Lucky Penny Cafe at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa
Very good place, good food, different options, will return!
The menu leaves a lot to be desired, very sparse on chinese food/bowls. They need to add a Seniors section with smaller portions at a reasonable price, there's a Sun City Summerlin with 7,000 homes nearby and many would appreciate dining out more often with that option and money left to gamble!!
I has always taken a long time to get your order. It is always good when you get it.
I have had the steak salad five times. It was delicious three times, tough and gristly the other times. Husband’s hash was gristly. Service extremely slow. In general, we like this place, but quality of food is very inconsistent.
Offered a variety of options for everyone in our group. The grilled salmon with quinoa was very good.
Wife ordered baked potato and received fries. I had Turkey dinner the week before at Green Valley Ranch and it was delicious. The turkey dinner at Red Rock was awful. Turkey had odd taste and was dry. Service was slow, but friendly.
Servers were very friendly and ordered my breakfast exactly the way I wanted it.
Great place to eat.
Easter Dinner was great!
My family and I agree, their pancakes may have been the best pancakes ever
Service and food was great Would highly recommend if in casino, which was also great
The food is always pretty good here, but don't expect anything fancy, this is a 24/7 cafe in a casino after all. The service can get slow if they are short-handed or swamped, but that's anywhere. This is a good place to go when you just want a decent lunch.
Very attractive place with good service. The menu is not huge but there is something for everyone.
I will keep saying this until something is done...their new plates are HORRIBLE and they are not allowed to switch out the plate with a regular round plate!!!!!! The "no substitute EVER" policy is also HORRIBLE!! Normally, food is good and made correctly, but this time my Reuben was made incorrectly with grilled onions (my fault that I didn't send it back to be made correctly). It comes on "marbled rye" which I don't particularly like and asked if I could have on "regular rye;" WELL, they don't even have regular rye in their kitchen...RIDICULOUS!! What kind of restaurant doesn't carry rye bread???!!??? At least the service is still excellent...shout out to Tia, Todd, and Jerrilynn!
Hostess was overwhelmed. We got a text telling us our table was ready. We approached her, and she told us to wait. She then proceeded to ask everyone in two lines, including the hostess table, how many in their party and pointed to where they should wait. Usually we are seated immediately.
I will keep saying this until something is done...their new plates are HORRIBLE and the "no substitute EVER" policy is also HORRIBLE!! Food and service at least are still great!
Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Try it out!
We enjoyed everything. Food & service were excellent.
We waited over 20 minutes for a server to come take our order....I asked 4 different people to get someone to take our order....other guests were seated after us....got there food and ate and left before we even got our dinner....it was ridiculous.
Lucky Penny is not as good as the Grand Cafe. Menu very small.
I ordered breakfast for dinner this time due to very greasy chicken panini last time and cold chicken parm the time before. Hard to destroy eggs and toast so it was good.
They certainly need a senior menu given the 7,000 home Sun City community which frequents this cafe when they play at Red Rock.
Not impressed with the change my steak meal went up $4 and they took away a side. The new menu also has less items. I’m not sure I’ll be back to this location
Love this place! Any meal 😋
The food is good and plentiful. I think the coffee is too expensive, and never order it.
I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in quality food preparation.
Diner food at its finest. Large portions, delicious soups. Quick service.
The server was very nice, but something must have happened in kitchen or she forgot to put the order in. The food took an hour to come out. Shouldn’t have been that long for two breakfasts that were just eggs and bacon, and one kids meal.
Eggs were overcooked and tasted like a gas grill
Usually the food is pretty good and I am a fan of the prime rib dinner but St Patty's day corned beef and cabbage was seriously lacking. The first plate brought out were thin, dried up pieces. The manager was called and they brought out a new plate. The meat was tough and at first glance, what seemed moist was just juice from the pot poured on top. I would say skip the specials and dont deviate from the basics.
Food is good and plentiful.
Sometimes waiter service is slow.
I have had the NY Strip steak on many occasions and mostly to my liking. Changes made to this Steak Frites* was disappointing. The seasoning of the french fries and the steak left a bad taste all evening. My wife had the Tortiglioni which she said was very good.
Grand Cafe menu was better. They need to bring back some items from that menu. Service and food was good.
Prices and menu has changed. Use to go weekly. No more. Service is now horrible and my guests food was cold after waiting 45 minutes for it. I no longer recommend this place.
Since they changed to Lucky Penny, new policies of CANNOT substitute and can't get a different plate from their new semi-oval ones are ridiculous! The new plate style is difficult for the servers to hold, food falls off, and silverware falls off easily if not placed on plate "just right."
Service is, as always, great!
Nice menu selections and good service even when very busy.
Always great service and great food at the Lucky Penny. Great Options and the portions are huge... this was our go to while staying at the Red Rock .
Usually eat there twice a week for last couple Months.
DO NOT LIKE THE NEW MENU!!!
Great service from Carl and great food !!
Breakfast was great! The reservation helped, we were immediately seated upon arrival. Our food came quickly after ordering, and Jennifer's hospitable service was great. Nice portions for the value.
Great new items at the Lucky Penny Cafe. Best place for a great and inexpensive breakfast anytime of the day. The staff is top notch! Tia is GREAT!!
First time visiting since the changeover. Missing our former favorite breakfast items. And random observation: the new take out bags have bad handles that cut your fingers.
