Service started out good but faded as the table seemed forgotten. Food was good but not especially memorable in a city filled with good restaurants.
Great Food and a wonderful waiter made for a great evening. It can get a bit loud but the overall atmosphere makes up for the noise.
The gumbo was not up to standard. It was super dark and the taste of flour was overpowering.
good food decent service noisy as always my daughter was surprised they changed the French fries.
Oysters and burger were tasteful. They accommodated my 6 year old who brought legos to play with and put us in a booth. We haven’t eaten there is awhile and wanted to try it again. We will go back.
The oyster happy hour is outstanding. Half priced beer, and $1 oysters on the half shell cannot be beat!
I visited this place because of the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Only bummer was I located hair in my food. When I notified the server, he took care of the problem on the spot. I had the southern breakfast and my boyfriend had shrimp & grits, the food was amazing. Definitely would visit again.
The steak and roasted chicken were fantastic. Our waiter, Adam, was great. The rest of the staff were very friendly.
The oxtail is ragout brings back to this restaurant. The front of the restaurant is crowded and busy, so I prefer to sit in the back by the kitchen. Even for a business lunch, that provides a much better experience.
Service was spotty. Food was pretty good but not exceptional by New Orleans standards. It was so loud it was difficult to carry on a conversation.
We had dinner for two last night and it was all right. Great vibe (but noisy) and a lovely space. We had just gotten our drinks when our food showed up (super fast), leading me to believe it was assembled vs. cooked. We both got shrimp dishes, which we small and had shrimp that was smaller than expected for $26. Our server rushed us throughout, taking one plate away while the other diner was still eating, immediately bringing the bill, and coming to pick it up before we had even touched it. Oddly, the table next to us had been incredibly delayed. The manager was out multiple times to apologize & check with them, but we only saw her back. Based on the ratings, we expected more than ok.
We had a lovely meal, the bbq oysters were really good. The seafood gumbo was very flavorful & loaded with seafood. It was not hot but warm, we chose not to say anything because it was very busy & we are all doing our best right now. The bread pudding is over the top good! I also really appreciated the hostess who accommodated my seating change.
Great experience with great food and service
Great table, love the food..
I went here for our anniversary dinner. Big mistake. The food was basic, it super loud, and people were using vamp pens in the dinning room. It was so loud I could barely hear my husband across from me. I had the trout and it was dry and over cooked. Did not enjoy myself at all.
It was my son’s birthday. Steak was amazing. Brussels sprout dish was unique. Wine was good. Service was ok
Food was great! Service not so great. Took forever for the waiter to come back to the table, waited for our meals, waited to drinks, waited for the check and the waiter never came by once to check if we needed anything.
Luke is my favorite spot for reliably delicious seafood. Love that they offer oysters from other regions, as well!
Honestly wasn’t impressed at all, my first time in New Orleans and can’t seem to find the great food, everyone talks about
Good was delicious! We had the oysters, swordfish and Brussels sprouts!! Service was excellent, food was taking a bit but didn’t mind, we understand patience is needed with some restaurants severely understaffed at this time. But they offered us a complimentary drink which was really nice! Great energy here and would highly recommend
Seafood Plateau was excellent.
The service was outstanding and the food came out very quickly. The food was delicious, but very salty. Go during happy hour (5pm-6pm) for the best value on drinks. They do have a kids menu, and I would consider this restaurant very kid friendly. It can get very loud, so I would not come here if you are looking for a quiet dinner.
Sketchy service, not bad just not very functional. Team service like this means that no one knows what is going on with your table. Had to ask three times for the oysters. The very kindly service manager seems to be holding it all together for the team. We went for brunch and room is so yuck in the daylight with the lights turned all the way up like you are in a Walmart. You really see how worn the finishes have become, we have been for dinner with the lights turned down and the room is much more pleasing. We ate through almost the entire brunch menu - a few things with mentioning : the cinnamon roll sounds interesting and delicious on the menu with tomato in it but really it is just a big cinnamon roll nothing special, we ordered the pate but it never came so we don't know, blue crab au gratin was ok but obviously made with low quality canned pasteurized crab so sad they didn't use local blue crab meat what a missed opportunity to save a few dollars as we would have gladly paid a few dollars more for quality, the cocktail shrimp were a miss as they again were obviously farmed and had zero shrimp flavor the cocktail sauce and remoulade served with it were also pretty flavorless, the BBQ oysters were fresh but the topping was DISGUSTING, the tuna tartar was fresh and delicious and well seasoned so good with the shrimp crackers they serve with it, the croque madame was stacked and loaded with good ham and perfectly cooked, the bright spot of the meal was the Sausage and Pimento cheese patty melt - it was so good and something unique. All told - Luke is a miss, it is fine for a hotel restaurant if it is pouring rain and you want to stay in, otherwise go to one of the amazing restaurants nearby and have a brilliant meal instead. Also, you might want to do some research about the chef John Besh, as the stories we heard from the server made us very uncomfortable supporting the restaurant of such a person.
Our server was amazing. She knew the menu very well and was every personable and entertaining
Great food and excellent service!!!
Amazing food, amazing staff!
Service was very good. I had the Shrimp and grits. Grits were amazing but I was not expecting shrimp creole on the top. I prefer a less tomato sauce or a barbecue shrimp but it was good. I like was on my bucket list. I did enjoy everything. P
Delicious food. Outstanding oysters. Quality wine.
Food was excellent! Loved the atmosphere
We were treated like royalty! Entire wait staff was outstanding from Richy Rich through the rest of the wait staff. Made us feel like we were the most valued customers in the restaurant! And that was just the beginning. Food was to die for! From oysters straight on through dessert and beverages! I am already dreaming of my next trip to New Orleans and eating at Luke!!! Oh my... will dream about it till I have the pleasure of dining there again!!🥰🥰🥰
Always incredible. Drinks are great, food is excellent!
Service was attentive and excellent overall. The grilled brussel sprouts with hint of jalapenos was excellent as were the PJ oysters on the half-shell. Salads were huge - we had to leave alot. Perhaps server should suggest guests share a salad.
The food was great and the drinks were great as well. Service just needed a little help. It was clear the bar forgot our second round of drinks and they both came when we were almost done with our meal. Secondly, it took a little while for the waiter to pick up our check. Even with these minor issues, we would still come back as the food was good and service overall was fine.
Had a great brunch at Luke's! Its such a quaint place and the food and service was amazing. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time I'm in NOLA.
Server was super nice. Food was good. They have a picture of crab legs on their website so we were some what expecting that to be on their menu but it wasn't. We got to sit at a table next to the kitchen window so it was neat seeing the chefs cook.
