Lulu's Waterfront Grille - Ponte Vedra
Lulu's Waterfront Grille has some tasty entrée options, too. Try the Shrimp Scampi, Lulu's Bouillabaisse, Chicken, Fish or Shrimp Tacos, the Palm Valley Burger and the Fresh Catch Sandwich. Lulu's Waterfront Grille also has a menu for the kids. It has items such as grilled cheese, fries, chicken tenders, Fried Shrimp and Pasta Marinara.
The only negative I have is the server forgot to bring us a spoon when ask and she said she would. The entertainment was great but when you sit outside, it's hard to talk over the volume of the speakers. And it was only one singer! I can't imagine a band being out there. Othe then that, the food was delicious and we all enjoyed ourselves! The putt putt and outside area was great for the small kids in our party.
Nice Valentine’s Day dinner on their coolish porch. Attentive service, good food (the clam chowder is delicious) and appropriate waterside ambience.
Best hush puppies in Jax.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines lunch at Lulus. My friend had suggested this place and said it is one of the best, laid back restaurants in Ponte Vedra. He was right!
Have eaten here a few times during visits to the area and have always been pleased. This time was poor to say the least. I ordered the Captain's Combo which was Mahi,Shrimp and Oysters for $35. I got 3 tiny mushy oysters, 3 mushy fried shrimp and a small very mushy piece of mahi. The food was horrible not to mention the price of $35.....My wife had the fish taco's which consisted of one hard shell taco, a little lettuce and a fried block of some type of fish...…..
Not sure what's happened here but we will never go back.
Forgot to mention we were both up all night with upset stomachs...……..
Nice restaurant, but was not expecting a sports bar. Crab cakes were wonderful, shrimp and grits a little too spicy. Our waiter Gabe, was very engaging and fun! Nice selection of bourbons at the bar.
I can't comment on the view because it was dark when we arrived. We were seated on the deck. It was cool but our waiter lighted a heater which made it comfortable. I ordered shrimp and grits. My husband ordered fried shrimp and fried oysters with fries and Cole slaw. His fries were so salty he had to ask for plain fries. The shrimp and oysters were ok. The Cole slaw was bland. My shrimp and grits were also very salty. I mentioned it to the waiter and he replied that it was a lot of grits and often folks couldn't finish. Not much of a response! Not a place we will return to.
Great location on the water. Food was very good but not as good as it was 2 years ago.....Great bar!
Lovely waterview and good service. My salmon was overcooked, grits were very salty, pork belly special was bland, succotash amd tacos were tasty. Will not go back. Prices were fair.
My friend and I sat outside and enjoyed ourselves until another patron arrived with their dog, off of the leash. I absolutely love animals - except when they are allowed to run around, unleashed, wagging their tail at my table level and spreading their dog hair on my food. The owner did not acknowledge that: 1) there is a leach law; 2) their dog was spreading hair. I was SORELY disappointed in the wait staff/management that merely greeted the dog by name instead of speaking to the patron about having their pooch off leash.
The food was great - until dog hair.
The food was good quality and the portions were perfect. No problems with the service
The LuLu’s burger was great, and my friend enjoyed her shrimp tacos. Our server was friendly and attentive.
Very nice experience, lovely outdoor dining.
Macaroni and cheese was dry. Shrimp Scampi was flavorless. Calamari was overcooked.
Great restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent, and the setting and layout are perfect for any occasion.
Was expecting good and recieved great. 2 of us went and enjoyed the food, service and fun place to see.
Screened porch dining experience was very comfortable. The food was great, but slightly pricey. Drinks were a little pricey too and there weren’t enough mixed drink specials. Overall, the experience was good.
The FriedGreen Tomatoes were outstanding!!!
Have eaten here many times and loved it....this time I was very disappointed in the food. The hush puppies (which used to be my favorite) were large, cold and drenched in grease. Shrimp scampi didn’t have much taste and the green bean were cold and undercooked. What’s going on?
Great little place on the water. My husband had the shrimp & grits and thought it was fantastic. I had a burger and it was also incredible. I can’t wait to go back.
We came in 4 adults and a 3 year old that slept the whole time and a 10 year old totaling 6 people. On the bottom of the menu it says gratuity added 6 or more. Well because they have been slow the waitress said she added on Gratuity. She didn’t have to but because they assured her money she did even though she didn’t consider my daughter a person because she didn’t bring her food a drink or a coloring book she slept the whole time. We asked her can you take that off because you really didn’t wait on 6 people more like 4 1/2 and she said no. We felt like she judged us as soon as we walked in and didn’t care how she treated us because she knew she would get her 20% regardless of her service. Manager gave us a gift card as we walked out.... what does that do for us? We are visiting?????
Try the fried green tomato app. Enough for two to share.
Very nice restaurant. Value good and food is good. Inter coastal back yard nice at sunset.
Lulu's never disappoints. I eat at this restaurant frequently and they are always spot on service and food quality.
Highly recommend seeing the amazing sunsets while sipping a cocktail on their patio.
It was Mother's Day and we waited nearly 1.5 hours for our food. When it came out, my order was completely wrong and my husband's wasn't even presented. A few minutes after sending mine back and asking where his was, the manager came out to tell us they had run out and the only option was for us to order something new, and start from scratch. We had been there with two kids for an hour and a half. There was no way we were staying to wait longer. So I left with no food for my Mother's Day Brunch. Not impressed AT ALL.
Best Fried Shrimp at the beach!
Great sun set dining on the ICW !
Everything about the evening was just average. Food was ok service was good. Someone had the fresh catch and it was bland and over cooked. Certainly not somewhere I would rush back to dine.
My wife took me here for my birthday, and on the reservation she informed me she indicated it was my birthday. There was no mention or acknowledgment of that. Our server seemed distracted or overwhelmed. Servers around us would visit there table 2-3 times before we saw ours.
The food was very average and had issues. We ordered the Palm Valley Burger Medium, it was well done, and served without any Garlic Mayo Aoli and no side at all, just the burger on the plate. I would think the runner or server would have caught that when the food was brought out. She was nice enough to take that off the check for the issues. I also had a caesar salad. It was about 1/3 of the size of my wife's wedge for the same price, and the croutons were old and rock hard. We also had the Mac and Cheese and there was definitely not any gouda on top.
I have at here before and been very pleased, but not for over a year, hopefully this was just a bad night, but a very disappointing birthday dinner.
Focus on waitress customer service. Be more attentive so more positive attitude
Very good food. Pretty noisy on the screened in patio. Cute outside space right next to putting green.
Took over 1 hour 20 minutes to get our first piece of food. Very uneven preparation of food for the tables (table that came into the restaurant 20 minutes after us was eating appetizers and entrees before we saw any food). Once the food came, some of it was Luke warm. Mentioned the problems to the manager but no reaction by him. They indicated the kitchen was backed up. I guess that’s our problem and we just have to suffer.
We will not recommend this restaurant.
Great early dinner on Saturday evening. Sat in screened in porch. A lot of seafood options and a few others. Good waterfront dining.., not beach front.
We enjoyed the view of the sunset from the screened patio. The food was really good - we tried several appetizers and liked them all, in addition to our entrees. The service was good but a little slow. It took a long time to get our bill after we were done eating and ready to leave.
I've been going to Lulu's since they opened. It was our favorite place to go eat. We knew the owners, the staff, and it felt comfortable. When Lulu's changed hands several years ago, we stopped going, and it would be several more years before we finally tried it out. The menu is basically the same, which works for us. The interior (including the screened in patio, has been spruced up, but still the same vibe. We do not go 1x or 2x a week, as in past years, but we go a couple of times a year (for nostalgia). I haven't been there since last summer (2018). I had guests coming to town, and I wanted to take them someplace local. I chose Lulu's, as I feel it is more local than some of the other "local" restaurants. Happily, LuLu's didn't disappoint.
It was a great place to take the kids. Our waitress, Taylor, was very attentive and great with the kids.
We love sitting at the table located outside by dock!
Wonderful experience! Very kid friendly and absolutely delicious cocktails and food!
