Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes
two jumbo lump crabcakes, lemon buerre blanc
The service and food were subpar compared to the prices. The menu on Opentable does not match the one in the restaurant with items or prices. Also, the menu in restaurant says to ask the server for current list of craft beers and the server had no idea what craft beers were. After she went to ask bar, she returned to list off the domestics already printed on menu. Also, the rib-eye says MKT however server didn’t know the market price. My filet has to be sent back because it was still raw in the middle when I ordered medium. I think I would prefer to go to Outback over this experience.
Great small restaurant with an excellent staff and ambiance. We hosted a private party there and they were very helpful with setup and very attentive to all the guests. I would highly recommend them for dinner, a bar night or casual drop in
Excellent steaks, but we've had better crab cakes. Oysters were also delicious. Really appreciated being able to get a 7:30 reservation at 6:00 on a Saturday night!!
It was my husband‘s 50th birthday. I made that clear in the message via the reservation. Upon arrival, the employee at the front stated they had just then read the message and asked if it was a 50th birthday. It clearly stated that in the message. Not one person wished my husband a happy birthday even when acknowledging the message. But absolutely worst of all is that my husband ordered grilled chicken on a Caesar salad and the chicken was either raw and/or spoiled. He almost got physically sick when he bit into it because it was The taste was pungent and disgusting. He was ill later in the evening. Our server was our only positive of the evening as she was incredibly nice and immediately removed the entrée. She stated she would make the kitchen aware. No manager came to our table to acknowledge the situation or apologize, only the server. My husband is the most kind and gentle person and never ever complains about anything. His 50th birthday celebration at this restaurant was horrendous. This was our first and all highly likely last visit to this restaurant.
Had a great dinner. Food and service was excellent!
The food here is always so good. This is our third trip back since moving to the area, the Scallops tonight were amazing. My husband loved his Strip and we shared artichoke dip start and it was perfect and indulgent. Highly recommend, neighborhood hot spot.
Fun, somewhat upscale atmosphere. Really liked the feel. Food, especially steak and crab cakes were good, but overpriced for quality compared to what we’ve had at other restaurants. Limited offering of only two desserts for a restaurant like this was also disappointing. Server was excellent.
This place used to be a bar, and they haven't done much to make it feel different. The chairs and tables are mismatched, and the decor looks cheap. They decided to go with an open feel, which just makes it that much easier to see all the server and staff work areas. The food is overpriced for what you get (e.g. we received 5 asparagus spears for $10). The 8 oz filet was decent, but at $35 a la carte I would prefer to spend that in a nice restaurant. The ketchup was served in a plastic cup. The bar service was slowww and the food was even slower. Our server was pleasant and apologetic, which was commendable considering what she was up against. I will not be returning.
We hosted our company Christmas party in their Boardroom. It was a delight, service as amazing and attentive but not intrusive, food was delivered promptly we all cleaned our plates. Decor was very festive. We will certainly return next year, I recommend the new york strip; that was the group favorite along side the potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach. Chocolate cake was a fantastic ending to a great meal!
My wife and I love to come here for date night, we usually try to snag a booth but this time we sat in the bar. It was a busy night and the bar was bustling. We enjoyed our cocktails and both had the featured NY Strip with crab cake on top. Very indulgent but totally worth the splurge! We had brussels sprouts and truffle mac for sides that didn't disappoint.
We dined here with a large group in one of the private rooms. Food was delicious and service was prompt and professional. Highly recommend!
Our group had steaks, catfish, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, & the lobster mac. Everyone was pleased with their meals. Just wish the bread wasn't an extra charge because it was so good! I'd definitely go back.
The burger (cooked medium plus), truffle fries and Mac and cheese were delicious!
We held our annual business dinner here and had a wonderful experience. We started out with cocktails and cheeseboards in the lounge, then moved to our private dining room for dinner. Service was excellent and the food was so good. Most everyone got steak, I opted for the salmon which was cooked to perfection. It was a fun & cozy atmosphere. We all enjoyed it and would defiantly return.
My experience taking clients there was a little disappointing, but I'd be willing to try again in the future to see if I had a different experience. They had two large parties that were wrapping up and I know that's a strain, especially with all of the workforce and supply chain issues going on at the moment. Chief complaints were wait time before we were greeted, limited drink selection due to low inventory, lackluster food, and a bill that struck me as too high for the experience we had.
It was my husband’s 50th Birthday; we came for dinner and drinks with friends.
I had called & left three messages at the restaurant and asked someone to call. No one ever called. I wanted to know if we could get a private room and if we could bring a cake. I also called two additional times and waited on hold for over 30 minutes during dining hours. I gave up.
It was super loud in the back room with another large party seated beside us. Our server was slllllloooooooowwwwwww, drinks were meh, food was ok.
Pro Tips: Order wine. Get the bottle so you don’t need a refill. Ask for three pitchers of water and wait on yourself.
Good atmosphere. Food was ok, but service was good. Definitely worth another try.
First time in-we will definitely be back!
The salad and main course were excellent and appropriate portion size. Wine was fairly priced versus some places that gouge you. I had the St Landry Parish Fire Roasted Catfish and it was soooooooooo good.
I rated as average, but definitely below average relative to location and alternatives. Simple order of entree and salad - salads came out with entrees. Server seemed to be his first day, which is fine but not worthy of the 20% tip I left but as a former server I can’t go below 20% only upwards. Long story short I would not repeat. Not horrible, just not good enough to repeat.
Business dinner for our group in the private ludlow room. Very pleasant experience from booking to dining. Food was prompt, service professional. Steaks were exceptional.
We were seated in the back of restaurant where it was extremely hot. They had to bring a fan out for all of the people sitting in the section. It took over an hour to get our food after we ordered it. Our waitress was nice but she was clearly frazzled. We went there to celebrate our daughters 25th birthday and dessert want even offered. All in all, a bad experience. Not sure we would recommend or go back at this point. Disappointed.
Very good service and food!
Ludlow and Prime is the best restaurant in Brentwood! I never travel to that area without eating there…amazing food, great ambience, and excellent service!
We had a wonderful time having dinner at the bar. Cocktails were fantastic. Salmon, brussells, gumbo, filet... all delicious! Service was great, attentive. Thanks for a great time!
Made lunch time reservations and we arrived only to find that they are closed. Had to travel somewhere else for lunch. They need to update their hours on OpenTable
Such a great team! They care about you as a customer even while they are fighting through this horrible labor market. The food is awesome!! Thanks for a great night!
Fun place & great food!
Food was fantastic, I'm not sure where I've had a better steak in many years. Great business meeting, we loved the atmosphere, fresh oysters, music & service. I also thought the wine list was nicely curated and priced very decently.
Excellent service (thank you Katie), shrimp and grits were delicious, and you are supporting a relatively small local-owned restaurant. What's not to like and enjoy?
The salmon was perfectly cooked, seared on the outside, delicious mashed potatoes, and the asparagus al dente. We had a nice booth. It was such a relaxing evening, and will certainly return. Thank you!
Promptly seated at the door. Service was great and we were a large group with a lot of allergies and requests and our server was so accomodating. Steaks were cooked to perfection. the NY Strip was a group favorite.
Waitress was super nice but food was not served to entire table at one time. Had to ask for steak knives opposed to using butter knives. Surprised a restaurant of that caliber doesn't have anything but plain milk to put in your coffee after a wonderful meal.
We had a large group (30 people). I was amazed at how efficient and quick everyone was served. The steaks were incredible, it was the best meal we had on our trip in the Nashville area. The Macaroni & Cheese is a must. Cool vibe as well. Can't wait to come back next year for our annual business meeting.
It was mediocre at best. The wait staff was nice. The Owner was not friendly and cared more about the regulars than anyone else there. He was dragging chairs and tables and didn’t care about our experience. Never greeted us…will not return and would not recommend. Too many other great places near by to waste your time here.
Out of ribeye, oysters, and few other small things…
Reservation was @ 6pm, seated @ 5:45pm, received water @ 6:15 , & appetizer (chips & cheese dip) @ 6:45pm. I am thankful that we only ordered burgers & not a steak because the burger took an hour so I can only imagine how long a steak would take. The food was great but service was absolutely horrible & sad thing is the fact we sat in the bar area & restaurant wasn’t even busy. I had high hopes but the service killed that. If anyone really reads this review, please call to discuss @ 615-416-4188.
Great food and great service. Loved the spinach dip, and the steak.
This was the first time my daughter and I dined her. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. I informed her I have a very sensitive stomach and asked for my steak well done, no salt or seasoning. It was delivered bloody and not at all cooked. They took it away and delivered it again all charred up and burnt to a crisp. It was not enjoyable at all. I mentioned it to the manager who said he would tell the chef. Not at all a good experience- with a lot of steak places to choose from - I will probably not return here. Very disappointed. By the way we were celebrating my belated birthday and I left still hungry!
As close to New Orleans that you can get in Nashville! A great little restaurant with good food, a very nice wine list, a very good service. One of the best, if not the best restaurants in Brentwood.
