Luke's had been recommended to us for our trip to New Orleans. The menu is not too large but plenty to choose from. The waiters were both knowledgeable and entertaining. The location in the French Quarter very convenient. Each of us enjoyed our food and drinks with no room left for dessert!

Amazing, amazing service. I wish I could remember our main waiter's name, he was incredibly entertaining and the perfect host. Our table was by the chef's kitchen (love) and more intimate and quiet than the front of the restaurant (thank you Luke and open table). We had champagne and raw oysters, flammkuchen, gumbo, coffee & chocolate torte and peppermint ice cream. Everything was exceptional, even (and especially) the coffee. Everyone made our visit memorable and wonderful. What a wonderful staff and perfect restaurant.

Nice all around. Casual, good food, very convenient. Definitely a step above typical hotel restaurant. Better dining available in New Orleans, certainly. But easy and good.

Good reviews did not live up to experience. Hot appetizers arrived moments after ordering, even before the drinks and cold oysters arrived. Pretty place but a no-go.

We got seated in the back room by the kitchen. It was cold and smelled like bleach. The food was good once we got used to the bleach smell. I had to wear my coat.

Having spent a week in New Orleans 21 years ago, my wife and I wanted to see what had changed since then --- especially after Katrina.

The first time i was here speaking at a "Presentation" for an hour, and "we" spent the rest of the week as tourists, walking our collective butts off seeing everything.

This time we were doing a "foodie tour" based on the "Best I ever Ate" series --- plus checking out some restaurants owned by our favorite chef's.

We finished our restaurant tour tonight, and after 6 well known/highly rated restaurants, the meals we had at Luke were the possibly the best meal we've ever had in our 67 / 70 years of life and 46 year marriage.

We purposely spent the week eating "New Orleans" cuisine, and the "Shrimp and Crab Etouffee" I had was Perfection Over Rice!

This was a "tasters" delight! The subtle hints of flavor in the creole dishes were awesome and totally satisfying.

We had been to Luke once before some years ago and while the food was good it din not leave a lasting impression. his time was different. We were blown away but the excellent cuisine. We will definitely return. In fact it became a good reason to book the Hilton St Charles which is a fine hotel but we had never stayed there before. I was just one of so many fine hotels in new orleans. Luke is the deciding factor. I highly recommend it and the hotel for a memorable New Orleans experience.

I was surprised. The waiters were great and attentive. I liked the sign and the tiles.

Beyond that, the bread seemed like it was from a Subway -- a soft, boring roll.

The Brussels sprouts were the best thing -- but still not great.

"Giant Shrimp" with grits was disappointing. The oxymoronic Giant Shrimp would at best be "Medium" in the real world. The cheese and grits felt like they were fighting each other, and the sauce was lame.

The bread pudding had the consistency of rubber -- no texture, just kind of tough.

My friend had the bisque and the fried oyster salad -- he was not impressed by either.

The grocery store muffaletta I had the next day was far more impressive. I wish it had been better.

Just okay. No dishes stood out to us. Ribeye steak was decent as was french onion soup. Shrimp, pasta, etc meh. Very friendly and personable wait staff made it all better. If this were in a midwest airport I’d give 4 stars. But for a downtown New Orleans place associated with John Besh it was very underwhelming.

Get the Brussel sprouts appetizer, so good! I ordered the Cochon de laitte(sp). I’ve had quite a few of different tasting pork, but this pork was seasoned so well. I recommend it!

My family of four didn’t have plans for Thanksgiving dinner having just arrived to New Orleans Thanksgiving late morning. We were glad we found a place for holiday dinner. Lüke is in downtown financial district. It’s not as fancy as we hoped it would be. The food was alright. Stuff is very friendly. They did brought entree right before appetizers but gumbo was hot enough so it was alright.

We were very excited to try Luke for our thanksgiving in NOLA, but the food was underwhelming. It was good but not great. I expected a higher level culinary experience based on what I’ve heard of Besh’ restaurants.

We have made Luke a thanksgiving tradition for the last few years...this year the menue did not disappoint. We dined on tur-ducken, pork rib, both with yummy stuffings and for dessert we had the most amazing version of s’mores with a butterscotch ice cream....so, so good! Luke Is a wonderful dining experience for local New Orleans flavor, atmosphere and cocktails, we love it!
