Marinated Artichokes!
Nonna’s Meatballs with Pecorino Romano!
Bucatini all’ Amatriciana!
Been coming here for years... they always have great food. The new outdoor set up is very cute and cozy!
Food was good and wine list impressive, albeit a bit overpriced. Service seemed well meaning but woefully untrained and unempowered. The service level was not adequate for the price points and quality of food. Hope it improves.
The customer service, execution on cuisine and attention to detail were top notch. Don't miss out on the burrata with sunchoke and sunflower seeds or the hedgehog mushroom pasta special. The star of dessert was the tartufo. I'm already looking forward to my next visit which won't come soon enough!
Walked right by all those poseurs eating $50 pasta at Cipriani Downtown and had a lovely afternoon at Lupa.
Outstanding!!
Great service. Meatballs and octopus are outstanding
Always fantastic!
great as usual!
Great food , the pasta dishes were super fresh. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table because of a rain accident but the manager served us 4 glasses of Prosecco for free and was very nice and caring
Fantastic staff, service, and food!
Their pasta dishes are always amazing, had a wonderful feast of seven fishes this tiny. The tartuffes for desert is delicious!
A lovely and delicious way to spend Christmas Eve ... we almost forgot there is a pandemic
Christmas Eve dinner. The prix fixe and wine pairing were outstanding!
Pasta was undercooked
As always, another great meal at Lupa!
I don’t think i have ever had worse service in my life. We had an 830 pm reservation and were not sat until 930pm. We waited and waited... no one ever told us what was going on. We finally went up to the hostess stand to ask and were given no answers. Finally after another 30 minutes we asked again and asked if we could have a drink menu and when our table would be ready. We stood on the side walk for a good 15 minutes, drink in hand. (No drinks were comped by the way) After we got our table we ordered and were given some burratta as a “sorry” after we had just eaten the burratta appetizer that we paid for. After we received our dinner, our waiter quickly put our check under a plate and walked away. We weren’t even asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. I can not get over how rude this restaurant is. It is a shame because the food was very good. We will not be returning. New customers beware.
Amazing pasta!
Always one of my favorite places to eat in NYC. The food and service are fantastic. The bucatini Amatriciana is to die for. Could eat it every day and never get tired of it.
Sad, thinking of the place the way it used to be . Service was good but you can’t overcome lack of creativity and tasteless dishes. Used to be classic NY restaurant. No longer the case.
They were sold out of the gnocchi and I had an early reservation which was disappointing. The other pasta we tried, and a few other dishes were not very good, Doubt I’ll be back.
Thanksgiving turkey was a nice night and the waiter was Great as was the meal and it’s got great Italian food. Who knew the turkey would be good. it was really good!
We had TK dinner with you. It’s very obvious food is no longer having the same oversite as in the past...Salad was ordinary and desserts were sub par. I swore by the tartufo at Lupa and both ordered were stale ( as in not made a day earlier but actually came out of the freezer) Sad
Our go to fave for 15 years....the outdoor experience was excellent
Not your red sauce Italian. Very creative take on pasta dishes. The fish and meat entrees were fantastic; from lamb to duck (like Peking) and crispy light cod.
The special cocktails are worth a try and the wine list is diverse and reasonable.
Lupa in the time of COVID was disappointing, service was very slow and the food was average. Lupa has created a nice outdoor area and very spacious indoor, there is plenty of space between tables. Too bad the food is not up to standards I remembered.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt and mindful of COVID precautions. I would visit again in a heartbeat.
Loved it, If only I lived closer,
Another great meal at Lupa. Outdoor set up was comfortable and safe. I can never decide which is better - the service or the food. Doesn't really matter though, just can't wait to return.
Great experience all around. Sad about the curfew but the restaurant didn’t give us the feeling that we were getting kicked out. Always a good time at Lupa!
Phenomenal food
The outdoor seating is good any weather with substantial cover and heat lamps plus beautiful plants. Relatively empty and comfortable. Staff get a little close though and the contorni/salads were just OK compared to Pre-Covid but entrees and pastas are still AMAZING. Pasta prices increased but are still below normal for this level restaurant.
As always, our dinner at Lupa was great!
We went for our Anniversary and we had an amazing experience. Outdoor dining is beautiful and the cod was delicious. Will be back for sure!
Food was great. The lady who served us was terrible.
This was my second visit in the 2 weeks. It was just as delicious as the first! Authentic Italian style dishes with quality ingredients and presentation.
Disappointing food. Incredibly Slow service.
Wonderful food and Covid protection
Great service didn’t make up for mediocre food. Pasta dishes were excellent, everything else disappointed.
Lupa is one of my favorite 'GO TO' restaurants. I have been at least 20 times over the years. I had a friend in from out of town and did the pasta tasting with the wine pairing and was disappointed for the first time in many years.
Pasta was not fabulous as usual, portions seemed a bit smaller and the flavors were not as 'harmonious' as the past. wine pairing also didn't stand up. Whites were a bit light and reds were way off, extremely light and without the tannins and length of finish to stand up to the spice forward red pasta selections. Pours were small and not worth the $49 price point based on pour size and wines selected.
Who serves sorbet in late October for a dessert??? Apple? Poor finale.
I'll definitely go back, but order off the menu for both pastas and wine. I know what they are capable of and this was an off night.
