Luigi’s Italian Eatery Ratings and Reviews
Food is ok but a very odd dining experience. The wait staff was very brisk and I got the feeling they were doing what needed to be done but no more. There was no joy in the restaurant. We choose it because it was close to the stadiums and we were going to a game. With so many other placed to eat, I would not choose to go here again.
Arrived around 6:45 and was immediately seated. Seattle was having a bit of a heatwave, and it was in the 80's and humid. This restaurant apparently has no A/C, as their front door was open to try and cool the interior, but to no avail. No ceiling fans, just uncomfortable. I looked at some other patrons, one of which actually had sweat running down his forehead. It's hard to enjoy your meal like that. We ordered drinks and water, but water was served room temperature, and waited about 15 minutes until we were able to flag down a waiter to ask for ice. No bread was served. Meals arrived after about 25 minutes and the Lasagna was average. Not seasoned as you'd expect from an Italian restaurant, and thought a chain like Olive Garden actually had an edge over them. Prices were very far though, so the old cliché you pay for what you get?
It was very hot and we started as the first guests-the menu was not explained well; there is no wine list-just what he is serving. It was terribly hot and the food was very heavy. The spice of the food was mild. There was no salt provided and the garlic bread was the least flavorful I had ever eaten. I ordered the watermelon salad per the online recommendations and found it soft and tasteless. I would not recommend this restaurant. I'm sure on a cooler night it would have been better-but put some ice in the water when it's hot at the very least!
Quiet place with plenty of seating. No waiting during dinner hour on a Wednesday evening with a large event in town. Food was decent and well priced. Large order of Clams (for an appitizer) two pasta dishes, garlic bread, and two sodas came out to $58. The most expensive dish being the clan appitizer special.
We are out-of-towners and was told we must go here. Well we are so glad we did. Great food, great wine list(!) and the service was spectacular. We had Bill as our waiter. He was fantastic. supper accommodating and was very flexible on adding things to our menu. had a real eye for the right amount of food to order and helped select our wine... a great guy!
We were looking for some good ol Italian food. The kind where if you peek in the kitchen you'll see grandma cooking. This is the place. Although we didn't see grandma, if you closed your eyes while eating you'd swear she was there. We had the lasagna and spaghetti carbonara. Perfecto! The best dinner the entire three days we were here. Their watermelon salad special was so good. If you're fortunate enough to go on a night when they serve it, you must try.
Bill was a great waiter and host. This isn't a fancy place but a true gem in the rough. Great food, great prices, yumm. I can't recommend this enough!
Server was attentive (granted we were the only group there for an early lunch before catching a movie). Bill - partner of the owner was friendly. Italian wine collection was amazing! Overall pretty satisfied with everything. Would definitely dine there again if within the neighborhood but I wouldn't go out of my way just to go there.
Horrible experience. Very rude! We were greeted with "do you have a reservation? Yes, through open table, well that is a problem. We don't have any record. I would never ever recommend this restaurant! We left and will never return!!!'
I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday, and we were both very impressed. The waiter was incredibly nice and funny, and the atmosphere was perfect. It was pretty quiet, had great lighting, and lots of cool decorations. The food was also fantastic, just the right amount of portions. The prices were also very good given the quality.
We did the Chef's Italian dinner; 60pp; simply outstanding. Luigi was charming, down to earth old Italian owner. Note, restaurant only moved in 12 days to 625 address so by appearance may give a diner sitting down for a first time a second guess. But we actually lucked out and had one of most unique dining experiences ever similar to having our own private wine dinner w the owner and chef. Our waiter and all the staff were great.
