Best meal we had in New Orleans on our week long foodie trip! As good a meal we have had anywhere. Well done.
Absolutely amazing food!! Went back again it was so good
We visited late afternoon and the restaurant was busy with many people enjoying happy hour. The staff were very helpful and although we were a little early found a table for us. We very much enjoyed the oysters which are a specialty. We will visit again.
We made the Sunday Brunch and enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
Came back second night in a row because of the Happy hour $.75 oysters and half-price specialty drinks. Again, waitstaff was terrific . Interesting people watching is well. Will be back next year.
I have been to Luke quite often and it has always been good. This time I had their crawfish pie appetizer and it was fabulous!!
The food and service was amazing. Everything was perfect. Our new favorite restaurant in Nola!
Luke is my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. Service is impeccable. Two wait staff work together to serve your table. Best happy hour ever. Oysters are sweet and big. Fried oysters are the best I’ve had as well. Specialty drinks, especially the French 75, are special and unique. My sister and I came back the next day just because we loved it so much. Every time I’m in New Orleans I make a stop. Next time we will go for a full dinner!
Excellent food and service but pretty loud ...
Service was very poor (lousy). We had two different waiters...first one then a second (assistant) then back to the first. Was pretty much ignored. Disappointing experience.
Gets better every time
I little bit more of a spurge, but the food was pretty good. My server was excellent although I don’t recall his name. it was a very good experience and I’m glad I went.
Been to this restaurant three times now. The hostesses are not welcoming. This last visit was a weekday lunch and I was not acknowledged on arrival. I mentioned our reservation, the hostess looked it up without commenting and said something to her colleague who asked us to follow. Our table was immediately adjacent to the server stand and next to us was an area used for storing unused champagne buckets. Not particularly impressive place to enjoy a meal. But the food is outstanding. I would recommend the restaurant but customer service needs some work.
The service was amazing. We were celebrating her getting a movie role. The food and wine was great. They gave her a congratulatory drink and dessert. She cried her eyes out because she was so happy. Great service and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Probably the best meal out I had in New Orleans. Original, delicious food and a great atmosphere
Excellent food and staff, especially Rich! Funny, friendly and effective. They even moved our table halfway thru for greater comfort. Highly recommend!
We were in town on a Bday celebration. Waiter was great and engaging. The service was really good. The food was fantastic. The little doctor in residence complaining excessively about not being in charge and not getting everything her way was quite annoying but not the restaurant’s fault. Amazing how wronged and alone people can be when they only value themselves and their own thoughts and ideas. Anyway, was a really good restaurant.
Delicious oysters. Best happy hour in town!
Great cocktails as well :)
First night in NO
Came here for a business dinner as recommended by a friend. It was a very busy Sunday night, so I can understand the service being a little slow but we were chatting away so it was fine. Waiter and Waitress were great but they brought us the wrong appetizer (instead of a soup) but we did not bother returning it because we felt it would take too long. The appetizer broccoli sprouts was fantastic and the best tasting ever. The food was good and everyone seemed pleased. However, I will say that the temperature could have been hotter for my entree. Food should be served piping hot and it was not. We were stuffed and never had dessert so I cannot comment on the sweets. Slightly disappointed overall.
The food was amazing and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Wonderful meal, with very creative and delicious menu!
Richie Rich was a great waiter
Had reservation. Got there really early, but Terriann got us in anyway. Very appreciative of that.
The happy hour oysters were good but the burger and fries where over salted.
We had brunch here following a fun night in New Orleans. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the chicken and waffles. They were both delicious. Our server was Elliot and he was fantastic. We look forward to eating here on our next trip to NOLA.
Excellent food and great service! I would go back!
Great food and awesome wait staff
Had reservations but still got a table in a corner across from the open kitchen. But it didn’t matter once we got to the food. Perfectly prepared and delicious drum fish, and the best bread pudding in town. Server was as outstanding as the food.
The oysters were wonderful. The Brussels Sprouts were the best vegetable I have ever had. Not sure how they make them but they were fabulous. The service was horrible. Sad that such a wonderful meal that we will not be back due to the waiter. To many wonderful places to eat in New Orleans not to have excellent service.
Excellent service and food
Kristopher and Elliott were amazing servers! The happy hour is killer and I wish we had had time to stay for dinner because everything we saw looked fabulous!
Went to Luke's after running the Rock and Roll Half Marathon and it totally hit the spot. We started with a delicious bloody mary and then shared the best crispy brussel sprouts that I have ever had. They were a mix of hot (from jalapenos) and sweet (from honey). Absolutely delicious. Then I had the angus burger with carmelized onions and this goey Emmethler (?) cheese and a fabulous crispy brioche bun. I asked for a side salad (to be a little bit good) which was so delicious because of its horseradish dressing and the delicious yellow and red beets. The burger was so crumbly and salty and just fabulous. My daughter had the croque madame, which was supreme. The waiter was so attentive and the atmosphere just so lovely. I just totally love this place and go every time I go to NOLA
Always a hit
Waiter was super slow but food was great
Our server was good but pre-busting was slow. Food was average at best and my mimosa was way overpriced.
Great food! But the restaurant was so noisy we couldn’t speak to each other. Service was good, waiters were friendly and attentive. However, I had to give it 3 stars because my wine glass was dirty. I had to ask for another one. Price was great for the food quality. I’d go back.
This was our first time to Luke. We went there because it was close to the Orpheum theater. It caught our attention because it offered some unique menu choices. Everything we ordered was delicious! The house special cocktails were also great! We will definitely return to try some more of their delicious offerings!
Kept hitting shells in the ettouffe Waiter swept meal away hardly eaten and did not care. Husbands chicken was average.
