Food was delicious and the service was great! We will be back again!
Savannah welcomed us promptly and seated us quickly. We were happy she was our server; Mask and gloves as mandated. Seating was socially distant and we could observe the diligent sanitation measures being taken. This restaurant has become our neighborhood favorite and we were most comfortable even in these “extraordinary” times. The dinner was as good as ever, service spot on. I’m pretty tired of cooking and this was a real treat. Hubby especially was intrigued with the touch less electronic menu feature.
Thank you to all employees who showed up for work and made our evening delightful. We will be back!
Great to be out and enjoy good food though very bummed they had no oysters at all
Love the place and will continue enjoying. I highly recommend it.
Best grilled filet I’ve had in a while. My wife’s grilled salmon filet was also very good. L&P is our new go to restaurant for grilled meat and fish!
Great steak and place to celebrate our anniversary.
Menu is too pricey for lunch. Ala carte $36 for very good crab cakes a bit too much.
I am a high value buyer and don’t shy from pricing, but these are dinner prices and premium prices and this doesn’t have premium vibe.
The scallops dish was way too salty. I think people prefer to taste the food flavors rather than have them overwhelmed by salt.
Food was great. Service was prompt and courteous. Would recommend to friends. Will visit again.
The food was excellent as usual. Very courteous staff and the bartender rocks!! My drinks were perfect.
As always, the employees have adapted to this current social distancing situation, and made our experience very enjoyable. Bartenders definitely know how to mix an excellent cocktail, and are open to hearing what you like and working with that.
This was our first time eating at Ludlow & Prime. We thoroughly enjoyed it and we’ll definitely be back!
It was our first wedding anniversary. The host (owner or manager maybe?) offered us 2 glasses of champagne on the house and the server indulged us by taking a photo. That was a great start....then the food came, which was incredible! My husband loved the salmon (and he’s from WA state, so he’s had lots of fresh salmon and can be picky) and I had the filet. We both savored every bite. The asparagus, truffle Mac, and Brussels sprouts were our sides and were great. The Brussels were my favorite, and my only complaint is that the Mac should’ve had more truffle flavor. We will definitely be back, and I’ve already recommended this restaurant to all of my friends.
Wow. Waiter was fantastic. No rush to move the table since this was the first Saturday night after quarantine. Food was cooked perfectly. Will definitely return
Fantastic food and service- great to be able to go back!
Its good to have a restaurant back. Food was good, service was good. They are taking good precautions for everyone safety.
What a gem! Great food, service and atmosphere.
Service was great. Food was fantastic! Best filet I’ve had in a while. Red fish was great, too. Don’t forget about the truffle Mac n cheese!!! A great new spot for date night
Great atmosphere and service. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The service was quick and we had our food within 15 minutes of ordering. I had the Redfish and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well and was tender. Would definitely recommend!
This is our favorite local (Brentwood) restaurant by far and one of the best in Nashville. absolute BEST strip steak in Nashville including the top-end restaurants.
Great Food always, love this place. Ambiance is lovely and it’s a great place for everyday dining or a business meal.
We had a wedge salad, filet, mashed potatoes and chocolate molten lava cake. Delicious!
Our server was very kind and attentive. Food was delicious. Always a treat for us!
Great food...great service...great management......
always great food and atmosphere. Wedge salad is a must.
Sometimes on a weekend you just want a burger! Well, this beautiful restaurant has the best one in town!
The service is perfect. Our waiter not only was prompt and courteous,he had a great personality! ludlow and Prime has become one of our weekly haunts alone with her little sister ,Ludlow Gumbo on 12th Street. Two entirely different genres and both amazing!
By the way, don’t forget to order the chocolate cake!
Always great food! Excellent service and nice ambiance.
Our server was awesome and definitely the highlight of our visit. Went with my wife the day after Valentine’s Day and they were out of filet... which was disappointing. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic and the meal standout. The NY Strip was pretty standard. The Lobster Truffle Mac and Cheese had a decent amount of lobster but no truffle flavor whatsoever.
For dessert we were excited to try the “decadent” red velvet creme brûlée and it really looked great when it arrived. However, the consistency was odd (kinda spongy like sea urchin) and the flavor was not good at all. I wish I had a better description but that’s all I have. We each took one bite and then another small confirmation bite and agreed we didn’t like it. Our server was kind enough to whisk it away and replace it with a molten lava cake which was your typical molten lava cake.
Overall, maybe they had an off night, but I’m not inclined to rush back for another meal. Service was was great though!
We were excited to try somewhere new for my Husband's birthday, but Ludlow & Prime was pretty much a let down. The steaks and the truffle mac and cheese were fine although they could have used more seasoning. The brussel sprouts and cocktails were very good. The most irritating part was that both steaks and my cocktail cost more on the bill than they did on the menu. This is not ok. I did not question it because I felt like other tables would hear and maybe if I'm spending $40+ on a steak I should care if it's actually $5 more....but I do care and I should have said something. For the price of the steaks I would never go back here. There are better steaks for cheaper somewhere else.
For the price of our steak, I expected a much better meal. Steak was bland. Rolls served cold. Nothing special.
Food was good, not great. It's a welcome addition to Brentwood.
The steak is more exoensive than Jimmy Kelly's and this cut wasn't as good.
Price range was Bob's or Rubey's.
Ordered a filet, crabcakes and brussel sprouts. The crabcakes are fantastic and the steak just OK. It was cooked perfectly but lacked the proper flavor of a steak at this price point.
Service was average and wait times for food were right at an hour.
My fiancé and I went on Valentines Day and the moment we walked in we noticed the place was filled with smoke. The ventilation must not have been working in the kitchen. We had to leave early because my fiancé’s eyes were watering so much. (Not cigarette smoke, by the way) Also, they ran out of ALL of their steaks except a NY Strip. On Valentines at 9pm...ran out
The rolls we ordered as an appetizer were cold. The host was rude. We had high hopes for this restaurant and it failed miserably.
Valentines dinner. Arrived early and were sat quickly. Steak was amazing! Whole meal was great! We will be back!
We were on a double date for Valentine’s Day with friends who are new to town. You ran out of Filet Mignon after I had ordered it and was not told this until we had already finished salads and appetizers and had waited a while for our entree to be served. I had to make a change to my order and then everyone else at our table had to wait until mine was ready to get their entree as well.
This was a disappointing experience. Valentine reservations with wife and daughter. This was our first visit. They were out of more than four items we requested. My wife said the bathroom was horribly messy. By near the end of our meal we noticed our eyes were beginning to burn slightly. It was smoke off the open grill that filled the entire space. Such a missed opportunity for them. It wasnt a surprise that they would be busy on a Friday night Valentine. Don’t think we’ll be back.
More style than substance. We won't be back. Food was sub-par and service was an afterthought.
Service was happy! Great for Brenthood!
Valentine’s Day dinner was busy. Despite the increased volume, the staff were efficient but not rushed. Food came out quickly and was delicious as always.
It was Valentines day so it was busy. It looks like they tried to cram more table in. Service was good for how busy they were. Food was good as always.
I respect the fact that dining out on Valentine’s Day will be different than a normal evening based on limited menu and amount of patrons. My experience at L&P was well below what I would have expected. It was clear from entering the restaurant that the staff had been tasked with flipping tables and moving customers in/out as quickly as possible. Food was coming at us within minutes of placing the order. One could state that is good measure for a restaurant but this was just too quick. I believe I was still in the same topic of conversation with my wife from the time I placed the order to when the food arrived. With respect to the food: roasted brussel sprouts, truffle Mac & cheese, Burrata salad were all very good. Chicken Tortilla soup was average. Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were small - dry - and just not very good. And given the price one would expect a quality crab. This were no where close to quality crab cakes. Generally not accustomed to paying for bread at a quality restaurant - the Parker rolls were average and patrons being charged for bread is a miss in my opinion.
I dine out due to my business several nights a week and I rarely write negative posts. But this dining experience was so uncomfortable for my wife and I that I wanted to share.
Bottom line: special occasion meal was rushed from beginning to end; main course food were below average especially for the price
Great food and friendly staff. Every time we go we can’t wait to come back.
