    Style over substance: Great atmosphere, but ultimately not worth a return visit. It’s a very nice space, bright and lots of energy. However the food and service did not match up to the aesthetics. The green salad was fresh and well prepared, and the steak was fine, though not memorable. The pasta, however, was a letdown. In Particular the Cacio e Pepe was bland, lacking depth, and largely inedible. Definitely overpriced for the quality. Sadly the sides were equally underwhelming. The roasted beets were nearly raw, and the cauliflower tasted more boiled than roasted. It seems neither of them were roasted in their Josper oven. Service was inattentive and even borderline argumentative at times, which only added to the frustration.

    The food and service here are amazing. Seriously homemade fresh pasta, legit carbonara and the lamb chops with pea and mint risotto will make you do a happy dance with each bite. The best part is this doesn’t feel like a restaurant focused on bringing in tourist. No gimmicks, just simple fresh, and delicious Italian food. Really. We were in Banff for four nights and ate there two of them. Cannot more highly recommend.

    We absolutely loved lupo! The truffle fries were so unique but one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. Food was outstanding. The spicy ala vodka is HOT, but can be modified which is great. Both our meals were 10/10, including the gluten free one. The service was fantastic too. Highly recommend!!

    Lovely menu, food and service but a few of the chairs are a bit shabby (and not even intentionally). And sometimes they go in the wine cupboard behind your chair which is not very fun

    First time at Lupo, great food. Our kids are normally pretty picky, but they were getting stuck into different dishes. Our server was in training, she was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Great experience!
