On the first floor we have high top tables which are community style seating for small groups or individual large party tables. The upstairs floor is a traditional dining room. Please let us know if you have a preference on where would you like to be seated when making your reservation. We will do our best to honor your request depending on availability of tables.

Great food, service and ambiance. Just hard to get a table!
We couldn't have had a better meal or experience! Our waiter was fantastic - had wonderful recommendations, efficient service and was just lovely to talk to. The food was fantastic, not a bad plate in the group, and we sat in a cozy window nook that felt like we were in someone's home.
Food was great, service was a little hit or miss. Overall a decent place.
very good on all counts. Pasta tasting menu was terrific. Service was top notch. Upstairs provides a couple tables away from it all--quiet.
I made a reservation at Lupo Verde for a dinner to celebrate my friend’s birthday since I’ve been wanting to go for dinner after having a good brunch experience. The food was amazing, the service was great, and we received a nice birthday treat. It made our night!
We had a really good meal, but the best part of our experience was the incredible people, who took the time to talk to us and make sure that everything was perfect. I've seldom had better service.
Fantastic service paired with great food but difficult to enjoy the evening when club-like music was pumping at unreasonably loud decibels.
A great place to take out of town guests, for a romantic evening, or for a group. Our favorite Italian restaurant in DC!
Superb food at reasonable (for an upscale) restaurant. Amazing cheese, bread, pasta. Ambience is great. Cozy, nice low lighting.
The whole restaurant across the board always hits it out of the park.
Food was decent but there’s room for customer service.
Perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Lupo Verde has always been a place where I can get an excellent meal. Whether it's red meat or pasta, dishes are tasty. But I do wish they stored their wine appropriately. A bottle of red wine (especially at these prices) should not arrive at my table warm. That's what happens when red wine is stored out in the open without any temperature control. If Lupo Verde addressed this issue, it would be a "10".
Overall I enjoyed my experience. Our server was very sweet (I really wish I remembered his name) and the food was delicious. I just wasn’t too pleased with the end of our time there. My friend and I had ordered a bottle of wine and after we had asked for our check, she still had some in her glass to finish before leaving. At one point I look over and two managers (I can only assume because they didn’t have aprons on like the servers) were hovering right next to our table and constantly looking to see if we’ve paid our check (kept looking directly at the book, not my friend & I). I’m not one of those people who are inconsiderate and linger too long preventing them to turn the table, but our whole dining experience there was only about an hour (the food came up super quickly so that’s a plus). I felt extremely rushed to leave in the end even though my friend was still finishing her wine, which made it seem like they were more concerned with turning the table. Based on this I probably wouldn’t go back again.
Great food, great wine, great service! As someone knows what homemade pasta is supposed to taste like, Lupo Verde knows what they are doing. And the bread - ask for a basket for every person at the table. It's that good! The only thing I could possibly complain about is that the upstairs area was a bit drafty... but that won't stop me from returning or giving this place a 5-star review.
The service here is always above and beyond. The entire staff is extremely kind and accommodating. The food is also delicious. Highly recommend!
Quiet table for our date night dinner. Excellent seafood appetizers and entrées.
Mine and friends birthday. Service was was very accommodating and we both got cakes.
For Italian food, you can't beat Lupo Verde. The tagliatelle was perfect and I really liked my rye drink (can't remember the name); I also loved that it was super chilled, which is how I prefer bourbon. A nice surprise. Excellent service from our waiter too. Thanks!
Food came out cold. Refire wasn’t much better. Ordered a prix fixe at 1:45 main dish came out near 3:00. No updates about what happened. Wait staff was nice and apologetic. I’ve dined here before but not as good as my other times by far.
The service was outstanding from the minute we stepped inside. Food was also amazing.
Great food and a really nice server that made a night out with friends memorable.
The food and the service are both excellent, but the noise level makes communication across the table difficult.
We booked a reservation to celebrate my mom’s birthday. They did an excellent job being attentive throughout the meal, everything we had to eat was absolutely delicious, and all reasonably priced. They even brought a complementary dessert to celebrate the occasion. I’ve consistently been impressed by Lupo Verde and now my mom is also a convert!
This was our third visit. The service continues to be great and the place is enchanting. The antipasti are consistently great, I would give them five stars. The pasta is good but gets a bit old after a while and servings are on the small side for the price.
Wonderful spot for a date or dinner with friends! Amazing service.
Very good but it didn’t live up to the hype and how difficult it usually is to get a reservation. I am willing to go back but am not shouting from the rooftops how good it is.
Anniversary dinner. Food was excellent. Tables are too small and space is claustrophobicly tight. We barely fit into our space and we are skinny.
A great nye! Thank you!
The bartender, Thomas and server, Jo were wonderful! We had a great time from the moment we walked in to have a drink at the bar, to the second floor for dining. A quaint little gem with delicious authentic italian food and picturesque ambiance.
Service and food were quite good however it was extremely noisy. We were told this was unusual and due to a brunch party being held, but it resulted in us just wanting to finish the meal and leave ASAP as we could barely hear each other talk.
The tagliatelle ragu is quite possibly the best we’ve ever had
Nice service, awesome food. A little pricy but you pay for what you got.
We enjoyed our visit. Service was attentive and the environment very warm and pleasant. Carpaccio was very flavorful and the burrata was creative and tasty. We all ordered the pasta sampler, because everything looked so good. It was a lovely early dinner.
Five of us dined at Lupo Verde on Christmas Eve for their “Feast of the Seven Fishes” and were appalled. Particularly for a bill of over $700 (before tip) we never should have been made to feel unwelcome and rushed, but were from the moment our snarky server eventually made his way to our table. Dishes that should have been hot were lukewarm at best and (oddly) watery. Our server was downright obnoxious throughout the meal. We roasted throughout dinner until we cracked a window open. Courses were served before earlier ones were done, dishes weren’t regularly cleared, and the overall attitude as our food was pretty much slung at us was just gross. Management either needs to not serve on and near holidays, or be onsite to run the place like a professional restaurant. That’s the last time I’ll dine there. Huge fail.
My husband and I had Christmas Eve dinner and we enter the front door the greeter was confused with our reservation at 600 pm because there were other couple having 630 reservations As we proceeded upstairs we we handed a prix fix menu $95 or ala carte We had the mussel with white wine which was sandy and cold. I had the grilled octopus chewy and tough The main course was linguine with clams and it came with 6 clams! The swordfish was flaky and dry but the scallop cook in perfection. We definitely did not have a good experience and best this a good for U street corridor customers. Lastly it very expensive hence would rather spend it on other Italian restaurants in DC
Have been loyal diners at Lupo Verde, but dinner there on 12/22/19 was a real disappointment. The first two wines we ordered (on the cheaper end of the menu) were out of stock, and we learned this happens often--forcing people to pay for a more expensive bottle. We all ordered affogatti for dessert, but instead of vanilla ice cream they used hazelnut without telling us. None of us particularly care for hazelnut.
We had a lovely meal.
Very cool space and vibe. Perfect cozy brunch spot!
