Delicious pasta and relaxing ambiance. Perfect for date night!
Very authentic , good food .
The brunch experience, service attention to detail, and food quality was phenomenal. One of my favorite brunch spots in the district!!!! 5 stars, a DC Must!.
Had a wonderful time! The food and service was terrific!
Wonderful service an excellent food recommendations.
Thanks for making my wife’s birthday extra special!
Went with a friend but highly recommend for a date night!
The Lupo staff are always so nice and accommodating! Was a great birthday brunch.
Been here twice and the food is perfect. The service is outstanding.
The service Was deficient and the menu had limited options
Wow. Big fan. Everything was very well done, from the exquisite service to the delicious food. Can’t wait to return!
Wine was fine but our server was surprisingly rude. Kept asking us about food even though everyone around us was also getting only drinks, and had to get signoff from management when we declined food (at 530pm). Gave us the check before I even asked for it and kept checking on it so we would pay (while not bothering the tables of men drinking around us). Keep in mind this is just two girls grabbing a drink early on a Friday. Ambiance was nice but not enough to make up for the rushed and inconsiderate service.
I have been to Lupo Verde before - about 2 years a go. It was slightly disappointing this time around. We did not receive bread. The cacio pepe barely had any pepper on it. The food came extremely fast (not in a good way). It was still tasty, but I don't think I'll be returning.
More fans outside please
The food was very good, but the service was quite disappointing.
Best meal I've had in a long time. Staff was exceptional...from the host to the bartender to the server. Each member of our party tried something different and no one was disappointed. Nice ambiance and look forward to visiting again!
Everything was great! My second time dining there in a week.
Great brunch! A lot of wonderful Italian options and healthy items!
This is the sixth time I have gone to Lupo - It is the perfect brunch/date spot, with great ambiance and a nice menu.
Several times the menu descriptions to not match up with what you get, example: Granola Parfitt which I have order four times and each time there has not been the fruit/nuts/honey as listed... When I brought this to the severs attention it was ignored.
Patio Seating near the staff door: A lot of private work conversations with servers/runners that you do not want to hear about while eating, I don't want to hear about how hot the staff think someone is, how much they hate their job/colleague, and other "locker room talk"... If eating outside I suggest not sitting next to the back doorway.
Staff: It is very hit or miss, the mangers and many of the waitstaff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of.... While some staff make you feel that you are a bother (check in, staff rushing you to order with being there for less than five minutes) I will give everyone grace as this has been a rough year and they are doing their best.
Overall I would come here again and again and have suggested Lup dozens of times for out of town guests and clients.
Excellent food and fantastic service.
Overall service and food were amazing! Pasta and seafood were fresh!
Last minute date! Amazing food- everything from the bread to the wine was great - main star was the Cacio y Pepe! Glad I finally got to try this spot.
Service was lackluster. No one was doing drink orders.
We really enjoyed our dinner outside in the covered patio. The food and wine were excellent and our server was attentive and fixed our wobbly table quickly. Nothing but positive things to say about our dinning experience.
We ate outside, which was great on a damp evening because of the awning.
Disappointing experience with food taking more than an hour to arrive. They kept saying "two minutes." I know things are getting back up to speed, so just be honest.
Lupo Verde is consistently excellent. Great Italian restaurant on the very hip 14th street. Guests enjoyed the halibat and pasta entrees. Negroni drinks were good too!
Delicious food and pleasant staff and surroundings
Teddy, our waiter, was excellent!
Beautifully presented brunch served in Italian.
Bryan was great
Amazing lunch experience.
The Lupo Verde salad is fantastic! And the space is super cute.
I had a table outside and the only issue was hearing some conflict between people on the street right off the patio. Otherwise it was extremely lovely and the food and drinks were delicious.
Wow! Starting from the moment we walked in the door where we were greeted by a fantastic hostess, the great service continued throughout the meal. We were seated in a beautiful table in the upstairs dining room. The food somehow exceeded the quality of the service which didn’t seem possible. Can not wait to return.
Love the brunch and dinner, food is great and staff are very good and friendly.
The food was spectacular. Can not recommend that enough. There is a distinct difference between that and the service that was offered up.
First off if I show up 15 minutes or after a reservation often times that leads to a charge of some sort. So it is difficult to comprehend being seated 20 minutes after my reservation time. During this wait, I presume the manager, offered us a drink while we waited. Perhaps I wrongly assumed that the “drink while you wait” would be on the house due to having to wait 20 minutes after the reservation time to sit (this is not the reasoning for my poor service review).
The waiter was completely indifferent to either his job or our table, not sure which. First off the table next to us was sat after us and had their order taken first. We then had to ask for bread which was dropped at their table upon them sitting. At the end we asked for a dessert menu. After not getting one we asked again and the waiter blamed someone else for not dropping it at our table. We then asked for our wine to be Corked so we could take it home. Eventually he brought the bag to seal the bottle but told us to do it.
The cheese and meats platter it’s a must have; you create your own. Also serve amazing beef & pork ragú.
Really liked the waitstaff, the sommelier, the maitre'd, and the setting, but it just felt pretty average for the price you pay. DC doesn't have great Italian, but there are definitely places that do it better and for cheaper.
