The food was great. The only issue was too many interesting choices. We will definitely return to try them. We had the house made garlic bread, carpaccio and Parma pizza. All were excellent.

Absolutely the best meal we had in our week long visit to San Francisco. Loved everything. Great wine options, fun atmosphere, excellent service. There were 4 of us and we all agree this was our favorite restaurant. Gluten free pasta is delicious too!!

A must to try is the 5 star meatballs - they really are delicious. Every dish we had was really good. Their house merlot was a perfect match with dinner. Definitely a restaurant we want to get back to again!

Honestly could be better - food was good be under no illusions this is not high end dining and nor is the price. For our visit we had starters and mains sadly served up on stone cold plates - the food was good , pizza was excellent but spoiled in my opinion by the cold plates - shame really would have made all the difference - I did tell the staff about this but not sure my English was Hispanic enough to be understood. 10 out of 10 for Luisa still standing in the entrance welcoming her customers

Our family of four adults had dinner last night. It’s a small restaurant with excellent service and a quaint vibe. The food is solid, old-fashioned Italian food. We had carbonara, cannelloni, and parmigiana. It was delicious. It’s a great place when you want Italian food.

I was looking forward to some tasty Italian food because of the reviews. Arrived as one person and was seated in a chair even though i requested a booth at a 2 top. I ordered the house red wine and i personally thought it was rather acidic. I ordered the house specialty, a chicken parm with a champagne sauce. I ordered the ceaser salad. No anchovies available. While everything looked good, unfortunately it has very little flavor. The chicken was tasty although. The owner came by and visited for a moment. However, she sat at an empty table and took her mask off and sneezed and coughed badly. Hopefully, she didn’t have Covid and just spread it. I had to try the tiramisu. It was perfect. Total for one person was $90 including tip.

We had a great time at Luisa’s! The meatballs were delicious and authentic and the spinach salad w/honey vinaigrette was the best I’ve had. The lasagna and penne puttanesca were perfect. What made the evening memorable was that Luisa was in the restaurant having delightful conversations w/the diners. It was like being in Luisa’s home sharing a Sunday dinner. It makes me smile just thinking about it. Thank you, Luisa for making us feel like family!

Overall fine However we were still eating our starters when our mains arrived so we did feel we were being rushed. Plus mains were warm rather than hot. The owner was in the restaurant going round talking to customers which was a nice touch.
