Our food was just ok. The waiter was fantastic, there were 11 of us on a busy Saturday evening. They took a reservation for me, which I appreciated.
Ludington Bay's OpenTable reservation feature was great. True to their word, we walked in and were seated due to setting up reservations.
Only flaw we had was waitress never offered to split check to our group. With it being so busy, wasn't worth trying to fix but created a hassle.
Even though it was a nice night, we decided to dine inside the restaurant. The beer was good and not bitter (I do not like IPA or bitters beers). I had the Summer Fling (Hefeweizen) Beer. It is listed as a Bavarian Beer, but is more like a Czech Pilsner. They need to research their product better.
We ordered the "Kind of a BIG Dill" pizza, but had been hoping to sample the "Crab Rangoon" also. We were told that the kitchen could not split pizza in half and allow 2 different pizza on the same pie. This is an area that they need to work on. Every other pizza place allows 2 halves on the same pie, however, they are unable to accommodate this request. The kitchen and management needs to offer this option, for this reason, I can't offer a 5 star rating because this is not an unreasonable request!
Out side seating was not comfortable. The hostess pointed and told us where to find our table feather than taking us out there. We had a baby In a high chair and the table was at the right height for her to hit her face on the end of the wood top. Service was incredibly slow. We didn’t see a waitress for almost 20
Mins. after being seated. We had 6:15 reservations and didn’t get any food until almost 7:15. Food was decent but not for the price. Not impressed.
