A neighborhood gem. Both the food and wine were very good and reasonably priced. Her party also felt we received attentive and courteous service. When asked, our waitress gave very good recommendations for wine pairings with their dishes.
Our brunch at Lupo Verde Osteria was perfect.
The food was prepared superbly.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasing -- good vibe, interesting art on the walls.
The service was excellent -- attentive, very pleasant and helpful servers.
What's not to like?
Neighborhood gem! It’s a little hard to hear in this intimate restaurant, but the food, ambiance and service was excellent. An overall fantastic dining experience!
Second visit is still surprising & amazing, really like the foods here & attentive & friendly services! Highly highly recommend it!
It was my first time to visit this restaurant. It did not disappoint.
Pasta was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The wine list is good, but the upcharge was significantly higher than I would have expected. The Chef's Table is nice because away from everywhere else and so only the noise from the kitchen. This was perfect to have a good conversation during dinner and has a nice ambiance to it.
What a hidden gem in northern Georgetown! Definitely will fall for this boutique place once stepping inside, besides foods are really delicious & tasteful, attentive services from everyone. Highly highly recommend it!
We prefer this location to the mothership on 14th Street. The food is always excellent (the carciofi are even better than they are in Rome), the service low-key and the atmosphere is relaxing, dark and hospitable. This would be your ideal local restaurant if local restaurants served heart-breakingly good Italian dishes. I could imagine the cacio e pepe as my last meal.
Delicious homemade pasta, incredible service...thank you, Aldo...we had a great time!
Unfortunately this was such a different experience from my previous visit.
My husband and I each started with a nice glass of wine and were served stale bread to go with it.
I had an excellent Lupo salad but my husband said his caesar style salad was just so-so.
My husband had the branzino and once again said it was just so-so.
I had the short rib ravioli and it was just plain not good. It was served only lukewarm and the ravioli were hard- not al dente but hard. Very disappointing.
Probably will not go back.
The waiter served the wrong dish and tried to convince me that I had order it.
Everything was amazing. GM Leo was so hospitable. Gave us a tour. Will definitely be back.
It's great to have Lupo Verde in the neighborhood. Food delicious, service excellent.
The food is excellent but at least in my opinion is not worth it the LONG time it takes and the price.
We would absolutely return. We had a wonderful waiter and the food was delicious! It's a cozy restaurant with a friendly staff.
Lupo Verde Osteria is a real Italian restaurant and the dishes have an Italian taste. You can eat Prosciutto di Parma, Carciofi alla Giuda or Ravioli del Plin together an excellent wine Roero Arneis of Vietti. The personnel is very kind and polite. For sure this is one of the best restaurant in DC.
Great food and wine and service but parking is slightly tricky and prices are, well lets say there are no bargains. For a special occasion when you are feeling flush. but we will return when we can!
Great new restaurant
Perfect for a date night. Food is fantastic and their pasta is homemade. Service is 5 star.
An outstanding meal from start to finish. We had squash blossoms with pesto and Heirloom tomatoes with Burrata to start, followed by divine braised short rib agnolotti in a butter sage sauce and finally a delicious tiramisu. Truly wonderful meal.
Good food but some of the description on the menu did not match the plate given (watercress was replaced by mixed greens and classic sauce for fried artichoke replaced with green sauce) - could have used another waiter on staff so when dealing with high noise level we could have had a better service experience.
We love Lupo Verde .. it’s our neighborhood go to... Food is always fantastic and our picky eater son can always find something that he likes. My husband got the whole fish special .. they debone and serve tableside.. I got the chicken. You may say to yourself.. why would you get chicken at an Italian restaurant... because it’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with a wonderful sauce that is light and not too much...our son got the spaghetti pomodoro with burrata and cherry tomatoes... he loved it.. the meat and cheese tray is a family favorite so we always get that too.. it’s a cozy restaurant with friendly service and really good food.. what’s not to love!!!
I've been wanting to go there but am so glad that I finally did. It was wonderful. Charming atmosphere, great service and the food was really delicious.
Thank you so much, our celebration lunch was amazing !!
Waiter was slow and had an additional waiter step in plus requests made with bus boys - ordered bottle of white wine which was WARM
Very disappointing experience. Ordered one of the "homemade" pastas as that is reportedly a specialty: aglio e olio. Pasta was so salty it was difficult to taste anything else. Though service overall was good, with rapid refills of water (essential in my case given high salt content of pasta), would not return.
This is a lovely, friendly neighborhood gem. The staff is very friendly. We even met the chef, who came from the back to meet and welcome guests.
Everything was fresh and delicious. The homemade pasta was light and full of flavor.
We hope to return again and again.
Interesting and yummy antipasti. The artichokes are a favourite. We’ve always had very attentive, but not too attentive, service. But it’s a little too pricey. Try it for lunch first. Same or very, very similar menu.
Loved everything about the place! Pasta was delicious!!
Outstanding food and exceptional service.
What a delicious dinner we had at Lupo Verde in the Palisades on Saturday night. Absolutely delicious wine, caprese salad, fresh pasta, fresh fish cooked to perfection, and gelato! What could be better! Every course was a treat!!
I cannot say enough good things about Lupo Verde. I’ve been here twice now, and everything is fantastic. Even something as simple as cacio e pepe is worth a special trip. You can’t make it like this at home! The servers were very friendly and checked on our table personally many times, spending time talking with us about Italy, music, the food, anything. What a great experience. Highly recommend.
Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious!
Unbearably loud on 2nd floor for dinner Saturday evening. Excellent food and attentive service.
The food was good until the pasta arrived. Flavor was good but the pasta was “tough”. Hardly anyone in the restaurant but service was very slow.
The food was excellent -- the pasta was perfectly al dente and the fish was perfectly cooked. The price was steep however.
Ekteryna delivers exceptionally attentive service and spot on cocktails. Lovely to sit in the bar area.
Aldo was absolutely incredible! Helped us with our wine selection and menu choices. Will definitely come back for the food and service.
Potential Bias and Poor Service = Bad Night
This was one of the worst dining experiences we have had ever. First, we had a reservation for 8:30 pm, but were not seated for over an hour just after 9:30 pm. During the wait, the hostess never came to provide updates or offer a complimentary drink. The bartender was rude and not welcoming - very difficult to get his attention, despite not many people at the bar. When we complained, the hostess offered us a table in the basement - she said no one was down there so it would be private - we declined, and if this was an option, not sure why it was not offered to the other diners who came after us and were seated before us - we suspect at least two couples did not have a reservation. When we again complained, the hostess was rude and said we just need to wait.
We then opted to eat at the bar. At this time I noted to the hostess that I suspect a non-minority would have receive better treatment. She stormed away. A minute later a manager approached and said a table was available upstairs - how amazing given that no one had departed since the interaction with the hostess So, there was a table - but upstairs and out of sight of the prime guests - Right. We declined & said the bar was fine. Then a table opened right across from us, we asked, but first was told it was reserved and then that we would be more comfortable upstairs. We insisted & got the coveted table.
The manager apologized, disputed that there was any bias. However, we note that the service we received was poor - no one offered to tell us the specials or the fish or the day, we were offered bread, they did not explain the menu. We felt like second class citizens. In the end, we felt very uncomfortable at the restaurant, the manager did not charge for the drinks at the bar. However, this made for a poor evening, a sincere feeling of discrimination as the only Black diner and simply bad service. We will not return & DO NOT RECOMMEND!
The restaurant was so loud you could not hear anything. Food is delicious but if you are looking for a quiet place to chat this is not the restaurant.
