Been there four or five times for special occasion meals. Love the selection of goodies - caviar, oysters, pate etc and the duck breast and steak frites are always winners. One of the best crème brûlées ever was well.

We liked the chicken liver mousse, chicken breast, but the pork chop was a lil salty. Crème brûlée was amazing. The staffs there are very nice and considerate. Overall, it was great because we had a good time. Thank you!

Where to start? (1) we ordered the raclette. it came with no bread which we had to order separately and hardly any melted cheese (2) the wine we ordered came 15-20 minutes after we finished our appetizer (3) the duck breast was overcooked and it was the weirdest presentation - duck breast is great with crispy skin, some duck fat, and presented as a breast what I got was hardly recognizable as duck. sauce was non-descript (4) sea bass was average at best and lacked flavor (5) brocolini arrived 15 minutes after our main courses showed. The manager offered a free dessert. We ordered the creme brulee which was excellent, but that is the only good thing I can say about the evening.

It's a truly beautiful restaurant - that's the only good thing about it. Service was poor as our waiter was MIA most of the time and never checked in to see if our food was okay. It wasn't - we would've sent half of it back had he asked! Maybe that's why he didn't ask... The food took almost an hour to even make it to the table. The presentation looked nice. In fact, the chef must care more about the looks of the food than the taste... The wedge salad was tasteless as the blue cheese was missing (according to 2 people in our party). I had the pistachio and pear salad that was kinda good but it was practically swimming in very tangy dressing. Just way too much dressing, otherwise would've been pretty good. Our preteen ordered black squid pasta. He was starving by the time the food finally came and excited to eat. However, he claimed after the first bite that it's too spicy and he can't eat it. I tasted it, my husband tasted it - the kid was right, it was extremely spicy, the kind where the heat hits you a couple of seconds later. Not edible, especially not for a child. Neither the menu nor the waiter said anything about this being a spicy dish. 2 people in our group had the duck. Both said it was terrible and ate only a few bites. My husband had the fish - it was mediocre but edible. I had the mushroom gratin - it looked gorgeous (although appetizer size) but tasted like mush. No flavor, no texture. Reminded me of baby food. Only the friend who ordered the basic chicken dish finished her food (and shared it with our hungry child) - her feedback on it was "nothing special but not bad". Even the tiramisu was not good - tasted like a defrosted slice from a supermarket freezer section. For the prices they charge the quality of food is really not up to par. No wonder the restaurant was practically empty on the Saturday evening we were there (10/29). Valet is $15 (with validation) and we literally waited for half hour before they finally found our car. 👎

Great meal. Service was attentive, unobtrusive, and pleasant. Food was very good. Amazingly enough, i asked for the food with no salt and they accomplished that perfectly. We ate lunch outside on the patio, which was delightful, very quiet and pleasant. Had the Cornish game hen, which was much larger than i expected and was very good. the bread is great too, and the person who i was with had the BLAT sandwich, which he has had before, and he said it was very good. Its not cheap, but its not out of line with other nice restaurants in the area and it's worth it. Good place for buseness lunch So, i highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. The interior is absolutely charming and gives the feel of a cozy, French brasserie in the middle of Paris. The food was phenomenal - every dish was freshly made with attention to detail in presentation, full flavor profiles and a diverse selection. We started with the liver pate paired with a delightful citrus honey and freshly baked country bread (we asked for more it was so good). I had the Duck which had an amazing almost smoky taste and my mom had the short rib that was incredibly tender. We shared the caramelized carrots and the most delicious crisp fries. Topping the evening off, we ordered the Mille-Feuille that was both light and perfectly balanced in sweetness. My Berries and Bubbles cocktail was also very refreshing. The service was impeccable - the staff was incredibly attentive and very hospitable. Even the valet staff was very friendly, accommodating, professional, and efficient. We will certainly be returning!

My family took me to this amazing Lumiere restaurant within the Fairmont Century Plaza and it was the best and memorable place to celebrate my birthday with my family for sure. Ours was with a party of 8 and we were given the room that looks like an arboretum and it couldn’t be more perfect! As if we had our own private room! We were never rushed even though we had our time there longer than it seemed because of the good time we had in our celebration there.The service of the staff was amazing. They were definitely on top of things. The food was all great! The steak and the fish were all cooked to perfection and the sides were all delicious . My son organized for a pre arranged menu and they were all very good and all so on point with everything. I also like the fact that they had a personalized pre printed menu making me feel so very special! I also like the fact that they have allowed us to bring our favorite bottle of wines and my birthday cake. They’re definitely tops when it comes to service and consideration of our wishes and requests. They do validate parking when dining there. I also noticed that they do have happy hour so I was able to experience it one evening because we stayed at the Fairmont Hotel for the weekend. Their happy hour is super nice and I will definitely go back to this Lumiere restaurant again soon!

I took my BFF to lunch for her birthday. We both had fantastic meals. The service was impeccable; very professional, warm, and welcoming. The setting is gorgeous. The valet charge, with validation, is expensive! But overall, a perfect dining experience.

I was seated for 20 minutes and no waiter came by to ask me if I wanted anything even though 3 of them were chatting at the bar. Finally I walked over and asked them if I needed to order at the bar. They said that someone would be with me shortly. I finally was able to place my order. The food was okay but nothing special. Would not go back and don’t recommend it.

Chicken liver mousse and shrimp cocktail were excellent, as were the short ribs and the creme brulee. The scallops entree wasn't done as I requested, which is the only reason for the 4 food rating. Service was friendly and prompt. We like what they've done with the space.

How have I slept on this place for two years? Saw Lumiere in an Eater article after struggling to find a Monday reservation. Looked great so why not try it? Everything from the dining room, service, noise level and food at our dinner was top notch! For the quality, I’d say the menu (and corkage policy) is very reasonably priced. It’s all details in fine dining. From baguette and butter, to the crust on the chateaubriand, everything was spot on. Great French food!

Our waiter was Robert… he was very professional, very affable, polite, and almost stuff, like unobtrusive, and added to our dining experience. He answered our questions when I asked, gave great recommendations, and was overall a wonderful example of what a very good waiter is supposed to be the floor manager for the restaurant the evening we dined was named Toby and he was very nice and asked us how our experience was and we were very happy to inform him. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks in a large part to Robert and the amazing food. The French onion soup was probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere, and I’ve had it in France, but this was right up there, and actually to be honest tasted better than what I got in Europe. The escargot was fantastic! I especially loved it because I wasn’t left with any garlic aftertaste, which is what you usually get when you go to a substandard restaurant but the escargot at the Lumiere was in a word… Delightful ! 10 out of 10 I highly recommend, don’t pass up the chance to eat at the Lumiere .

Celebrated my sons birthday at this venue. The hotel ambience & decor were absolutely beautiful. The valet staff were excellent, a BIG shout out to Christian! The food and drinks were delicious and good quality. Very pleased with my experience and highly recommend Lumiere Brasserie!
