Luke is a Creole-inspired Brasserie located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District on world-famous St. Charles Avenue, steps from the French Quarter neighborhood. I enjoyed the east coast raw oysters as an appetizer.
Wonderful grilled fish topped with crab.
Good wine.
I’ll be eaten here before, love the menu - many different choices.

The shareable and small portion foods were excellent. The entrees were all too salty. There were 2 servers arguing next to us throughout the night which made it awkward.

Recommended by a native, it didn’t disappoint. The oyster appetizer with crab was outstanding. Also had the etouffee (great) and the gulf puppy drum (good). Brendan’s bread pudding was amazing.

I’m not sure what happened with Luke; if it was an off day, the cooks just didn’t care, or they have a different chef. I first came in 2015 while visiting New Orleans and I was so in love with the shrimp and grits. This visit; the shrimp and grits was lukewarm when given to me and tasted so mediocre. The mushroom flatbread we had had a long hair on it. It was just bad. The only reason I didn’t give them one star was because our waiters were sweethearts (thanks, Kevin!). The front of house or manager never even came to our table to apologize. I would not recommend; please just go somewhere else.

Everything was served in a timely fashion and was very tasty. We had the puppy drum, quail, and the redfish. Very yummy!

Extremely tight very little intimacy and grossly over priced! Staff didn’t acknowledge we were celebrating our anniversary until after we paid the check even though I had given them a heads up! Wasn’t impressed won’t be back during my next visit to Nola!

We decided to go after the Saints/Bucs game on Sunday. Despite it being crowded, we were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was exceptional, our table was bussed and the water glasses remained full the entire time. We shared the oyster appetizer (strongly recommend!) then each had what I believe is the best hamburger in town. Awesome experience - love this restaurant!

Always love this place. Made a mistake and ordered shrimp French toast and the menu isn’t super specific that this is deep fried serious carnage, not toast with bbq shrimp. My mistake but more description would help. They were really cool about it though. Husband ordered Very good crab BLT that he enjoyed.

We went for brunch before the saints game and it was outstanding so we went back after the saints game. Food was yummy. Staff was awesome and ambiance is perfect! One of my fav places to go!!

This is our 2nd time at Luke and as good or better than the first go 'round. It may have been the time on our first visit or possibly word is getting out but this evening the place was packed and I overheard the hostess quoting a 1 1/2 hour wait time for a walk-in. To me it has a very casual/cafe feel but still a level of class. The wait staff appeared to work in teams and our service was fantastic. Food was fresh and so many wonderful dishes from start to finish. Definitely don't leave the brussel sprouts off your list no matter what you think of them. Wonderful selection of oysters from various locales and the desserts are even super tasty. Haven't tried it yet but the Seafood Tower is on the bucket list. The atmosphere is "lively" and fairly loud but certainly recommend Luke to all. We had a few drinks, multiple courses including dessert and feel the value here is excellent for the quality of the meal and service. Love this place and thanks for a great evening.

Got a table for 7 on a Friday night very quickly but the service was disappointing. We had 2 waiters who were helping each other but the service was slow and both waiters seemed annoyed and were just rude. It was a birthday celebration and they did provide a nice dessert but overall, we weren't pleased with the service.

Try to not sit in the back of the room. It’s should be called “forgotten room”. It took a while to get the staff members because they forget that there are people to serve in the back room.

The food was outstanding! Dining during Happy hour proved to be quite worth the early reservation. Raw oysters were excellent and very well priced (during happy hour). Service was impeccable. Will definitely be back!!

I live in Arizona but travel to NOLA for business. I ate at Luke twice last week it is so good! It does get a little loud but the food makes up for it! I highly recommend Luke.

I keep having poor experiences trying new restaurants in NOLA, but LUKE always delights. Never pretentious, servers there to serve YOU, and just fresh seafood always. Oysters are wonderful. Try the shrimp and grits! The tuna tartare salad is a great choice as well. I keep going back...

We visited Luke on a Monday evening, most tables were occupied, with a few patrons seated at the bar. We had two servers which caused a tiny bit of confusion with our drinks (not a big deal) but offered excellent service overall. The food was delicious...we ordered the bisque, a flatbread to share, a shrimp appetizer and chicken entree. Wine list was very well put together. The only negative was the noise level toward the front of the restaurant (there was a couple of larger groups seated nearby. I would definitely recommend Luke...ask for a quieter table near the back.

I am picky about Shrimp and Grits. This by far was my favorite NOLA dish.Recommended by a foodie and former flight attendant.. me. This restaurant is amazing!

I have been going to Luke's for 4/5 past five years visiting New Orleans. After a bad service experience, 3 years ago we decided to give Luke's another try. To much regret, the service has worsen. Really disappointing especially with two servers attending to our table. After filling our water glasses and opening the wine that we brought, service went downhill. They rarely came back to check on us, the Cavatelli dish was served cold (not room temperature). Replacement entree took 15 minutes with Shrimp that was under cooked. Additional beverage orders were consistently forgotten and repeated requests had to be made. Not once was there any suggestion that the cold and delay replacement of the entree be comp. The attention and service only picked up when the bill was presented. We begrudgingly gave 20% gratuity, when we customarily give 25-40%.
Really sad considering restaurant had so much potential at first opening. In addition to removing John Besh, they cut out good service, quality food, and a memorable experience.

Ironically, we have had much better personalized service at high volume fast paced establishments like Acme oyster. Cochon, Nola, Rebirth, and Minh's both trump Luke's in terms tastes, quality, and service.

Queen corn and crab bisque , although an appetizer, was enough for a light eater along with a salad. I was a little dismayed to receive a menu with a squashed bug on it, quickly replaced, but this shouldn't have occurred in the first place. It was a busy night. Cocktails were delicious.

I would rate food higher if they didn't serve underripe tomatoes, esp since I got the softshell crab BLT. The crab was excellent, as was the bacon and lettuce but the pale green/reddish tomatoes...... The flat bread appetizer was excellent also.
