Very good food. A fun place for lunch. Very fresh.
Awesome service, great ambiance, good food. Crawfish bisque delicious!
One of our favorites in NOLA.
Duck & chicken liver pate-excellent. The accompanying pickled fennel, mustards, marmalade, etc all paired perfectly
Oysters-local and Alabama sourced both delicious.
Luke's always exceeds my expectations on food and service. This particular visit we were sat in the rear dining room next to the kitchen and it was a bit more noisy than I would have liked.
Great hamburger and crawfish bread. Enjoyed our dining experience.
My mother, my twins (age 10), and I went to Luke for Mother’s Day. It was a last minute decision and I’m glad I decided on this restaurant. I was worried they wouldn’t have great options for the kids but I was wrong. We went during happy hour so the raw oysters were .75 a piece and fried oysters were $7. The oysters were delicious! The kids enjoyed their oysters and cheeseburgers. The fried oysters were so delicious that I ordered a dozen for my main dish with some fries. The French 75 was awesome as well. I can’t wait to go back on a romantic date. The servers we had were awesome as well, very attentive!
Service is A+++. Just after we sat down, a server had an accident with a tray, and cocktail sauce splattered on my friend and myself. After assessing the “damage,” our server came to the table with club soda and white napkins to clean us up. She did a great job, but we were given contact information for Luke to pay for any dry-cleaning. And wait, there’s more! Our first round of drinks were free and so were the exquisite Brussel sprouts. Best I’ve ever eaten. We over-ordered but couldn’t resist some of the menu options-crayfish remoulade, drum meunière, wonderful beet salad, lemon marshmallow meringue pie for dessert. If I stay in NOLA longer than a weekend, I will become cargo!
Everything was delicious and service was excellent. Best time is happy hour time. Great deals
It was delicious! We loved everything we got and I had an awesome cocktail as well. Good service.
Ate at Luke’s for the second time. The meal was for three people and the service was excellent despite a busy night. The food was good and promptly served. The singers were delightful and added to the ambiance. Will definitely return for another meal.
Exceptional food and service. Very loud, but in a good way. We were still able to talk to each other. Lots of people having a lot of fun, eating really awesome food. You can’t go wrong eating here.
Best shrimp and grits ever! The servers were attentive. The atmosphere was more casual then I expected, but it was great.
Excellent experience! Was recommended and would highly recommend to anyone else.
Seated at 5:30 pm and enjoyed the great raw oysters as a starter. Had the Luke Salad - very good with delicious gold and red beets included. Entrees were Drum and pork schnitzel which were both very large portions — and good — but nothing special and not worth repeating. Bread pudding was very good.
Service was rushed and impersonal. Well below the caliber we experienced on our last visit. Maybe new GM and chef over the past year?
Was there for a business breakfast. The ambience was nice. But It took an hour to get our food, even though the place was not busy. Food was salty. My clients were not impressed.
Awesome food and service
The food was delicious and service was friendly and helpful
Food and service were excellent. It was pretty noise, but the Kentucky Derby was in TV. Would definitely recommend Luke's.
Loved it but so so so loud, and that never bothers but it was cra.
The rabbit and chicken liver pate with accoutrements was fabulous. And the oysters! And the wine. Loved sitting where we could see the kitchen magicians.
Our lunch order was out in five minutes. Unbelievable!
Just plain solid. Love the daily lunch.
Appetizers: Brussel sprouts were tasty; crab dip was pretty good; baked oysters were excellent.
Main Meals: Soff shell crab sandwich had a nasty sauce on it which ruined the dish; blackened drum fish was overcooked (x2); burger was very good; mussels were good; shrink & grits had too much going on and were way too rich.
Overall the restaurant underperformed in both food and service.
Great service from David but food was hit or miss ... oysters were great. Had a dozen boiled shrimp and they were much smaller than I remembered and three of them were inedible ... mushy and terrible texture. I didn’t complain as I was entertaining a client but they should not have been served . Oyster salad was fantastic . Mussels were not prepared as described on the menu and I did not care for the broth. It had coconut milk or curry in it and I prefer a more classic preparation which is how it was described on the menu... it was completely different. So a slight disappointment for what turned out to be a very expensive meal and slightly unsatisfying for me but thankfully not my guest. The wonderful service made up for the food missteps.
Amazing food! We ordered half the menu and found that each item that was brought out was better than the last. If you want a great dinner you need to add this to your list.
Love this restaurant and happy hour. We come every time we are m in New Orleans. Great service , oysters on the half shell and half price cocktails happy hour. You cannot beat it.Only problem is the tables are close together so no not really private.
Love this Place!
It was less high class than we expected. The ambiance was not as romantic as we would have liked but the food was amazing!!! The place was vibrant and loud!!! The staff were very friendly and made excellent suggestions to try!!!
Wait staff was EXCEPTIONAL - attentive, personable & gave great recommendations. Only downside is that drinks from bar were slow to arrive. Fresh oysters and shrimp and grits were some of the best I’ve ever had. Steer clear of the crawfish étouffée though. It was dry and really disappointing. Atmosphere is nice, clean, tastefully decorated.
The crawfish étoufée was more like a jambalaya, but the oyster salad and crawfish bread were well done & tasty.
Luke's has amazing food! The oysters and steak are wonderful. It is a fun and moderately loud restaurant.
My favorite spot. I keep coming back as often as possible.
I treated myself to a birthday lunch and the food was great. Matt was a great server and I had an enjoyable dining experience.
Food was perfect: fresh fish and shellfish beautifully seasoned and prepared. Great menu.
Service was perfect: friendly wait staff who knew about the foods and beverages and who paced serving courses to accommodate our pace.
Noise was a little much at times. We are old and background noise made hearing a bit challenging at times.
We had two meals here during our trip to NOLA and both were excellent. The oysters were outstanding and the gumbo was probably the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Best meal in NOLA for the group visiting for jazz fest -- outstanding service -- Thanks Kevin for taking good care of us!
We left horrible service there 10 minutes with no service at all served waited on table of 6 that walked in 20 min after us !!!
The food was great and service good. We were seated in the back section of the restaurant where it was very noisy. The front section seemed a bit less noisy and had some music playing.
We had prompt service, a delicious tray of local oysters, and the shrimp and grits. I highly recommend the pate. I’m not a pate person, but this was delicious. It is served with an onion fennel chutney that was incredible. Yum!
