Great experience! The food was very good and authentic, when compared to many of the other Italian restaurants in DC. The staff were very kind and accommodating as well.
I have been here many times and the food, atmosphere and service is always outstanding.
Fabulous for an Italian twist on brunch. Great day to dine outdoors. Very attentive staff. Carbonara is surprisingly light. Citrus carpaccio is delicious. Superb cocktail menu. Looking forward to HH and dinner.
Not a good experience at all. I went today for brunch with my friend. It was her first time; I have been several times for dinner and brunch. My friend is very allergic to dairy and we advised them to keep anything dairy on the side. Pancakes with cream were delivered to the table which we had to send back for obvious reasons. Replacement order arrived with raw batter pancakes when we cut into them, which once again...we had to send back. Finally about 30 mins since we sat down, a new (correct) order arrived. The entrees we had were delicious (steak with potatoes and avocado/egg). Our drinks took awhile to arrive which should have been a part of the brunch package we selected. One of the staff members abruptly dropped off our check on the table (we did not ask for the check) and of course, the check was incorrect. They adjusted the mistake and brought over a new one. This was an extremely embarrassing experience for me, because I raved about this restaurant to my friend and this ended up being the experience. This was just bad. Plenty of other great restaurants on T/14th street NW. After today, I’m avoiding Lupo Verde.
Such a solid restaurant. Good drinks and food in a cozy atmosphere with kind staff.
The food was good. But the selection was limited. Service was definitely below par. They forgot about the wine and brought after the food was served. We had to ask twice for a box for the dessert. I will try again however. It might have been the server.
Lupo Verde has become very popular - tonight the service was a bit off from their usual high standard. Otherwise, perfect, and a pleasure.
Lupo is a longtime favorite but Monday was an off night. Staff and kitchen couldn't seem to keep up though they had limited seating. Dinner lasted about 2.5 hours as service was very slow with everything, from being seated, to focaccia service and the final entree, taking an unusually long time. The caesar salad was over-dressed and soggy, the pork saltimbocca was drowning in oil and my friend's lamb dish was minuscule with two tiny lamb loins. Dinner for two with just one cocktail, appetizer and entree each totalled close to $170. Simply not worth it this time. Know these are hard times so hate to write this but I hope they will do better next time. They tried to be accommodating but I could tell staff was strained and unhappy.
Fantastic food and service.
Well prepared and fresh Italian dishes, very friendly service and nice vibe with tables outside.
Amazing. The food was spectacular. We enjoyed every moment
Lupo Verde is a great place to have brunch with friends! While the inside is tiny, they have created a great environment with a covered patio dining area and heaters at each table. Highly recommend the food too!
We always have a delightful time at LupoVerde. The service is professional, and the food is always tasteful and creative. Bring a coat if dining in the evening in spring, as when the sun goes down, it can be a bit chilly.
Service was terrible - they had to have forgotten about our food order and took over an hour to plate and bring it out.
Everything was delicious and service was very conscientious
Good food and great service from the waiter. Rude hostess though
Place is dope and food even doper. I will return I will recommend.
I had a great time there for brunch with friends. Staff was very friendly and professional. And the food was delicious as well. Will be back for sure :)
Birthday! Surprise champagne, dessert, great experience
Friend from out of town
They called me literally 2 minutes before my brunch reservation (at 2:58pm) to tell me that they close the kitchen at 3pm now, contrary to what is on their website and that I would have to order immediately as soon as I was seated. Then, I asked why they would wait until 2 minutes before to tell me that-- they lied and said they had tried to call me earlier in the day-- simply not true. Then the waiter seated us and literally stood there until we decided. Very unprofessional and honestly annoying considering the price of the food at this restaurant. We felt extremely caught off guard and rushed.
It was wonderful experience.
Food is fantastic
Staff is friendly warm and very accommodating
Love it every time
Outstanding food & service. First time visit to celebrate a birthday & will definitely be back.
Waiter was nice but did not know what gemelli was. Made up answer. Then served fusilli and not gemelli. This place is a pasta place. Fusilli looked out of box, dried vs homemade. Place is drafty.
Great brunch experience and fantastic pasta! The service was also incredible!
This was an amazing experience! Brian Kominsky, the bar manager, was our outstanding server who was not only friendly and professional, but gave us great guidance when it came to ordering. The cooked-in-the-bag sea bass in broth special was absolutely out of this world, and the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe (homemade pasta with cheeses and pepper) was like "macaroni and cheese on crack," I told Brian, who told the chef! The side dishes of carrots and cauliflower were also divine. We are so looking forward to going back and to trying brunch next time, and maybe dinner again when they roll out their spring menu!
we always have a lovely time, sitting outside and enjoying their cold cuts followed by one of their pasta dishes!
I had a reservation for 7pm. I got there at 6:30pm to be seated outside as I knew it was first come, first serve. I did not get seated until 7:30. The food was bland. And the waitress forgot my coke for a good 20 minutes before bringing it out and apologizing. She did not charge for it when I was appreciative of, but overall I expected much better service and was disappointed.
Love Lupo Verde and am so glad to see that they have adjusted to make it through the pandemic. Food was fantastic and ambience was great. Seriously, this is one of my favorite restaurants in DC.
They kept me outside (8:30pm during winter) until my friend arrived instead of accommodating me in our table to wait there. Good food but there are places with better options for less money.
Fabulous service and amazing food!! I love the ambience and building
This is a great spot to come to for a romantic date night, special occasion or drinks with friends. It's small, cozy and tastefully decorated. The drinks are delicious and the wine list is profound. The upstairs has a cute 4-top table overlooking 14th street and the patio, super cute and worth requesting!
Horrible tasting food..greasy, not tasty. Pictures on the website are misleading
Very kind to wish us happy anniversary since I made a note of it when booking the reservation- service and food were phenomenal!
Was a great valentines spot
Some of the dishes were fabulous, and some just OK. The staff could have been friendlier, but would still return.
Great ambience, outstanding service and delicious food!
A first class evening. Stunning dinner. Order the lamb! There is an understated elegance and homestyle warmth to Lupo Verde. The team is attentive and easy going. They set the tone for a relaxing, high quality vibe.
