Conceived with legendary chef and food activist Alice Waters and led by acclaimed chef, writer, and cookbook author David Tanis, Lulu is a shared celebration of good food that is good for the planet. Lulu is a restaurant committed to prioritizing sustainability through local, regenerative food and design. Our mission focuses on procuring food directly from small, nearby farms practicing regenerative organic agriculture, which results in wholesome, delicious food grown using methods that combat the climate crisis.

Our restaurant is named after a wise Provencal cook, Lulu Peyraud, whose cooking and hospitality at Domaine Tempier in Bandol, France has always inspired David and Alice.

Tom’s enduring legacy lives on in the worlds of food, film, and friendship. This evening celebrates that legacy through the lens of a film he deeply cherished. 📍 Dinner at LULU + Screening at the Hammer Museum 🎬 Film introduced by Alice Waters 🎟️ Free admission | No reservations | First come, first served 🕗 Box office opens 1 hour before screening To join us for the screening at the Billy Wilder Theater at 7:30 PM, we kindly recommend reserving your dinner table before 6:30 PM. Admission to the film is free, but seating is first come, first served. Theater tickets must be picked up at the box office, which opens at 6:30 PM. We always love coming here Would love the recipe for the squash corn with saffron soup. And where do you purchase the pork from so good Oh also the almond rosemary whit the date and Parmesan recipe too plz

Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Just one example. They came to our table with another tables food 4 times. And managed to send the food meant for us to another table and we had to wait (even longer than we’d already waited due to poor service) for another set of entrees to be made.

We enjoyed our dinner at Lulu. The food tasted fabulous, the ingredients were high quality, and the fusion of creative foods and cultures was interesting and respected the foods and cultures they brought together. The waitstaff may be new—they were friendly and accommodating, but not skilled professionals (not trained like Tam O’Shanter or Musso and Frank’s professionalism). They are NOT prepared for dietary allergies or restrictions, although they did allow some substitutions to try to accommodate. They are Absolutely Not Celiac safe. Food is not labeled for gluten-free or vegan.

It was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious and everyone was so friendly . All the products were so fresh and all the dishes were well seasoned. I want to go back again very soon .

We were there for a special event so it was very lively. The food was great with amazing produce and beautiful presentations. Been there for lunch and dinner in the past too. Always a pleasant experience.

The food is always exemplary- the soups in particular are outstanding- only disappointment was that they ran out of the pasta special before our order was taken but the suggested replacement was also very good

I thought the setting was lovely. But the server got the order wrong first of all and then the simple dish we ordered had way too many things in it and I didn’t think they really went together. It was expensive for very small portions. The dessert was not very interesting and again expensive and a tiny little bowl of fruit crumble. I have no desire to go back. Looking at the menu. There was just one thing I felt like ordering. As a vegetarian and a big Alice Wayer’s fan I was really looking forward to Lulu’s but I was quite disappointed.
