I've lived in SF for 30+ years and have lived near this restaurant but never made my way to eat here. What a neighbourhood GEM....!!! The service was efficient but not rushed. The food was really tasty, flavorful, and fresh. We ordered the meatballs as a starter. The meatballs were tender and the sauce was really excellent. We also ordered the gnocchi and pappardelle. The gnocchi were light and "fluffy" and the pappardelle was definitely fresh. We can't wait to return to try the other dishes. I can't wait to return to try the

A classic Italian spot with food you know was made in house and from the heart, especially with Luisa’s grand presence in the room. I’m still thinking of that especially fresh pesto and perfectly textured gnocchi!

We had a horrible experience at Luisa’s. The owner, Luisa, was there and she made a racist comment to one of our guests, and then decided it was ok to reach out and touch him. Really upsetting, and per other reviews on yelp, it’s not the first time this has happened. I had to get all the food to go because my party was so upset. Food was mediocre. Not ok to touch diners!!

Luisa's on Guerrero is a quaint little neighborhood italian restaurant like you'd find in, well, Italy. We loved it. Simple, straight forward menu. Lots of homemade pastas and great pizzas. The best part for us was, Luisa was actually there. She was sitting in the booth next to us. I was with my wife and 21 and 17 yo boys. She came over and just started chatting us up. She's like 94 years old and still going strong! What a treat to meet her. Side note, she told us she came to America and got married to her Navy man when she was 14 and they had to lie about her age. She had a family and her granddaughter is getting ready to take over the restaurants. Oh, and all of our food was delicious.

We absolutely loved this neighborhood treasure. The pizza, gnocchi, cesar salad and tiramisu were all perfection and we can't wait to go back

Sweet simple Italian supervised still by the nonagenarian Luisa. Happy that she reopened this restaurant, her labor of love.

Tasty, traditional food done excellently. The Caesar salad followed by vegatarian calzone with vodka sauce usually wins my irder. Everything is served by attentive and friendly staff in a comfortable, good-looking room. And, it is a genuine treat to talk to the 95-year-old owner!
