Good food, nice atmosphere. Been disappointed the menu has shrunk since the first time being there

FANTASTIC! We are looking forward to going again in a couple of weeks.
The menu options are fantastic, the meatballs with polenta appetizer and short rib were out of this world.

We'd heard how great this restaurant is and were so glad to see for ourselves. Really enjoy the interior. Felt like we were in Italy. Food and service we perfect.

My wife and I ate at Lulu's Round Top 2/6/21........we had for an appetizer a pasta dish that was outstanding....the grilled salad for my wife no so much. BUT.....the short ribs and lamb chops were top notch. Great flavor, tender, cooked well.
A red wine from Argentina was suggested and it was perfect.
Thanks to the servers that worked well together.

This place is a gem and we are so glad to have found it. We travel frequently between Cypress and the Hill Country and it is nice to find such a lovely dinner option. All of the food we ordered was terrific. The place is precious with a main dining room (which I thought was a little loud), a bar area, a cellar and a patio. We chose the patio and heaters were brought to our table. We will definitely be back!

We had dinner downstairs is the beer/wine cellar. Ambiance was cozy and not too loud. The filet was cooked perfectly, arugula salad was delicious, and giant meatball was indeed giant! We loved our experience at LuLu’s! We will definitely be back!

Arrived at 6:40 didn’t leave until 9:40– service was very slow. Experience was good. Would come back but hope to not have to stay for three hours. The basement is best, much less noise.

We had very high expectations especially after having a phenomenal lunch at Manditos. We had the calamari appetizer, carbonara and pomodoro. The food was just too plain in flavor and both pasta dishes were far too creamy. I felt like we were eating an American version of common Italian dishes which did not match the ambience, service and decor. Loved all three of those! Just wish the food was more authentic.

Visiting Round Top for Winter Show. Wait staff were amazing.

Their in Roundtop for Winter Festival. The pear salad, margarita pizza were delicious. Our waiter was very personable and engaging. Thank you for a lovely night.

So good. Friends visiting us from London and of course we got to Lulu’s. Never disappoints!!

NYE in Round Top. Third time having dinner at Lulu’s and tonite was a disappointment compared to our previous dinner. Lulu’s has great ambiance in charming Round Top. We will definitely chalk it up to a bad night and will give Lulu’s another try on a regular evening and hope for better food and service.

It was a wonderful dining experience. Armando was so gracious as well as the entire waitstaff and the food was excellent. Can't wait to go again!

Outstanding!! Never been before, but will be back very soon! Loved every bit of our experience at Lulu's. The ONLY thing that could even remotely be an issue was the noise level -- it got a little bit loud the longer we were there (came for a 6:30 PM reservation on a Friday night, and by 7:30-8:00 PM it got pretty loud in the main dining room). But, it didn't bother us (not enough to even knock one star off my rating). We look forward to returning often!

Excellent food. Very nice and cozy atmosphere

Food was good. It was extremely loud. The wait staff was short handed. There was a large party downstairs and not enough people taking care of tables up stairs. Had to wait a long time for our waters to be refilled. Waitress was spread too thin. Menu was not the full menu even though the antiques show has been finished for some time.

Evidently the new management for Armando’s empire have their own plan going forward. Losing their best people by filtering out the starting group from 3 years ago seems to be where they are going. We strongly disagree with this chopping as these people were the founding members and who built these businesses through hard work and establishing solid customer relationships.
We hate to see this happening by some out of state “director” who has no experience in our Texas country towns. I’d say good luck but I would rather see them fall flat on their faces for what they are doing to our team of extremely hard working people.

Unfortunately, the evening we visited they were short staffed so the service was slow to respond in every interaction. The food was okay although they were out of a lot of things by 830pm. Three persons out of our party of five were not able to get their first choice. Overall, we were disappointed but the following day we ate at another restaurant they own - Armando’s - & that experience was much better! Not sure we would give Lulu’s another try when we return to around Top.

Services was bad, you pay too much for bad service.

Always great good and service. We love bringing our guests from out of town here for a great dining experience.

Recommended by a friend. Very excited to go. Waited 39 minutes at bar for a drink. Waited almost an hour with a reservation for our table. Waited 15 minutes to be approached by waiter at our table. Food was mediocre. Told all this to manager upon leaving and he said it was so busy. They needed more staff. The building and space were nice.

The atmosphere is amazing, just like the food & service! Always wonderful @ Lulu’s!

Was definitely a hidden secret in the many times I have gone to Round Top--Love the place and the food!!

Lulu is one of our favorite places. It’s always great food ,lunch or dinner.

Only issue was the table were a little to close for comfort during coronavirus epidemic. But the wait staff were wearing their mask which was great. Plan to bring my parents during Thanksgiving week. I have been telling about how wonderful the lamb taste.

Limited but excellent menu. Lamb chops were a great hit!

Just loved everything here! The food, wine, dessert, ambiance, attentiveness.....felt like a 5-star restaurant set in a small country town. Wonderful! Can’t wait to go back.

We realize we were having dinner at a busy time. NO Bread, NO dessert and they never brought me my dinner that l asked to have boxed up. Waiter was much to busy with a table of 8 young ladies taking selfies with them. Would l go back....yes at a different time.

The maitre de was not friendly for starters. Then, we ordered drinks and were told we would get bread. Eventually, we did, but only AFTER the table that was seated well after us, got theirs. Our server never asked if we wanted more bread but brought more to the other table.

Once our food was served, our server never came back to ask if we needed anything. Our food was marginal. Two of us had chicken fettuccine which tasted like canned chicken, and portions were small. The one highlight was the pizza, but I was overcharged for it. Then we had to flag down our server to get our ticket.

We realize they were very busy, but we were one of the earlier tables seated, and felt like the level of service declined as the restaurant filled up. They KNOW it’s a busy time, therefore no excuses for poor service.

Hope others had a better experience, but we will not go back.
