   Was able to book for their Aungier street restaurant as per my booking but they closed it down and didn’t move the booking or contact me re same. Completely unacceptable and incompetent

   Booked a table for this restaurant on 10th January 2023 for my sister and I and we were really looking forward to it as it’s my last couple of weeks in Dublin and I wanted to go back to the LT. I showed up at 3:25 for my booking at 3;30pm and the shutters were completely down & we were very confused. I tried calling both restaurants and couldn’t get through as the response was ‘this mailbox is full’.. if you’re going to have a restaurant at least sort out the mailbox, this is from someone who currently works in reservations for a popular Dublin restaurant. We headed on to find somewhere else (after having planned this for over a month) and went to Yammamori which was 5 star. I later discovered after looking at Instagram, they were closed for renovations. Funny, because I never received a courtesy call to say they’re closed or to re-allocate my booking to the temple bar branch. They never even had the audacity to email me, you could still book tables online, it makes no sense. This review could have been saved with some contact from the venue however I didn’t get this. Really a shame and a disappointment; not a way to treat customers especially ones who want to return. Strange because how can you assume someone will see your closed just by posting on Instagram?? Not even adding that you’re temporarily closed to google or contacting customers directly, it’s a real shame.

   The restaurant is under construction and the information was not passed on. We had booked the table 1 month is advance due to the unavailability of tables whenever we tried to get a table at this place. After so much of anticipation and waiting for a month to try the restaurant, we reached the place only to find out the restaurant is closed for renovation. They should have cancelled or at least let us know that they will be closed or moved our reservation to their Temple Bar restaurant. Just a heads up would have been really good.

   We booked at short notice with little idea what to expect. It was casual and relaxed, but to the point of the staff being almost nonchalant. They were nice but explained the food and the way service worked in a way which left us confused. (some items are "sides" and can be refilled, others are "mains" and cannot and we found the explanations of what they were and which were which difficult to understand. We did work it out but advise you to ask until you understand and also to watch the price of the drinks - they pushed our bill higher than we expected. We would go again.

   The food was okay at best, but the people were wonderful! We went there for the dumplings because they sounded so amazing but they were okay. Unlikely that I’ll return there for dumplings but the scallion pancakes and kimchi were deadly!! Might go back for them!

    Delicious dim sum, very attentive waiter explained all our courses to us, nice atmosphere too, will definitely be back!
