Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes
two jumbo lump crabcakes, lemon buerre blanc
First time trying this place & wasn’t displeased. Although they were out of the oysters, and the waitress mentioned a few items on the menu either unavailable or they weren’t ready to prepare those dishes. However, our food was amazing. We ordered two seafood Martinis, my 8 month old loved the lump crab meat. The deviled eggs were good, my steak was perfect along with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. My fiancé said the salmon tasted like no other she has ever tried (strong smokey flavor) and the asparagus were perfect. My daughter loved the grilled shrimp & truffle fries although, she first ordered the fried chicken, but had to send it back because she said it tasted burnt, which we both agreed. Our waitress was understanding and fixed it right away. All and all, it was a great meal.
Best hidden gem in Williamson if you like amazing food. If you know, you know.
When we walked in, the hostess was eating. The waitress was delightful and attentive but a quarter of the menu was unavailable. The waitress spend a good 5 minutes just listing out the trove of menu items that were not available. The menu itself is bigger than it needs to be anyway. My steak was well prepared but my wife's shrimp was tasteless.
Great food! Steaks are divine! Sides are unique and tasty and large enough to share. Service is attentive. There is a lively conversational buzz among the tables. Simply a great little place!
Fantastic!! Anniversary dinner with my wife. Not gonna lie, i didn't know what to expect but our food was absolutely awesome. We are seafood lovers and this gem didn't disappoint. The crawfish hushpuppies, etouffee, NY Strip and lobster mac & cheese were off the hook. I live in Lebanon, so my only complaint is I wish it were closer. The menu had so many things I can't wait to come back and try. Our server, Audrey was wonderful.
Food was great! Can't wait to return, the new menu has some great new selections. I loved the Carbonara, wife had shrimp etouffee and we both loved our food!
Great meal with family & friends. My ribeye was cooked perfectly, most everyone else had seafood and loved it. The crawfish etouffee was best I've had outside of NOLA. We also had artichoke dip & gorilla peppers to start- everything was awesome and can't wait to go back and try other things.
Overpriced. Waitress was very kind and tried her best- short staffed.
L & P was short staffed but manager kept seating walk in diners. It took over 15 minutes every time we ordered a beverage. I asked server to refill water three times, and she never did. I finally got my own water at the bar. Salads took 45 minutes to arrive. Then main dishes came out before we were even done with salads. Steaks and salmon were delicious. Brussel sprouts were burned to a crisp. Restaurant menu was limited because they were out of quite a bit of dishes. No bread. No oysters. About 10 other items were unavailable. We spent nearly 3 hours there!! Too long. Server was kind but never apologized or mentioned things were so behind.
I’ve been before and enjoyed the experience. I don’t know that I’ll be back for a while since they aren’t accommodating the staff shortage.
Hidden gem of a neighborhood type establishment. Varied menu-from appetizers to main course. Fair amount of seafood choices, something which is unusual in Nashville. Will return.
Steak was good but overcooked and arrived medium when medium rare had been requested, but wait staff was kind to correct this. We were given a list of items they were out of, when we were seated, which was disappointing to start the meal that way but perhaps to be expected during the holiday/post-holiday season. Look forward to trying them again.
I made a reservation on open table. I also called and spoke to manager to be sure we could have tables near the game. I was told the tables will have reserved signs on them and they would be waiting for us. When we arrived on time, the tables had been taken. They didn’t remember our reservation. They did their best to squeeze us in the bar area by moving tables around so we were appreciative but it was very snug and a bit uncomfortable. I had to take a stool from the waiting area for one because we were one short. We love the ambience but I am not sure open table is the way to reserve here.
Nice local steakhouse. High quality food. Great people. Rachel did a great job as we sat at the bar and ate a nice steak with a wedge salad. Good wine list is priced right.
The food was delicious. We were there on New Year's Eve. They were expecting more of a crowd, I believe. Our table for 2 was awkwardly placed in the middle of the dining room. We ordered a cocktail and dinner. Our cocktail was empty and water more than half empty before our server asked if we wanted more water?? Didn't offer to get us another drink. It was very noisy so we really couldn't talk to one another. Another couple became very angry with the service, made a scene and left. We asked for their cozy booth table. We didn't get to make the switch before our food was served. The food was worth the wait. We ordered the 8 oz. Filet, Sea Scallops, Mashed potatoes and asparagus. (I wouldn't order the asparagus again. The tough outer skin was left on.) The meal made the evening. Steak was perfectly cooked as well as the Sea Scallops perfectly seasoned. It made up for the lousy service. Would we go back? Yes, but I would request the back room or a booth and I never request a booth.
We have gone to L&P for New Year’s several times. The food is generally good, but it was clear this visit that corners were being cut left and right. My drinks were horrible (excuse: not normal bar tender, but we were still charged for the original and the replacement even after they told us they had to sub ingredients and we explained nicely the sub was not a success), they dropped the one chicken dish from the menu without flagging it as a holiday change (I don’t believe it was… our server was guessing and never asked anyone) and said all they had were cheeseburgers for other than steak and seafood. That would have all been fine if the service would have at least been good. Lots of “deer in the headlights” responses to our questions/concerns. It was slow, disjointed, missing sides… plates were slung down and never cleared. I think our server was new, and we tried to be nice about it all. But, for $60+ per person, we expect servers who know the menu, know the restaurant, and are at least trained in how to serve in fine dining. This felt like Applebee’s on a busy Friday night. Not what we expect for a $300 meal.
My advice: If you are understaffed and can’t serve a full dining room without lowering standards, take fewer customers and save your reputation. Hopefully, our experience was isolated to our section.
This was our first time dining here. The steak and mashed potatoes were good. The asparagus were cold like they had been sitting out. Told the server she brought back another order within a minute those were still cold. Told the server she didn’t offer to take them off our bill or bring something else. We waited for over an hour for our food and would not have expected it to be cold.
We were seated quickly as we had reservations, however, the gentleman host wasn’t personable or thoughtful. He sat us and didn’t provide menus or let us know who our server would be.
The restaurant was severely understaffed in the dining room and in the kitchen.
Our food was slow to be delivered, but tasty and were pleased. The scallop dish was underwhelming with only 3 scallops for $32.
It wasn’t a horrible experience but not sure that I would visit again.
Food was burnt and took 25 mins to seat us although we arrived for our early for our reservation. Not really a big deal. The food was over priced insanely and the food was pretty poor. Wife’s steak was over cooked and we ordered mid rare. Gumbo not sure if it was made correctly actually not sure what was in it based on the menu discription.
The blackened salmon was incredible
We had a great meal with great service. Steaks were done perfectly. Gumbo was tasty with a slight kick. Will definitely go back.
Christmas Eve dinner was excellent. A little loud to start but got better quickly. Would definitely go back!
Great food nice menu variety. Great service. Was a perfect venue for Christmas Eve dinner
Had high hopes that a locally owned restaurant would have very good food. The place is not kept well, the chairs, the tables are old and not maintained well. Even with the 'okay' ambience was expecting some good food. Was very disappointed with every dish we had. Burger was mediocre, New York Strip costs almost $48 and was missing salt and taste. Did not seem the freshest of cut for the price. Will not visit again.
The restaurant was not busy and we were seated at a table with the overhead light burned out and the candles on our table were also burned out. It was very dark. There was no salt and pepper (it was on all the other tables) and we asked several times, before finally getting it off another table. We also asked for candles that were burning and never received them. We had to use the flashlight from our phones to see the menus.
Steak was delicious, oysters were good, cheeseburger was excellent, crawfish hush puppies were exceptional. The lobster Mac and cheese was just average and a very small portion. The crab cake appetizer was tiny and horrible and tasted like week old fish. The biggest disappointment were the truffle fries. The portion was the size from a child’s menu and they tasted just like fries from a fast food restaurant with zero truffle flavor.
I will try this restaurant again in hopes that it was just an off night.
The food and service were both surprisingly outstanding!! We’ve been here several times and the food had been good but not outstanding- Tonight’s dinner was amazing! the salmon had a smoky outside bark that was absolutely delicious- it was perfectly cooked. Sides were all great but their Brussels sprouts are probably the best we’ve had in Nashville. I’ve had enough of Brussels sprouts but these are really worth getting!! Also their scallops were great too!
Service was excellent too.
Food is excellent. A couple of small issues could make a big difference overall. For example, a cheese board with no crostinis or nice crackers (not pre-packaged) saltines is not a nice nor functional presentation. Otherwise, I like Ludlow & Prime and will keep coming back.
Overall a good experience, however they were pretty slow due to being understaffed cause of COVID challenges. Great restaurant, will be back soon!
The rolls were just frozen rolls and they charge for them. The food was very average. Part of it was cold.
Busy early Saturday evening. Ludlow was likely down one or two waitstaff/busters but hustled as did the kitchen. Our only complaint was that the blackened redfish—always a favorite dish—was spicier than usual. We will ask for it to be milder next time.
Great service and great food.
Food was good- the NY Strip was the way to go. Mac n cheese with bacon jam was a hit with the kids and the salads were awesome. Wedge, house and Cesar all good. The service was good at first but then she forgot about us - nothing cleared, wine poured etc. I thought they may do something for the boys bday as we mentioned it and put in this reservation but they did not. Would have been a nice touch.
Lovely restaurant, great service and delightful food. Don’t particularly understand the trend of high-end steakhouses serving steak only with no side. Bread was good (not complimentary), burger was good, but the real star of the show was the filet; so tender, delicious, and perfectly cooked. We ordered truffle fries and lobster truffle mac and cheese. Both were outstanding.
We enjoyed a wonderful family Christmas dinner….
Great food and ambiance 🧑🎄
Great food and ambiance. Eggla was just the best serving our group. My filet was amazing! So much better than one I recently had at Perrys. I will definitely be coming back!
The food was delicious (we had artichoke dip, and meals included sirloin with scallops, and salmon dinners). The service was sub-par. I made reservations for two but we arrived separately; I arrived first and was seated promptly. My friend was a few minutes behind me and when he checked in was not told I was already there so he sat at the bar area for about 15min before we texted each other and discovered we were both there. Our waitress was either new or was told to hurry us along because she kept coming back prematurely to see if we needed anything else. I was just a few bites into my meal when she asked if we were ready for the check (did not ask if we wanted dessert or coffee). So we were essentially hurried out in barely an hour. Will not return here when there are so many other great steak restaurants in the area with better service.
We had an annual business dinner here and everything was fantastic! Great service and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.
The service and food were subpar compared to the prices. The menu on Opentable does not match the one in the restaurant with items or prices. Also, the menu in restaurant says to ask the server for current list of craft beers and the server had no idea what craft beers were. After she went to ask bar, she returned to list off the domestics already printed on menu. Also, the rib-eye says MKT however server didn’t know the market price. My filet has to be sent back because it was still raw in the middle when I ordered medium. I think I would prefer to go to Outback over this experience.
Great small restaurant with an excellent staff and ambiance. We hosted a private party there and they were very helpful with setup and very attentive to all the guests. I would highly recommend them for dinner, a bar night or casual drop in
Our firm had a great time. Service and food were both excellent. Looking forward to visiting again
Excellent steaks, but we've had better crab cakes. Oysters were also delicious. Really appreciated being able to get a 7:30 reservation at 6:00 on a Saturday night!!
