The food was way too salty. The table was so small that just two dishes could be very crowded. The service was OK. Overall I found this place not worth the price.

I have been here twice, the food is always great; I just think it's too loud , this time I sat in the rear, upper level area and it was a bit quieter . If you like it loud or spirited you will enjoy along with the wonderful food!

We had a wonderful server, Gary M., who made great recommendations for our meal. He was very nice and quite personable. He really made our visit special!

I requested champagne and a dessert on Open Table and it was promptly brought to my table without my asking for my birthday guest.

Perfect lunch spot in the CBD. Beware if you order the Red Beans special on Mondays... the portion is HUGE!

We were slightly discouraged once we saw the restaurant was in a hotel. Hotel restaurants are always bland experiences. We convinced each other to stay to at least order a couple of drinks and one appetizer. We are very glad we stayed. The brussel sprouts and duck were unbelievable so we surmised the restaurant was merely occupying space under the Hilton. The service staff were all smiles, energetic, and quick to joke with us. This is definitely worth a try.

Shrimp and grits: 3.5
I know this is there signature dish but I wasn't a fan of the pepper taste in the grits, and it didn't stand out to me

Brussel sprouts: 4 stars
I enjoyed the touch of sweetness from the honey but it had too much oil and I prefer mine crispier

Roast chicken and Matzo ball soup : 3 stars
The tomato was too prominent and made the soup acidic to me. Matzo ball was a tad flavorless and didn't have the right texture.

Stuffed p&j oysters: 5 stars
Generous portion of crab, the Oysters meshed well and the overall dish was delicious

Service: 5 stars
One of the only restaurants so far in NOLA who had no problem with the request for less salt and the staff were friendly. We decided to come back later for desserts and they were welcoming about it.

Simple an amazing jewel in NOLA if you have the opportunity then make the time you will not be disappointed. Old School charm and decor match the attentive & professional service of the staff.

The food is and I don't want to understate this Amazingly fresh and prepared by a chef that takes great pride in not only what is served but how it is served. The raw bar is diverse and while you would expect to be simple it is so much more. try the Citrus Cured Gulf Tuna Tartar and Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Ravigote simple but Oh my they are complex, delicious treats you will thank them for. Everything we had was a delight to eat and we will be back when ever we are in NOLA. last hint try the Stuffed P&J Oysters, you'll thank me.

THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING BUT THE SERVICE WAS WAY TOO FAST. WE HAD HARDLY BEGUN
OUR DRINKS BEFORE THE SMALL PLATE AND SALAD WERE SERVED. WE NEEDED MORE TIME TO RELAX WITH OUR DRINKS BEFORE STARTING TO EAT. THEN BEFORE WE HAD FINISHED THE SMALL PLATE AND SALAD (AND WE ARE NOT OVERLY SLOW EATERS), THE ENTREES CAME. EVEN IF WE HAD ACCEPTED THEM AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NO ROOM ON THE TABLE (A SMALL TABLE FOR TWO). WE HAD TO SEND THEM BACK UNTIL WE HAD FINISHED THE FIRST COURSES.
THINGS DID SLOW DOWN SOME BETWEEN THE ENTREES AND DESSERT. MY COMPANION HAD ORDERED COFFEE AND IT NEVER CAME -- WE HAD TO HAIL A WAITER TO GET IT -- THEY HAD FORGOTTEN IT.

Service was excellent but the food was just not very good. The chicken & waffles got the job done. The tartine was not appetizing. I don’t know who thought of it. The mushroom topping was super sour tasting and totally ruined it. The cheese that was spread on; lacked flavor. The tartine was topped with some type of lettuce that was not very edible in my opinion. I took ingredients off one by one but could not salvage the dish. I have been to Luke before and the food was awesome! I’m not sure what happened? The menu is totally different. Maybe they should ask Chef Besh to come back?

We arrived a bit early but they still managed to sit us. Most people come here for the happy hours oysters and drinks, but I came here for dinner. The shrimps and grits was on point and a must get.

I felt the reception was very disorganized. We were 12 minutes early for our reservations but waited till 5 minutes later with many open tables. Our waiters seemed more interested in other guests than us, very disappointing.

The P&O oysters were amazing. The burger was very good. The Drum fish was bland needed some type of flavor.

We were not impressed. Definitely not a four star restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised by Luke's. Went for Valentine's Day (always tricky) based on other Open Table reviews and the fact that we could actually get a reservation. Best surprise was the wine list - very well curated selections and priced reasonably. We had the Virginia Dare Pinot Noir (Geyserville, CA) and highly recommend. Loved the brussels sprouts and the recipe card. My husband loved their take on seafood etouffe (sp?) served on pasta instead of rice - nice touch. Had dessert and both the meyer lemon torte and chocolate concoction were good. Overall it was a solid dinner on a super busy restaurant night.

The service was not good at all, our servers never asked us how our food was. The food was not fresh at all, the fish was overcooked and rubbery. The portions were either way too big or way too small. We went for valentines dinner and the ambiance was awful and the lighting was too bright.

Great experience and good here. My wife and I came here because we had heard about their happy hour specials, and they are definitely worth it! Our waiter was also awesome. He was personable and fun to tall to; giving us recommendations for sites to visit around the city. Was a great time, and all of the staff was so nice to my 8 month old son. Definitely recommend stopping here and enjoying some oysters, shrimp and drinks!

Food was excellent and prices reasonable for the CBD. Service was adequate but not great. In fairness, they were jam packed, which makes the quality of the food even more impressive. We had soup, salad, gnocchi and chicken. Was very loud. Great spot for people watching.

This restaurant was recommended to us from our #1 foodie friend who lives in New Orleans. It was a great choice. Pate' of chicken and rabbit livers and tuna tartar as apps were excellent. The burger and steaks were delicious. The shrimp and jalapeño cheesy grits were world class!! This is a John Besh restaurant.

We always enjoy bringing out of town friends to Luke's. Our server was the perfect balance of attentive and close but not overbearing. We usually do a combo of Happy Hour/Dinner and that was what we did our last trip. As always it was a great experience. We all ended up having burgers and they were cooked as ordered. The only thing I would have changed is I would have sent the fries back. For some reason the kitchen seems incapable of sending out fresh fries the first time. I just didn't want to disrupt our evening.
