Luma on Park Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful meal as always! Had a couple small plates and desserts at the counter. Chef McGlamery was kind enough to take time to stop by and chat before he left for the evening and made our night. Its such a pleasure to see such a dedicated and focused team executing a wonderful dinner service and the pastry chef was so methodical and precise with her plating, such a joy to watch. Thank you for everything!
What a gem! We came from Tampa for the night last Friday, and it was worth the visit. We appreciated the quality of food, excellent service, and ambiance. The tables in the center of the dining room are much better than those on the outer edges. I would suggest requesting a table in the center. We didn't have to wait for our table, were greeted promptly by the hostess, they have a $20 corkage fee if you want to bring your own wine, and most of the food was incredible. Our waiter was extremely prompt and friendly throughout our meal. We had a mushroom pasta dish which was out of this world. The pasta literally melted in my mouth. The pork belly with shrimp was delicious too. We really enjoyed the flank steak and lamb. The scallops were slightly underdone, but the jalepeno butter sauce really played well with the dish. Oh and the cocktails were so smooth! We will come back. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
I reserved a table for our anniversary and requested a window table which was honored and appreciated. We had a wonderful server Jessi who was professional, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. From the butternut squash soup, vegetable tempura (a generous portion), my scallops and her salmon, it was very well prepared and presented. The crusted carrot cake was a nice ending Overall it was a most enjoyable evening. Thanks to the staff and Jessi!
Our favorite place to go on a date or with friends. Totally worth the hour drive. Love the food and drinks and the service is top notch. Everything is always clean and fresh. Atmosphere is romantic and fun, yet sophisticated. I love all the healthy options and the attention to detail. They always go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible.
This was our first time at Luma but after having been to their sister restaurant Prado multiple times I was hopeful. Especially since it wae were celebrating a birthday. However we were met with terrible service. The waiter did not come great us or give us any insight into the menu. Wait staff never refilled our water nor wine. We were not brought bread like the tables next to us. We were not brought a decanter for out wine. When we asked our waiter for suggestions between two items he would pick the more expensive item with no explanation. The lamb was terribly salty and the equivalent to cafeteria Salisbury steak
Food & service were very good. Outstanding wine list. Very noisy, with a lot of energy.
Staff was very accommodating with reservations, since we had booked two different tables and they were able to put us all together.
We would rate this restaurant as # 2 in Orlando, only because of noise level.
My wife and I went here on a date while visiting my mom. Very happy with the experience. An excellent wine list that was more affordable than expected. Interesting and unique menu - if you want steak and potatoes, probably not the place for you. Everything was delicious, though. Chicken was slightly overdone...
This was our first visit. We made reservations the day before, when we arrived we were immediately seated. Our waiter Cameron couldn't be more accommodating. He had complete knowledge of the menu and the wine list. My wife had the flank steak dish and I had the lamb dish. Both proved to be excellent choices. You can view the kitchen from the restaurant area. I was surprised by how busy it was and fairly quiet. The entire staff were efficient and worked as team. We definitely return to this restaurant.
Excellent food as usual. Luma on Park never disappoints. We live 1 1/2 hours away and go to Luma regularly. From the valet to reception to the wait staff to the food, Luma always lives up to its reputation. Courteous, kind, professional staff and outstanding food presented beautifully.
From the appetizers to the entre to the dessert. The food was extremely good. We had several appetizers and each one was delicious. My pasta with Bolognese sauce was as good as you'd find at an authentic Italian restaurant. We were at the restaurant for about 2 hours. The ambiance was great. It was a little too dark but quiet romantic for those out on a date. The service was exceptional. Our waitress took our beverage order right away and made sure we had everything we needed. She also recommended specialty cocktails so she was quiet knowledgeable in the menu.
I have always been a big fan of Luma’s. Our dinner in the dining room was perfect! The following night I returned and sat at the bar (solo) for dinner. I was accosted by two patrons that were loud and obnoxious. They ruined my night. Sadly the bartender did nothing to help the matter!
We very much enjoyed the dinner. The items on the prix fixe menu were an excellent choice and the salmon and chicken were very well prepared and beautifully presented. The appetizer choices included their wedge salad which is superb. The server, Cory, was helpful and attentive and personable. Luma on Park is one of our favorite restaurants and is always a stop when we visit Winter Park and the Bach Festival concerts-- this visit lived up to expections.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my experience at Luma. The food was good quality, but not exceptional. I walked away feeling like it was not worth the price of the meal. The restaurant confirmed that the dinner was for our anniversary and that there would be a gluten free diner in our party. However, none of that seemed to get to our server. Maybe we just visited on an off night, but I can't say I'll be recommending this place to others.
Our server was absolutely amazing, first and foremost. Don't get me wrong, the food was outstanding, but the service definitely stood out. Ambiance we a little dark, but the swooping faux ceiling with drapes coming out was a nice touch. Decent whiskey selection, served with a single rock.
Been at Luma several times over the years and remains one of the very best in Winter Park. The service was top-notch and the meal was good as always. However, the fois-gras dish is subpar (was served cold, not at room temperature and no toasted bread to accompany the dish; we had to request bread to be brought to the table), so may need a re-think. All the other dishes we had were very good. Certainly we'll keep coming back...
Luma was recommended to me by a friend as a great place to take my wife for her birthday.
He was right. We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday date meal. The flank steak and the salmon were terrific.
We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation time (my fault). We waited about 30 minutes and they seated us.
Our server, SarahAnn, was attentive and pleasant. She even brought us a complimentary champagne.
The noise level was a little too much for cozy conversation. We were seated close to the front door, which played a role there, plus the fact that we were outside of our reservation time.
The prices pleasantly surprised me, also. Really good value.
I recommend Luma on Park. We will return.
We are impressed for our second visit , our 1 year anniversary and we decided to go to Luma and it turned out to me amazing ! The service very good , thumb up ! We got the dessert and champagne the end of our meal and we didn't even expect that ! That is very nice and warm service ! I would recommend to everyone to dine at Luma ! Thank you
