Lumbre is a tribute to the abundance of Baja Sur. In the kitchen the main component is the product of its land and seas; the most powerful tool is firewood; and global techniques are the perfect complement to enhance its flavor, providing balance and personality. We work with local fishermen, ranchers, and farmer friends to find the best existing products.
NEAT, our Lounge Bar upstairs has the most exciting and cosmopolitan vibe in town for a great night of drinks and chill.The atmosphere separates and transmits a different vibe to the dining area. Chillout and Live Music on Sundays, signature mixology and a special finger food menu to accompany the moment and a pleasant chat.

This place is fantastic! Totally created a dish for a vegetarian companion. The sushi appetizer and the shrimp tempura appetizers were awesome. We split the mixed grill-fish done to perfection ; not one second overcooked.

This is one of the best meals I have experienced and definitely worth the Michelin star! Bone marrow butter is something every human should experience at least once, and my steak was perfectly cooked and between the black garlic sauce, salsa, asparagus with lobster cream, it was a perfect riot of flavor and an incredible plate. My wife had the roast chicken which was incredible and the beet salad and ash tempura shrimp are not to be missed either. Fantastic service and ambiance. Top 10 all time for me.

Lumbre is in the top 2-3 restaurants in Los Cabos. Excellent food, impeccable service, welcoming environment. If we had one concern, some of the chairs and the bar stools surround the customer but have sharp edges on the arms. Hard on the elbows.

The service was first rate. The staff was on point. We choose the tasting menu. The fish course had no taste at all. The meat ( wagu) was hard to cut. Overall not a pleasant food experience.

We had the 7 course meal with beverage pairing. The food and drinks were amazing and our server Didier was outstanding! He explained all the dishes in great detail and helped to provide us with a memorable experience. When in San Jose del Cabo you must check out Lumbre!

Other than a communication problem with the drink order it was a great place to eat. As a non Spanish speaking American it was difficult to understand the explanation of the ingredients in the dishes- but everyone was super friendly and helpful.
