I’ve eaten at Lunetta on three occasions now & every time I have the food has been exceptional. Compliments to everyone for a beautiful restaurant with warm & cozy decor, excellent service, tasty cocktails & delicious food.
Perfect holiday setting and mood. Friendly and helpful service. Terrific wine list with some impossible to find choices.
The Spanish octopus was divine, tender and tasty! I would definitely return to have that dish again. Also love the fried chicken sandwich.
Lunetta is a great neighborhood restaurant. Went for dinner the night after Thanksgiving so pretty quiet - about half the restaurant full. Very attentive service, good cocktails. Waiter offered helpful recommendations and each of the dishes we had was excellent. Would definitely return.
A bit mixed, my main was good (brick chicken), the truffle pasta was a bit of a let down. Starters were all good. Service was average, our waiter was a bit off and borderline annoying. He started talking to another table when serving our wine, seemed pushy wanting us to order, but didn’t explain a very long wait between starters and mains. Nice dining room, good wine list. I would come again, but I think there’s a few wrinkles on the food and service that needed ironing out.
First time eating at Lunetta at Night. And it was the Thanksgiving meal. Everything was thoughtfully and well done while not rising to something one would talk about afterwards. A special note of thanks to all those who worked there on this day - they all had a smile on their faces. My preference would still be Lunetta All Day which I love...
We enjoyed a truly magical Thanksgiving Dinner at Lunetta. The atmosphere as charming as a Parisian bistro, the staff Welcoming and helpful, but the main event was the food. The flavors of every dish complementary and satisfying. just as special as I’d hoped. My favorite was not one dish but how all the flavors of each plate related and synergized. The wine specialist helped me to choose the perfect pairings for our courses, and was spot on (thanks Quame!) Thank you for your graciousness, Team Lunetta! You made our holiday very special. This could be our new Thanksgiving tradition!
Wonderful Thanksgiving Day meal! Exceeded our expectations! Raphael Lunetta worked the room, personalizing our dining experience with his warm, welcoming personality. Heidi, our server, was great — loved her upbeat nature. She was very attentive and took excellent care of us. The overall service was impressive, including the busboys.
All our dishes were excellent...crudo, pasta, branzino and steak. Delicious!
the service and management was awful!!! I called prior to arriving to inquire about the corkage fee; I was told it was $25 dollars. Once there, I was told it was $30, and that he would check w/ the manager. Not a big difference, but I felt they should honor what I was told on the phone. They did not.
The waiter was better suited to service in a pub, not a fine dining establishment. He was scattered, inconsistent, and obviously not experienced. The bus staff provided the best service of the evening; pleasant, attentive and responsive to requests.
The lamb special was not cooked as requested (closer to rare than medium). We didn't dare send it back, feeling we might be there all night given the service we experience to that point. We were not told it was a spicy dish (and we both like spicy), but it was exceptionally so. I requested bread to offset the spice, only to discover we were charged for it when the check arrived. Are you kidding me, Raphael!!! What a cheesy move!!! Cheap and cheesy with the corkage and the bread. Shame on you!
I have been here twice, and it has been a big disappointment after enjoying years as a regular at Jiraffe. Will not be returning, and will be sure to tell everyone I knw about this experience. I'm sure no one at the restaurant cares, as there are so many wanna-be foodies in this town, they will continue to go regardess. very sad day for me.
Love this place!
we live in the neighborhood and are ALWAYS blown away with the food and service.
Delicious food in a comfortable room. It can be noisy.
Excellent service, very tasty food (crab gnocchi, filet mignon, Caesar salad, shishoto peppers, pudding with caramel. Beautiful room with fireplace.
The food was excellent and the cocktails great. Our server, Cody, was helpful, efficient and friendly. We particularly liked the ‘for the table’ concept. We look forward to visiting Lunetta again.
We had a party of 12, celebrating my daughter's engagement. The service was superb and the food amazing.
Another fantastic meal with great service in a beautiful atmosphere. Becoming one of my favorite spots for dinner in that part of town.
I had a wonderful experience! Will definitely return because of the exceptional staff.
Terrific octopus! Featured wine a fine recommendation.
Raphael and his incredible staff make every experience in this SM/OG iconic food spot so special. The food, the presentation, the sophisticated yet casual and always personable ambiance...It can’t be beat!
As usual Lunetta was terrific! The only disappointment was we had made a reservation several days in advance and were offered only two inferior tables (in the serving aisle). But we sat at the bar to dine and the busy bartender gave us great service !
Love this place! Its my go to whenever on the Westside. Easy parking, unpretentious, great service and great food. Lunetta All Day for the best happy hour!
Very cool space including little bar. Food was excellent...service very attentive but a little slow.
THIS SPECIALOCCASION WAS A STEAK NIGHT. THE $68 NY steak(14 oz) was poorly trimmed, tough, and overloaded with pepper and salt despite my instructions for “no sauce.” My wife’s $40 sirloin (8 ox) was a good tasting piece of meat but overpriced. An overpriced experience for steak.
Regular menu was not offered in place of "special" event featuring steak. We had made reservations two days ahead to host important guests from out of town. None of us eat meat. We had not been informed of change in menu. We were disappointed with the limited choices and highly embarrassed by the situation with our guests. Never Again.
It was a special steak night. We arrived early and were given a table near a window. I had the 8 oz top sirloin and my wife had the filet mignon. Both were excellent. We ordered the Romanesco as a side dish and very much enjoyed that. We finished off the meal by splitting a chocolate brownie. The service was excellent, and we always enjoy meeting Chef Lunetta.
Excellent food, great ambience, professional service and friendly staff. Chef Rafael knows how to take fresh ingredients and elevate them to wonderful tasting dishes. Highly recommended is the Lup De Mar. best. Dish. Ever.
We love Lunetta... Day and Night! Great food and hospitality! Can get a bit loud, but what restaurant isn’t these days. If we lived closer, we’d come even more often.
The menu is somewhat limited, but there is something for everyone. There were four of us and we each ordered a different dish. We all loved the Caesar Salad; big enough for 2 and was really good. We ordered the following dishes and they were all quite good, served nicely, hot and well prepared as well as excellent tasting. We had the grilled Octopus, the Ravioli, Pasta Bolognese, and the Loup de Mer. All served were to our liking. The only weak point of the menu was the choice of wines, but we found a way to make do. Our Server was very nice and he tried very hard to please us. Go and try and I think you will enjoy the food and if you sit in the entry roomyou can even see a movie. It's fun and not pretentious. And depending what night you go, either after 8:30 or 9:, they serve a very nice and reasonably priced "Moon Bites" menu.
Wonderful local restaurant on Pico. Dining room is tucked away, elegant with a lovely bar area. Food was top notch and kudos for the “deep cellar” wine list of old and exclusive bottles at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Been there many times. Always love the food, the ambience & the owner who makes a point of mingling with his patrons. Highest recommendation.
Lovely restaurant! Great service and food. We will go back. Convenient free parking in the back! A plus in SM.
I like this place a lot, it never disappoints. Service Friday was slower than normal--I suspect that they were busier than they expected, or a server did not show up. Once we got the order in, the service was top drawer.
The loup de mer was excellent, the shishito peppers were well charred, the fries were disappointing (no crunch).
The noise level was acceptable for a Friday, we could hear each other.
The food was good-- could have had more flavor. The only real objection is that most or all of the dishes are share dishes, so difficult with two people if you don't want to eat the same things and also don't want portions that are sized for two or more.
Love this restaurant. They have really hit their stride. Signature fish in Balinese spices was amazing. I only have one complaint- the noise. It just needs to come down a hair and then this comes into my Top Five!
