   Arrived 10 minutes before our 1:30 reservation and the place was only half full. The hostess indicated she would not seat us until our reservation time (which seemed odd...??) She also did not offer us an immediate seat at the bar, which we found out later would have been an option (and since we were traveling, it would have been helpful.) Food was good but not great. What WAS great was the $4 Sunday Funday Bloody Mary! Also appreciate that they offer smaller senior portions at reduced prices (although overall prices really are very competitive.) Our waitress was pleasant, helpful, and did not attempt to rush us as first-time visitors. We would come back again, but with different expectations. I'd consider it better-than-average casual dining, but not the more upscale farm-to-table experience we were anticipating (perhaps mistakenly, but that was our impression from online reading.)

   We were seated by the fireplace & loved it. Tried the cheese dip with chips for app and it was very tasty, as well as the rest of our meal choices!!

    We had chicken Marsala, salmon, and a side of fettuccini. It was simply delicious. We highly recommend the food and service.

    We love Lucky Rooster. It’s my favorite restaurant in Battle Creek. All of the food is delicious and the service is great. I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday or Saturday evening because it gets packed.

    This was our first time here, our waitress was on top of making sure we had everything we needed / wanted. The food service was quick. The food was delicious. I would recommend Lucky Rooster to anyone who hasn’t been there.

    We arrived from the Flint area to meet my brother and his wife who drove from Indiana to eat and visit at the Lucky Rooster. Upon arrival we were seated quickly and received wonderful service for our entire visit. The food was delicious and we never felt hurried during our visit. I would recommend the Lucky Rooster to everyone!

    We had a reservation but had to wait a while to get a table by the fireplace. Very noisy so hard for my older mother to hear conversation. Food was ok and decent value. Loved the smaller portions for senior meals. Nice wedge salad. Server was really good. While the website said there was a vegan menu (the reason we went there vs Clare’s or Schulers) it didn’t really exist. There was a vegan burger that worked ok. Suggest you actually develop a vegan menu, would be unique in Battle Creek.

    We enjoyed lunch here. The online reservation option was easy to use. We ordered sandwiches and soup. The French onion soup was amazing. Our grilled cheese and chicken salad sandwiches were really good, especially with the type of bread they used. I had a bowl of fresh fruit. The fruit was cut in nice portions. The blend of fruit was just right

    I’m a huge fan of Lucky Rooster! Service, appetizers and meals, for the most part, were amazing. The featured catfish tasted like it came out of the sewer but the pasta it was served over made up for the less than desirable tasting fish. I didn’t complain because sometimes that happens and everything else was outstanding as usual.
