly or to refill water.

This place is amazing!! This is the second time I've been and it wont be my last. I spent NYE here with my boyfriend and another couple and we had a wonderful time. The. Food. Is. Amazing! I mean, its on the level where you take the first bite of something and your eyes get big and your in complete shock; you never thought it would taste thattttt good. The service is great. The servers are personable and come around a perfect amount to make sure you have what you need. Lets talk about the atmosphere! the place is small, old charm and gives you that cozy, intimate feel. Dim lighting and comforting. I highly recommend this place. I will continue to come to this restaurant even if there are 8 million others in DC. :) #teamlupo

This was perfect for our group of 8. Food was excellent and Enzo took great care of us. The meat and cheese boards, pastas, and desserts were all spot on. Sat downstairs and loved it.

Simply terrific Italian food and ingredients. The burrata is intensely creamy and decadent. The pastas are delicate, hand made and delicious. They have a terrific cheese and meat board selection. The focaccia is great too. Really terrific meals on a corner with a good selection of different options for food.

We are DC locals who have been coming to Lupo Verde for a few years now. We always have the best experience when we walk through their doors. From our server Anne Marie (who has become our favorite server in the whole city), to Tony at the bar upstairs, to hostess Ksenia, we had top notch service on a recent visit for a birthday dinner on New Year's weekend. We look forward to our next visit!

We were looking forward to this highly recommended restaurant but were disappointed. The food was just okay, particularly since it was expensive. Most of all, we didn't like the service. The waiter was not particularly friendly, disappeared when we wanted him and yet seemed to hover nearby when we wanted to enjoy the meal. Our dishes were very slow to arrive and the waiter was very slow to take away our finished appetizers. Generally disappointed - and it was on a night when it wasn't very crowded, which could have explained some of the service issues.

The food here is spectacular. However, we went on Christmas Eve, and the restaurant was running a special fixed price menu that slowed things down enormously - we sat down at 6pm and our entrees were served at 830pm (we ordered a cheese plate but not a series of appetizers). Even so I'd go again with the hope that service is normally faster.

As usual it was a wonderful Christmas Eve meal. Food was spectacular. The kitchen was very very behind and that was evident for other diners with a later reservation, but we had a fantastic meal! It was slow to start and slow to get to dessert. I must say Ann Marie was the best waitress I have ever had truthfully. She was attentive and gave great suggestions. She made the experience even better. My favorite dish was the lobster ravioli.

Holiday menu was reduced from what was on their website. Just not used to DC prices - small bowl of spaghetti over $30 after T&T. $4 cokes. Good grief! And this places is rated as $$. Wine - $15+.
Tiny tables stuck into small spaces. No tablecloths, no placemats even. Would be charming if the prices were half.

Lupo Verde's food is very good, but it's appetizers and "main course" entrees (i.e., not pasta or pizza), are very expensive.

I found the restaurant to be a wonderful experience! The food is not over-the-top flavorful as expected by American foodies in that every bite has to be the is explosion of flavor. Rather, the food is balanced to allow the ingredients to come through. A limited menu allows for focus on the subtleties of the ingredients, which is appreciated here. Restaurants in Italy do not serve dishes with an explosion of flavor, nor should regional restaurants in the U.S.

The place has wonderful ambience and comfortable. The waiters or our table appeared to be from Italy, offering knowledge of the food that we order. Being that I cook, this is always a plus of having local knowledge about the food and recipies.

The wine list is outstanding, best amongst others in the city in my opinion. However, I was very anoyed that he manage had the waiter push a wine on us that I did not want. This wine appeared to be one that was reaching its shelf life and its flavor starting to change toward something that would undoubtedly by raisin-like or “cherry” as is often described for wines that become too acidic. I selected the second wine that was heavier and would go along with the meals that several of us had and the others preferred, even though they had meals that would pair well with a lighter wine. To me this told of a perception that I did not know or understand wine and the restaurant wanted to take advantage of that and push something that was not what I wanted. Just because I may not have pronounced a wine’s name or house correctly, nor ordered one that does not pair “pedectly,” does not mean I am dumb about wine!

We are going back soon because one experience should not prevent another try. But if this same experience happens again, I will seek another place for Italian that may not have as great a wine list, but won’t treat me like an expense account client. So pay attention to the wine they bring and be cautious with a replacement. If they do, reresearch the list.
