Can never skip this when in NY!
It was a very nice experience
Went here as a family - everyone loved it. Great food great service.
Delicious food. Loved the Panna Cotta with goat cheese
Always excellent food and service.
The night of the Nor'easter didn't seem to discourage anyone from eating at Lupa. Seated where we requested, we began with cocktails/wine (generous portions) followed by a tasty amuse bouche. We shared an escarole salad, more than large enough for two people (though the kitchen should be willing to split it) and two pastas, a special wild rabbit with pappardelle and a bavette caciao/pepe, both delicious. Too satisfied to eat more: next time.
Very very very good
Birthday - the pasta tasting menu was a must!
Was excited to try my first Bastianich family restaurant, was not dissappointed! Everything was fantastic.
Been coming here for years. Always pleases. One disappointing pasta this evening but others great.
My favorite place for twenty years!
We had a Sunday family lunch/dinner. The staff was friendly and accommodated our multiple dish sharing :) I love the escarole salad which I have had before, and now make it at home. All the pastas were delicious, a few a little salt heavy. My husband liked the Sunday bracciole.
loved my experience at Lupa. the food was excellent, service was top notch and the overall experience exceeding my expectations. i would definitely recommend making a reservation. the bar is tiny and the place is busy.
My boyfriend and I were in NYC only for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. This was a recommendation from a Native New Yorker and it was excellent. We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us. The waitstaff were extremely attentive in answering any questions about he menu, refilling our glasses, bringing our courses and taking away plates. The food was truly authentic Italian and melted in our mouths. This restaurant was off the beaten path but was not far from our Times Square hotel. We liked it because we wanted something that was not touristy, someplace with great food and character and this was spot on! Highly recommend!
We ordered the pasta tasting menu - which, beware - was sooo much food!! Both my husband and I were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal but couldn't stop talking about the cacio e pepe and the carbonara. We visited Rome a few months ago and were having trouble finding an authentic version of these two dishes in NYC. Lupa hit the nail on the head.
Love the pasta here!!
Muy bna comida
La música q ponen es de horror!!!!
Nada q ver y no permite pláticas
Si volvería c gusto
I have wanted to dine here for quite awhile, this can sometimes lead to disappointment but NOT in this case! Lupa was more than I expected! We had the pasta tasting menu which is 5 courses of excellent pasta from carbonara to gnocchi with a ethereal tomato fennel sauce, each course was perfect. I couldn’t finish the last one as sad as this made me! The Italian wine list was very lovely, and sommelier chose for us perfectly.
The final course was a melt in your mouth blood orange sorbetto! This I finishes! It was spectacular!!
So glad we made this reservation!
Wonderful pasta and terrific wine list
Appetizers are also very special
Authentic Italian restaurant! GREAT food with very reasonable prices. Nice rustic ambiance :)
A must for Italian food lovers.
Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!
We made a last minute reservation on a Monday, and even though it was later in the evening and already very busy, everyone was so warm and accommodating. Our server and the sommelier were very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. BEST Carbonara we’ve ever had! Thank you for a wonderful time.
Lupa won me over the first time i visited in august of 2017 with their carbonara. Best I've ever had. The entire meal, restaurant, patrons, staff - all a great experience. I'll be returning.
Love this restaurant and the wine list is incredible thanks to Amelia!
Went to Lupa for a romantic dinner with a special lady on a weekend getaway in NYC. The ambiance was exhilarating and service was responsive, courteous and knowledgeable. The food and wine was wonderful. A very memorable evening.
Food was great and I would recommend the Pasta Tasting menu.
awful service, did not know who our waiter was, long waits, and attitude from hostess. Only thing good about this place is the food but because of lack of service would not ever nor recommend anyone from going to this place.
Not as good as previous visits.
Awesome. Frequent diner. Already booked again.
Honestly I’m from Rome and i don’t understand why they pretend to be roman..the waitresses the chef and the receptionists are nor romans and not even Italians and the owner is bastianich..zero roman blood.however the food is good..they have been wisely instructed...
The hostess was rude and dismissive, our server was very good, somolier spent more time chatting with staff at the service bar than paying attention to what was going on at guests tables. It was obvious that there was a new chef (1 month)!as the food was not on par with our previous experiences there. Very dissapointed but will still give Lupa another chance based on all of the excellent meals we’ve had there in the past.
Lupa is an old favorite of mine,
and food and selection was first
rate, no comparison in that department.
Service was a bit scattered the other day,
not bad, but we were not pampered as is
usually the case.
Good food- horrible service
Meal was fine, but nothing extraordinary. They provided a nice birthday dessert for our friend, but the entrees were just ok. Weird that everything was a la carte.
Excellent! We will be back! have already recommended to friends! Just one suggestion - serve prosecco in a champagne flute, not a wine glass!
Pastas and duck were very good.
Lamb chops were the best!
I've had some excellent meals at Lupa. This time I saw a main dish of branzino on the Restaurant Week menu; asked the waiter if they were cutting corners on the menu, and he assured me that they were not--nice food. So since I wanted the branzino, I ordered the menu. The first course, a duck salad, had a harsh vinegar dressing, and the dessert, a chocolate goo, was not great chocolate and rather undistinguished. The branzino was nice, but I would NOT recommend ordering from the Restaurant Week menu there. A dud.
Great food. Friendly employees. Enjoyable time with family.
AMAZING food, wonderful server (Idria?), good ambience. Only issue was we had an 8:30pm reservation, and a show to attend at 10pm around the corner. We weren't seated until close to 9:00pm. When I asked the hostess about our table around 8:50, she said "give them a few more minutes" and that was it. An apology for the wait or a drink on the house would have been a nice gesture. Aside from that, wonderful experience.
Great atmosphere and excellent food! Came from NC and made reservations in advance upon recommendation from former New Yorker. I definitely want to return to Lupa when traveling to NY!
