Luke offers a range of private dining options. There is semi-private dining in view of the kitchen which seats up to 30. For receptions or sit down dinners there are four ballrooms that accommodate 190 guests seated or 250 guests reception-style. We can accommodate a variety of menu options.
View Private Dining DetailsLoud loud loud. Food was good but service was a bit slow even though it was later in the evening. It was very busy. I wouldn’t try to go without a reservation.
Arrived to chaotic scene with customers waiting to be seated and host talking on phone. Got seated finally in bar area. Very noisy and busy. - some customers turned away. Waiters were pleasant and food good - not for over 50 crowd.
Had a completely wonderful experience at Luke on a Wednesday afternoon, when I had no difficulty getting a table. Service was outstanding—attentive but not overbearing. The shrimp and grits were superb and the portion was very generous.
The grilled gulf puppy drum was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
Delicious. We actually ate at Restaurant Luke twice while in New Orleans. The food was excellent. If looking for quiet, ask for the back room. It was a little noisier up front, but not a problem.
Oyster salad was superb and raw oysters plump and sweet. Only reason I gave it four stars was service was good but not special. Seemed our waiter had too many tables and was always rushed. Sat next to the bar and Noise level was high. Ask for a table elsewhere and you will be fine.
The staff is GREAT!! We went there 3 times while we were in NOLA for 3 days. Breakfast is beyond awesome. Hamburgers are awesome. The coffee is amazing. GRITS are BEYOND!!!
Great food! Great place!
Great food with fast & friendly service.
I simply do not understand how this restaurant gets such high marks in such a fabulous food town. From the poorly shucked oysters (8 of two dozen were badly mangled), to the Tuna Tartare whose impossibly small portion was served inelegantly in a a dirty glass (I sent it back), to the fried oysters at least two of which included parts of the shell, to my salad that featured soggy lettuce that was crudely dressed (almost no dressing in some spots and horrendously drenched in others) to the wait staff -- who although exceptionally nice AND professional, were all wearing "white" jackets that looked like they had not been washed in weeks.
Was Luke bad? No. Was it good? Not even close. Should guests demand a LOT more for their money in a city that is literally awash with great places to eat -- absolutely.
Very nice restaurant and breakfast menu. Service was spotty. Fast on the food service, slow on coffee refills.
That was an excellent breakfast !
I've eaten at this restaurant several times when in town and have never been disappointed. The food was fantastic with a real attentive waitstaff. Cant wait to dine there again.
Love this restaurant! The food and is always wonderful. Love the pate and the Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Fabulous raw bar and our favorite waiter Gary always takes excellent care of us!!!
The wait staff was abrupt, poorly timed and surly. I attribute that to poor training and supervision. Food quality was very good.
Big flavors of large portions make Luke a go to Seafood stop for me while in NOLA.
I highly recommend it.

So nice. Lovely and very relaxing service and ambience. Food delectable and prices very reasonable. We sat by the kitchen so got to watch the action. A very nice evening
This restaurant offered great food and friendly service. My friends and I enjoyed our evening and the shrimp and grits were really good. We split the bread pudding and it was well worth eating desert.
We were seated right away. The food was delicious! The service was great. The noise level was a little high but we still enjoyed it.
Service was great. Beautiful day to sit at the bar. The catfish in chili was amazing - spicy but my favorite for sure. I did enjoy the oysters but I thought it was very strange that they did not have any small spoons for the sauces that came with the oysters. I was told to "dunk" the oyster.....kinda strange....
Fantastic as ever. I had the shrimp and grits, a Russian River Valley pinot and stuffed oysters. superb.
Luke was recommended to us by a lady in our hotel. It was so good we visited twice in our 8 day stay in New Orleans. The service was great and the food amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great as always. I've had Elliot as my server twice. He is so much fun. He adds that little something extra to your dining experience. Luke made me proud to bring my friends there to treat them to a great lunch.
The waiter was amazing. He accommodated us and was very patient with our non foodie friends who weren't expecting to be in such a nice restaurant.
Thanks for exceptional service that was above and beyond anything that we could have asked for or expected. Luke will be at the top of the list for our next trip to New Orleans.
The food and service were really good. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Our server was super animated and friendly!
To be honest, I expected a lot more from the this restaurant. I reserved it a month in advance and upon entering, the lady got my name and we still had to wait about a good 10 minutes after already checking in. Not to mention, there was no one else waiting to be seated after they say a party of TEN ahead of us and we were soaked from the rain.
After being asked by two other staff members if we had been helped yet, even though they were at the desk when we checked in, we eventually got seated.
To be fair, the waiter and the manager acknowledged the issue and took steps to resolve them which we appreciate. Also the food came out in no time at all even though I think that’s because of what happpened. The food itself was nothing to rave about in terms of taste. Presentation-wise it was good.
All in all, I expected more from the experience based off the positive reviews and the menu that I saw well in advance. Is it a bad restaurant? Not at all. Would I recommend? Definitely not. There are too many better places in New Orleans.
The service here is better than almost every restaurant in NOLA. The P&J Oysters are a must have! The Rabbit Pate never disappoints and neither does the wine list. Only comment I have is that the Shrimp and Grits were a little too salty, I assume this was just an error and I still will recommend this place to anyone for a nice casual dinner!
Amazing food and service. Recommend the brussel sprouts, and shrimp and grits.
We were in NOLA to celebrate my 80th birthday and I wanted to taste just about everything the local restaurants had to offer. I looked at Luke's menu online and saw Slow Cooked Mississippi Rabbit Ragout. I had to have it and it was great. However, the wildest thing happened. We got to talking to the couple that sat down at the table next to us. My wife mentioned my 80th and they congratulated me profusely. The the waitress handed me my check the man at the next table grabbed it out of my hand and insisted on paying it. I protested and he just said "your 80th birthday, that's special" Unbelievable! I'm not saying you would be as lucky but you will not be disappointed with Luke.
Great menu, delicious food & friendly, gracious service
Amazing staff and great prices! Seafood platter was amazing!
Was in NOLA for just 2 nights and of course wanted to check out some local eats, I checked trip advisor and Lukes popped, was within walking distance so we decided to have our dinner there... We were pleasantly greeted by staff and noticed a great energy in this place! It was bustling, so make sure you have reservations. The menu was filled with spectacular food choices. I chose and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the shrimp and grits, hubs had the Luke Burger, both were exceptional!! We had a great time, our server, Richie Rich, was a hoot! Really enjoyed the staff, food, and ambience. Check it out, you will not be disappointed! Prices are great as well. Enjoy
Luke turns out to be the highlight of our trip to New Orleans, and we went back the next day for a second visit. It is located in CBD, slightly outside of the French Quarter, but you can still easily walk here. Or there are many parking lots nearby that offer much cheaper parking compared to the riverside or French Quarter.
Make sure you go during happy hour (3-6pm) and get oysters at 75 cents and fried oysters and a variety of local beer at discount price. Kids were very happy with their kids meal which included mac n cheese, and chicken fingers w/fries. The fried oyster salad was great with bacon and avocados. The rabbit ragout was very delicious also.
Our server was awesome!!
Great rabbit and chicken liver confit.
Excellent as always!
Absolutely wonderful ! A great place to dine, no doubts.
Fried Chicken and Waffles- soft, non crispy chicken batter , appeared to be a processed chicken breast roll.
Shrimp and Grits- good sized shrimp/grits very bland. Everything very salty!
Easter brunch
Beautiful, classic, and classy are how I would describe Luke. Came here with the family for Easter brunch. Wonderful service. Interesting menu favoring local recipes and ingredients. Try the Grouper!
