LuLu - Coconut Grove Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our first time at Lulu's. Loved sitting outside amongst all the activity in Coconut Grove. Menu was a bit limited but everything we tried was very good - group of 8 had 5 appetizers & 4 different meals. I personally had the Asian Salad with shrimp which I enjoyed. Couldn't stop stealing my husband's truffle fries - they were so good. Also enjoyed pitcher of Sangria on a summer-like evening in February. Got to love Miami!
Took one star off for service. Not that our server was bad at all. She was excellent. Just that they were so slammed as there was an Art Festival that day so kitchen was a bit slow and food came in spurts.
We'll be back. It definitely fit what we were looking for - fun casual restaurant with good food. Also appreciated that they took OpenTable reservations. That was a huge relief having a large party when there was lots of activity in the area.
I was visiting Coconut Grove from NYC. Food is always at the top of my list when traveling. LuLu was the choice for our final dinner in town. It was the perfect end to a wonderful few days in CG. It was the best meal in CG hands down!! In addition to great food, the service was incredibly friendly and warm. Will return and certainly suggest it.
The food is somewhat expensive for the amount given and the actual taste of it. The restaurant location is great and the decorations are great. It is very attractive and very nice, especially to eat outside but the food does not live up to the image of the restaurant. I do not think I'd go again but it was not a complete waste of my time.
Love the ambiance of the place, the decoration 👌 food is always great, love ordering a few of the small plates to have a little taste of “everything”. Had a pitcher of sangria, which was really good as well! Only thing that wasnt amazing was the burger, not taste wise, but rather that I ordered it medium well to well done, and had to send it back twice and it was still closer to medium rare than “well”...
We LOVE LuLu and eat there every time we r in Miami, which is often. This time, our repeat go to meals were a disaster. The steak was super over cooked and the jambalaya was so spiced and greasy, it was inedible. Of course, our server was fabulous and the company at the table, exceptional.
Meatball app, tuna tacos, and artichoke dip were superb.
A culinary delight! Menus items are creative and delicious.....nit to mention beautifully presented. I had the smoked salmon which was superb along with a very fresh garden salad. The service was flawless and the entire team friendly and professional. You must try the dates wrapped in bacon....delicious! A local favorite...and now I see why!
My daughter and I ate at Lulu while visiting University of Miami's Open House. We are both foodies and really wanted a good meal after a long day of travel and we were thrilled with our meal! Everything was perfect! One of the 2 or 3 best restaurants we've ever visited. It was so good that we returned the next day before leaving town!!
They have amazing brussel sprouts and the bacon wrapped dates are to die for. The turkey burger is good and so is the salmon, highly recommend if you are in the area to watch a movie, pretty quick service, nice ambience, good for people watching, cozy and cute.
We arrived on time and the table was not ready.
I reserved for my wife's birthday party and they did not know of the occassion.
Service was "terrible", I had to stand up on various occassions to the bar and get beverages for my guesta since our glasses were empty, warm and my guests were not pleased.
After all the headaches and bothers, there was no type of reaction on behalf of LuLu to please any of us. I paid $575.00 and no type of discount was offered.
I will never recommend LuLu to anyone.
I was in town for a layover and after seeing the menu I knew I had to try this place. The setting is funky and fun, there is outdoor, indoor, and bar seating. They have some signature cocktails, beers on tap, and a wine list. I would highly recommend the roasted dates, they were fantastic! I was super impressed that they had regulars, it's nice to get the feeling of the neighborhood like that.
