The back patio is enclosed but gets beautiful light. We happened to dine while two very large groups were there, so probably a bit noisier than usual. Our dishes: a very fresh fish, mushroom ravioli with a rich creamy sauce, surprisingly deep flavor on a good ol' spaghetti with homemade meatballs. The skirt steak was just right med-rare, but surprised that it came out as slices of steak instead of a whole piece. Served by a nice but very novice waiter. We'd be happy to return.

The food was above average. Both the fish and pasta meals were exceptional. Our waiter was a little hard to understand and not friendly. Once he delivered our meal he never came back - even to ask if we wanted dessert. We had to flag someone down to get the check.

Food was fabulous! I had the butternut squash, outstanding! Others had the pasta seafood special, which they loved.

Great lunch with delicious food..this local spot was perfect for a birthday lunch for my friends. The lemon sorbet was amazing.

This was one of the most disappointing dinners My family has ever had. I never write reviews but feel compelled by how badly we were treated. The service was horrendous. We had a 730 reservation and the restaurant was busy but not overbooked. After placing our order (straight off the menu, no modifications) It was three appetizers (2 salads and a Caprese) and four main dishes (chicken parm, 2 branzino and one plain pasta with butter ... super basic items off the menu). The apps came ... but then nothing else. After about another 45 min of waiting and asking the wait staff several times the status of our main dishes (and a table of dirty dishes from apps that they never cleared), they would not give any updates (and we still had to ask for our table to be cleared). we asked the manager to come over. She was not at all helpful except to say casually "sorry that happened" but didn't try to solve the problem. The food took another 15 -20 min to arrive. No additional drinks were offered (let alone asked if we needed anything?!) The manager then proceeded to disappear and was no where to be found when it was time for our bill. They gave us $10 off, which was a joke. (The meal was several hundred dollars). The waiter then apologized and said it was supposed to be 10% off which it clearly wasn't. We asked for the manager and the waiter said sheepishly that he didn't know where she went. This is a Friday at 930pm now and the manager can't be found?! We have been going to this restaurant for years and it was a quaint neighborhood spot that was reasonably priced. Admittedly, we have not been in awhile and expected we would get the "old" experience. The food is overpriced for what it is and well the service is what I just described. So disappointed. DO NOT GO. Save your money and time. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that are happy to serve you and you can have a better experience.

I have been going to Luna Piena for years - my office was down the block, and it just gets better and better. My most recent meal with a friend included an excellent mushroom soup which we both loved, burratta with prosciutto, arugula and mango, and a seafood pasta with homemade linguine. The menu and food seem to get better with each visit.

We did not receive bad service but the table next to us waited an hour for their check and we noticed another table get up and leave after the waiter told them that they had not been waiting 20 minutes for their drinks.

Be careful what you order if you're a vegetarian. Even after discussing with our waiter there was still much confusion. And I would also suggest you check the "specials" prices before ordering.
