I loved my visit, Food and service were great! Place was very loud though... noise reverberated through the place. It didn’t bother me too much, but it was definitely noticeable
It was delightful! The food was excellent and the service was impeccable!
The experience was outstanding and we felt very welcome! Food and service was great! This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Great, personable service. I had the shrimp and grits, well pleased. Others in my party had a variety of dishes, all were happy.
We make sure to a book reservation here for happy hour whenever we are in town! It’s a must! We love a huge platter of the raw oysters, the smoked trout dip and brussel sprouts.
Always reliable and delicious. This time the portion (mussels) was WAY too big!!! In a sense, a shame as a waste of food. But delicious nonetheless
What a wonderful experience - a great combination of service and quality food - all delivered with a sense of humor and coffee cups that never hit empty before being refilled.
This was an 8:15 a.m. reservation, and the staff even accommodated one of diners who wanted some raw oysters for breakfast since this was their last day in New Orleans. Even though oysters aren’t on their breakfast menu, they made it happen!
I would also recommend Luke’s Shrimp ‘n Grits to anyone. It is a staple on their menu for a reason
Luke has been something I’ve considered as a reliable standby, but they’ve stepped up their game on my last visit. Brussels sprouts were outstanding & the étouffée rivaled any I’ve had. Good oysters as well. They were still seating as of 9pm which was great because that’s usually when I like to eat in New Orleans. I didn’t feel rushed through the meal too, which is important to me. Very happy I chose it that night.
Fantastic shrimp and grits
I saw lemon sorbet ice cream in Menu and ordered it. Menu said $4. When I got bill, they changed me for 2 scoops and doubled the price. I didn’t notice this until I had left or else I would have said something. I was not happy
From the moment we entered, the hostess was amazing and sat us right away and greeted me by name (had a reservation); then Jesse ensure the experience continued by anticipating our every need and took his time explaining and recommending drinks to pair our meals.
The Gumbo was really tasty and comforting, the Brussel sprouts were delicious, and the BLTE & fried oysters (damn good). It’s the details the matter. Our whole experience was beyond our expectations, the attentiveness of the floor manager and busser.
There was a blogger or wanna be food critic on an adjacent table (or silent dinner/shopper), he was deplorable and we observed how he was berating the hostess at ear shot of patrons. Not a good call... we recorded the incident (Sunday; February 21st at 140 pm; 2021).
Our hostess and server were very attentive and deserved much appreciation from LUKE, until next time.
Our server, Christian, was so nice and knowledgeable! Not a huge selection on the menu, so the trout almondine was recommended. She recommended the blackened, but since we're not a huge fan of that, we went with a pan fried. Should have been blackened. It had absolutely no flavor as it was served with roasted cauliflower. The crab dip was not very flavorful either. Just meh. The p&j oysters were so good though. Personal service by Christian and good oysters were the two highlights of the evening. I hope they step up their game on the taste and a preparation of the food.
Prompt and professional service. Food not only looked great but the flavors were on point. Also I'll say that I can I appreciate clean whole oysters. Great job!
We come here almost every time we visit New Orleans, which is often.
Absolutely loved
Great Food !
Their Happy Hour is great! Half priced raw oysters and specialty cocktails. The roasted Brussels sprouts are spicy and delicious.
That pate!!! Everything was delicious, albeit slightly overpriced. Great service and good vibes. Would return.
One of my top spots to go. They were so accommodating with my addition guests and made us feel welcomed. It was a great experience.
Perfect place for a Mardi Gras celebration covid style
The raw oysters were excellent and the brussell sprouts never disappoint. The shrimp and grits are the best in NOLA.
The nest!!
The brussels sprouts, blue crab dip, and crispy potatoes were great. I thought 11 dollars was a little pricey for a flute of mimosa. If I had known the price of the mimosa I would have ordered a specialty drink they offered for around the same price. The food never really disappoints here. The only thing I would not recommend ordering is the fish dip. Brunch is also amazing! And they have the BEST French 75's in town!
Was expecting a whole lot more out of this restaurant was not very impressed. Wait staff was just OK and food was not that impressive for the price. This place tries to be somewhere between fancy and casual and it just doesn’t work. Will probably not be back.
Lukes was actually a saviour of a place on Valentine's Day for dinner. The place I thought I had originally booked I made a mistake so we booked Luke's as a last minute what a great mistake to make!
From the moment we got there we love the place. The turnstile door was a perfect portal into an amazing restaurant.
Being that we had to book our Valentine's dinner last minute we were eating at 5:30 which worked out in our favour as it was still happy hour.
Our server Gary gave us great recommendations on drinks and informed us that the P&J oysters were part of happy hour at a dollar each. These were some of the freshest oysters we've ever had and you could taste the ocean in every bite.
Next we had the tuna tartare are. Great flavour amazing combination of tuna avocado cucumber and jalapenos. Just enough heat to add to the overall dish.
My sexy hot wife ordered the oxtail which came over a bed of homemade egg noodles, wild mushrooms and with crispy kale mixed in for texture. Season perfectly with amazing flavour.
I had the courtbullion which was a tremendous mixture of oysters, crab claws, shrimp and redfish over rice in a very flavorful sauce.
This was a perfect mistake to make him reservations for Valentine's Day as we had an amazing meal and would definitely go back next time we visit New Orleans.
Amazing food and service!
Great food. Oysters were fantastic
Everything was great!
OMG everything is so good!! I ordered the oxtail ragout, smoked fish dip, crab au gratin, and fried oysters. The service was excellent. I highly recommend eating here. Trust me, I’m a local! @neworleansqutietravels
2nd time visiting Luke and I was as equally impressed as the first.
Both food and service were good. I had the shrimp and grits and could not finish the dish.
Great food and service.
Biscuits with cured ham and pimento cheese amazing (and huge), as were other dishes.
Loved the chicken biscuit and terrific service. Crab omelet was tasty but a tad heavy.
Luke was wonderful!! Second time for a great New Orleans food experience!!
On this New Orleans trip, we had 6 meals out on the town. Our meal at Lukes was mediocre at best and our least favorite. The food was simple and OK at best; the atmosphere was more like a Jersey diner than a fine dining establishment.
With so many excellent choices in Lukes, look elsewhere.
We had a larger group, nine of us. They put us in a private room and truly catered to us! It was a great happy hour and we had the greatest service!
Valentines lunch with my son❤️
Happy hour was great, 1/2 wine and appetizers, pizzas enough for 2
The food here was spectacular. Delicious selection. The service was amazing!! Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful ambience. I could not get enough of how cute the place was. Finished off dinner with a nice cappuccino. Wouldn’t have it any other way!!
