great time at lupa. wait staff was awesome! also espresso martinis were flying off the shelves like it was going out of style. 10 of 10 would recommend.
We were never told the specials. We heard other tables being told
Food was very good but the lamb chop portion was small for $40
Had an early reservations and was able to chose a great outside table away from the street noise. The on-menu calamari was terrific and the entrees of pasta and crispy cod were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and social without being intrusive. A wonderful evening out in this pandemic world.
Food and service were spectacular. Great neighborhood spot.
Lupa ALWAYS delivers!
Great Food Wine and Service
At a fair price!
Always a wonderful evening at Lupa.
Always willing to accommodate us.
They set up a very comfortable outside setting.
Really enjoy a touch of music on the street.
I was happy with the way the outdoor space was set up.
They were experimenting with the seating arrangements the night we went which ended up with us not being seated right away for our reservation. The staff could not have made our wait and subsequent dining experience more pleasant. They were upfront, honest, and genuine, and the drinks while we waited and prosciutto at the table didn’t hurt. Everything that touched our table that night was outstanding from the heirloom tomato salad to the cacio e Pepe and agnolotti. We will be back
One of my most favourites in New York City, from exquisite food to great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I always love lunch at Lupa but this time, my first visit after the Covid quarantine, was outstanding. Wonderful food and service. Absolute favorite weekday lunch in Manhattan.
The food and service was excellent as usual though the tables may not have been six feet apart outdoors during the pandemic.
The food has fallen a long way from where it once was.
The tomatoes were white and mealy, in the peak of tomato season - just go to the greenmarket, guys! They’re all incredible! No need to buy them from Stop n Shop; we’ll happily pay more for the real thing.
The pasta was gluey and dry, legitimately hard to choke down, even with a 20$ glass of white wine.
The service kept bringing food and courses blindly, overflowing the table when we weren’t done with previous dishes. Timing just wasn’t even considered.
This place used to be such a delight! I hope they rediscover the love of Roman cuisine and find a little more pride to take in the kitchen...
Food was fantastic - staff was
Enjoyed outdoor seating due to COVID. The only thing better than the food was the service!
Best amatriciana in town!!! Loving all about this osteria
They have a pretty tight outdoor space for pandemic seating with a lot of activity going on around it; however, the food and the service were excellent. I have a lot of Italian food in NYC and this was really one of the best meals I have had.
Lupa is always at the top of their game. They have quickly adapted to the new environment. Service, food and ambiance are great.
Despite the good food and service, the outdoor tables are definitely not 6 ft apart. Still a nice visit though.
Enjoyed our first outdoor dinner at Lupa. I felt very safe and comfortable, and we were even protected when it started to rain. The service was excellent and efficient. The prosecco and Aglianico by the glass were excellent. The food was very good, a delicious caprese and marinated baby artichokes. My wife had fried calamari with fennel and artichokes. It seemed that the vegetables had been fried separately, and they were great (I'm a veggie). The pasta pomodoro was good, although just a bit too al dente for me.
Amazing pastas - get the bucatini. Service was good as well but they rushed us a bit which dampened the mood
Food was characteristically bad. 2 or our 3 pasta dishes were poor. One had to be sent back.
Loved the outdoor dining at Luna. As always, food, service and ambiance perfect.
Had a great time. Food was delicious but would have loved a few more vegetarian options with fresh Pasta.
Very good menu with options for everyone. The gemelli with sausage and stinging nettle pesto was exceptional. A little disappointed as it didn’t seem like they made their own pasta
The pastas at Lupa are outstanding. They are very accommodating should you want to share amongst your party. My Aperol Spritz was one of the best I've had. We will definitely be back.
Did not feel safe with the density of their tables.
Lupa had been one of our favorite places to eat. The food seems to have changed substantially. First the wrong order was submitted and we had to wait a long time for the right order. Finally, when our main courses came they were too raw and so salty we had to send them back which we never want to do. They only cooked it longer and sent the same plate out which was too salty to eat. We also could not get the attention of our waitress so we could ask for water.
Bummer. We use to love it
Lupa is one of my favorite resteaurabrs. But the ldd
Amazing amazing food I love it and will come back for sure
Absolutely loved Sunday brunch here!!
Awesome. Great server, great pasta, great wine, romantic street seating - even with Covid, it was a blast. I highly recommend. Note that this is a very PASTA centric restaurant. The idea here is simple, purist, al dente pasta. If you want big dishes an Bucca di Beppo style, that's not what this is. It's a neighborhood gem and classy.
Bring a date, the parents, or maybe a longtime friend. Awesome spot.
Always so good. Even after 20 years!
Greatly exceeded my expectations. The food took just a tad long but well worth the wait! You can see the care that they put into the food and in each plate individually. I would highly recommend this place if you like wine and gnocchi. This place will not let you down.
For the first time in many many years, having visited at least 50 times, I had a very disappointing evening at Lupa while celebrating my son's birthday. Food, and service were both subpar and not in keeping with what I have come to expect from Lupa.
Terrific pasta, an excellent Italian wine list, and professional and warm service extending even to the bus people.
Really a delicious kitchen but be careful if you order pasta with chanterelles. They’ll serve you oyster mushrooms and neither apologize Nor offer a discount unless you insist. And then they’ll be churlish about it.
Food and wine were excellent. Service was not. We were there a good 45 minutes and no waiter. Asked several times and finally got someone. I ate there previously and service was good. But when you bring guest and have 5 bottles of wine you expect decent service
The menu choices for someone who wants healthier options is practically non existent. All of the menu items, are buried in sauce or fried. I ordered a crispy fish; I spoke to the waiter about this entree in detail, however it was not clear to me that it was it batter fried. Not only was it fried, there was more batter covering than there was fish; HUGELY disappointing - - especially for the money. I have eaten at Lupa several times and I have always enjoyed my meal. This time, I got the impression new chef/new menu - not impressed!! Finally, the music was too loud; had to talk over it. Ridiculous!
My daughter and I had a great dinner at Lupa. Everything we ate was delicious. We each started with an Aperol Spritz, and then the sommelier recommended a perfect flinty, mineral-y white. We shared everything - artichoke hearts, broccolini, amazing fluke crudo (don't miss that!), cacio e pepe, and a hearty special lamb pasta. We couldn't pass up the tartufo for dessert, and ate all of the cheesecake, even though we didn't mean to! Hospitality at Lupa is warm and welcoming, and the noise level is comfortable for conversation.
