Lundy's was a beloved and nostalgic Brooklyn institution, re-known for it's fresh seafood dishes going all the way back to the 1920's. This culinary staple, recalled by many a New Yorker, revives vintage recipes and raw delights such as oysters, lobster, the "shore dinner", bisque and Huckleberry pie, while enhancing "surf & turf" it with sizzling porterhouse steak for two. Between vintage cocktails in crystal - stemmed glasses, live music and tunes from the 40's, 50's & 60's, this throw-back is a definite nod to a former era that speaks of old-world New York elegance and classic hospitality.

The food was amazing, but the staff was even more so! We ordered oysters on the half shell, clam bisque, Atlantic char, crab cakes, cauliflower and onion rings. Of course we had the renowned biscuits and huckleberry pie! Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. Looking forward to my return visit.

Food good as is service. Very pricey. Small biscuits on table. No price for it on menu. Willingly they bring more without saying you will be charged for them. . Chintzy and cheap!

Another great meal. Highlights were the shrimp cocktail, Brussels sprouts, Rhode Island calamari, and the delicious porterhouse for 2!

The food and service were excellent. The room was so loud it was impossible to hear my dining companion. I have very good hearing but the ambient noise was too much for us. I will return but only at times when I think the room will have fewer people.

Had a great meal at Lundy’s. Definitely get that that old school Sheepshead Bay feeling when you walk in and the bar room has the old feel. The shore dinner was great however if your a person with a larger appetite I would suggest to order an additional appetizer or two as the portion is not huge. I ordered the half lobster probably would do the whole lobster next time. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely go back.

Happy Memories made at this lovely restaurant and we are still dreaming about our dinner and going back soon. A new favorite place to celebrate special occasions. We went for our wedding anniversary based on the recommendation of a friend, and as soon as we entered, we knew we had arrived at an extraordinary place. (Parking was pretty easy- we got a spot across the street on a beautiful summer Saturday evening.) Simultaneously elegant, charming and welcoming with a laid back vibe. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly, attentive, kind. Food and drinks arrived quickly though we did not feel rushed in any way. The cocktails were fun- I had the delightful Swedish fish- and I loved drinking out of the playful fish glass! Food was outstanding. The baked clams were incredible. For the entree, I enjoyed the crab cakes, the remoulade was scrumptious- I savored every bite. My husband ordered the surf and turf- everything cooked to perfection- we shared the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes as well- and so glad we did. We thought we were full until we saw the dessert menu. So decadent! Plan to return- this is a restaurant where you can bring children, (we noticed some families there) but equally wonderful for a date night or celebration. Bring someone you love here!
