Very good service. Lots of food options, almost too many. Nice selection of wine. Sat on patio for dinner and enjoyed the mist which refreshed us periodically because it was a very warm evening.
This place is a must when visiting downtown Palm Springs!!
This was a good place but has gone downhill. We only go to lulu's because of the gluten free items. This last time my wife got gluten in her meal and got sick. My food was poor and low value. We will not be returning because there are so many great restaurants in Palm Springs.
This gem in old downtown Palm Springs offers terrific service and exceptional food. Grilled salmon was prepared so well I didn't use the sauce at all. Green beans to die for. My guest had Chinese chicken salad and she raved about it.
In a nutshell : service was great, food was basic, and location was convenient. With so many better options in Palm Springs, I probably wouldn’t go back.
The atmosphere is nice and the food tastes quite good. I scored the "value" category low because half my entree plate was empty.
We were very disappointed with the slowness of the service. The dinner took close to two hours because the waiter messed up two of the five orders. The two incorrect orders had to go back to the kitchen to be redone which didn't help.
Food service is quick, almost too quick as the main course arrived about 1 minute after our starter. Unfortunately the waitress dropped my Amex card and suggested we hadn’t presented it. Then spent a frantic 10 minutes looking for it, found it on the floor. No apologies etc which was pretty disappointing. Food was good but service needs attention. Ambience otherwise is really nice. A few other reviews have commented on service too. I would recommend Lulu’s for the food and general ambience.
I was meeting members of my family I’ve never met before.
As we are from England our relatives suggested Lulu’s as a good meeting place as it was close to our hotel and the food was good.
We were not disappointed. We all ordered the three courses from the excellent value for money Brunch menu and had the up to three glasses of champagne on offer for $5.99.
We booked an outside table and although the restaurant was full, the noise level was acceptable and the ambience was great.
The food on the Brunch menu was excellent with a big selection on offer and with three courses for $19.99 great value!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for the Brunch menu.
Overall a very enjoyable lunch experience.
Such a great brunch spot and $20 for 3 courses - what a deal!
If you're part of a group that's picky or has dietary restrictions, Lulu is a good option because it has a huge menu to choose from. The food is okay - not great - and our server had a bad attitude but the other people assisting him were good. This is a good option for groups because they accept reservations. The inside is pretty casual, but fun and pretty. I'd say it's like an upscale diner.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all and they had our 8 ppl table in a corner at the covered patio and since it was so hot I asked to be moved to the main dining area. They said there was another reservation for later on that table and that I should’ve requested it (which I thought I did and regardless, at least half of the main dining room first floor was empty!). I believe I was talking to the manager and after she said I hadn’t requested it, she decided to ignor me and my party. I asked her where should we go and refused to respond. Eventually, I had to ask someone else that was right next to her (whom in turn asked her too) to get seated.
Once at the table, the waiting service was excellent! Food just ok, but the waiting service was above and beyond. We had kids in our party and they brought them fruit salads and a huge cotton candy cup at the end. Made them very happy.
Doubt I’ll come back again since this is the 2nd time that I go and the food is just not good enough.
Walked out for the third and last time. Despite owners invitation back to make it right. This place is a complete and unadulterated fumble. Too many other places in Palm Springs that actually care and provide food and service without waiting 20 to 30 minutes for a drink while sitting at a table. Service staff was trying to McDonald’s at best.
Good breakfast/lunch spot. Great people watching if you sit on the patio or by windows. Menu is extensive, there is something for everyone and perhaps that is their greatest downfall. Fun bar area, lots of tourists but some locals there too. Waitstaff is really nice and helpful. It's a lunch go to spot for me. Food is not outstanding, but lots of variety.
Excellent service provided by Amy and everyone was happy with their menu selections. The trouble started when the COTTON CANDY arrived! Just kidding, it was a great end to a Birthday celebration.
The three-course meal was okaayy,
Appetizer -mushroom soup (don't get the caesar salad appetizer, not worth to choose) , Entree- steak were so good.
Dessert were too sweet.
Service was awesome!
Overall, it was all good
Service was good—atmosphere entertaining and fun..food deceit
This is has become one of our favorite PS restaurants. The food is consistently good and flavorful. We love the huge menu selections and the prix fixe menus. We love the ambience, decor, and the energy of this restaurant's space. The service has been consistently good. The staff is very friendly, helpful and provided good service. Will continue to return.
I would love to give a higher review because I really had high hopes for this place but 2 out of 4 of my party really disliked their meals and the restaurant was extremely short staffed on a Sunday of a holiday weekend.
Nice, cool indoor table for six. We were on the cusp of breakfast and brunch menu and were able to order from both.
Great table for Four. Service was good, and breakfast food was delicious.
Girls night and randomly picked Lulu’s. Had a great time !! So glad that we came and had a great night ! Enjoyed food and cocktails !!
Delicious! My curry chicken salad was exactly what I needed. We all had to try my friend’s cauliflower crust pizza because non of us believed that it was cauliflower crust. The server assured us and we were all amazed. We love LuLu’s.
The food is always amazing, our fav is the wild mushroom soup!! The servers are the absolute best!!! When in Palm Springs, LuLu’s Is
There was not enough staff to take orders. Several tables sat looking for service with no food or drinks. One persons meal was completely wrong, several meals were missing items or wrong and the waiter only came once to check in once and then never came back. Took 30 mins once we sat down to even be acknowledged. Some of the food wasn’t even cooked all the way. Maybe it was an off day but not good service at all.
Our waitress was wonderful and so attentive. We had a remarkable time and this is our fav spot in PS.
We are on holiday and a family of 6 with 4 boys from 14 to 8.
While we stayed in Palm Springs for the weekend a lady at one of the local shops suggested Lulu's when we asked for suggestions for dinner in the area. It was on a Friday night so we made a reservation. I'm glad that we made the reservation because the place was well populated so we were glad that to be seated quickly and at her recommendation.
The place has nice and lively energy. The lighting, decor (art pieces and photos throughout), and music are casual but stylish. If you ask me, it's a great place for larger parties and couples. They have booths and a large bar that gives makes it accommodating for drinks or happy hour.
They have price-fixed menus or a la carte. We decided to order calamari for our appetizer and it was so good. Before even ordering our entrées we both noticed the variety of plates coming out and orders from other customers. Everything looked but I was locked in once I saw a gentleman and his kids that had the Fish and Chips. It was funny because the guy had on a similar hat and shirt to what I was wearing, and of all entrées, he ordered what I would order. Carlos was our waiter and he was very attentive. My girl had the Ricotta and Parmesan Cheese Ravioli and I had the aforementioned Fish & Chips. We both enjoyed our choices and after being drained from the sun of Palm Springs we were satiated.
It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed every aspect of our time there. I feel comfortable dining there again if I'm in Palm Springs and I am glad that the young lady at the store suggested it to us.
Poor service. Cold entree. Took 5 minutes to be greeted by a server. Then, our server took our order and informed us he was going on break. We quickly received our appetizer and only two minutes later our entrées arrived to the table. Mind you, our cocktails were 3/4 full. Again, the Chicken Florentine’s spinach and cheese stuffing was cold. It took an extra five minutes after we asked for the check to finally receive it. Just to give you perspective, we hoped to have an excellent dining experience… The whole thing took 30 minutes. When did Lulu turn into Denny’s? Upon exiting the restaurant, in spite of the manager and four employees standing at the reception desk, not a single employee thanked us and welcomed us to return. Extremely disappointing. Lulu has really taken a turn downwards.
Friendly, fun, and delicious.
Always an enjoyable experience at LuLu!
We have been to Lulu's many times. Tonight's dinner was super. The mushroom soup is always my favorite. The creme brulee was the creamiest I have ever had. Though very tasty, the beet salad had too much arugula. We'll be back.
My usual 5 star rating for Lulu's went down to 4 because the service was so so. The waitress never returned to our table to check on our needs, so we were not offered more coffee or asked about anything. The restaurant was not very busy. The busboys were very good. This service was so unlike my previous wonderful experiences at this excellent restaurant.
Great service, great food, great value.
This was one of the worst and most expensive meals I have ever had. The food was AWFUL!
Nothing that we ordered was fresh or tasty. It felt like we were in an expensive, bad cafeteria.
For the cost of our meals, the food should have been much better! It was a truly terrible experience!
It was the perfect place for someone visiting. It’s a great Palm Springs experience
Fantastic and the food was great ... pretty sure to be back when I am at Palm Springs...
First time for Sunday brunch. Great selection and tasty bloody Mary.
In today's world there seems to be a lack of respect when dining out in public. Bridal Parties and girls all screaming at the top of their lungs. Remind to not eat there on the weekends after 6pm. Other than that it was great, thank you.
We have been going to Lulu's for years. I hope this experience was a one off. We had to wait a very long time for water to be brought to our table and even longer for a waitress to come over. We were sitting outside and it was hot. Our waitress apologized for the long wait and I think she might be had to pick up additional tables.... Seemed that something was off. My chicken was dry. The others in our party said their food was okay. The place was busy and I know sometimes things happen and goes wrong. So I would recommend LuLu's and will come back to give it another try.
