Lucky Fins Seafood Grill
The miso soup was a bit fishy flavored. Chowder was good and everything else we had was good. We split the sampler and had some spicy salmon that was actually really good. Staff was not overly friendly but they did good. Overall I would recommend it and I’ll eat there again.
The food was absolutely delicious, the cedar salmon was one of the best tasting I've ever had.
Excellent location in the center of Downtown Boise! Nice atmosphere and good service. The food is good but not exceptional.
Food was good, but space is cramped and very loud. Service was very slow and feel like server forgot about our table when we were first sat. Won’t go back or recommend.
My sisters and I had dinner at Lucky Fin. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go again. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees for 4 of us and had more than enough food. Everything g was fabulous!
Wonderful restaurant! I had a friend in town and wanted to take her to experience a great meal in downtown Boise. The service was wonderful we had the best waiter. We started with appetizers and then had some of the best fish tacos with delicious rice. I highly recommend this restaurant. My husband and I eat at the Meridian location all the time.
Absolutely the best gluten free meal I’ve had at a restaurant. The mango shrimp tacos were fresh and the corn shell held up and tasted like it had been just made. The lobster stuffed avocado was delightful as well.
Went there on a date but it's not really a 'date' spot. More of a family friendly spot with good food at good prices.
The food was delicious. The service was spot on. It was a little noisy but I guess that’s what you get when people are eating good food and having a good time. We will definitely be back
Place was busy and loud but very fun. The service was good and the food was excellent. I thought the sushi rolls seas some of the best-very fresh and not shy on the fish!
The food was great but the service was terrible. After being seated we sat for 15 minutes until we found someone to tell we hadn't seen a server yet. After another 5-10 minutes our order was taken and over 30 minutes later we received dinner. After our meal with nothing at our table we again sat for 30 minutes before our check was brought over.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Chowder was great!
The server was excellent and especially attentive to one of my friends who has extremely bad allergies. She was very helpful and wonderful to accommodate her needs. The food was wonderful, especially the salmon! I would highly recommend eating here
Outstanding and high quality seafood in a fun downtown setting
Our server was awesome! What an attentive guy and boxed up the leftovers so nicely :) The Birthday luncheon was a great success so many thanks!
My wife’s significant other was marrying his brother. In for the wedding,
When I first walked in, the hostess asked if I wanted to be seated inside or outside. There was a band playing outside that was fairly loud so I requested inside. I’m in a band so I didn’t have anything against the band it was just that I wanted a bit more quiet dining experience. She began to seat me inside but the windows were all open and the band noise was too much to have nice conversation. Would’ve had to strain to hear and talk. I asked her if there was a quieter area so thank God she moved us to the back to a really nice table that was perfect for visiting with family which is what we were there to do. Then we had Thomas as our server who was absolutely wonderful. What a great attitude he has! Very attentive and fun. We really enjoyed him. It made our experience that much better! The food was fabulous. We will be back!
Following other reviews, we went to LF while visiting Boise for a few days and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of each dish and the value of food for the price. Had a wonderful scallop and ahi salad. Sat outside, enjoyed watching the people on the plaza. Liked it so much we went back with friends two days later. Would recommend to anyone, especially those who like sushi.
Celebrating my husband’s father’s birthday, we decided to try some new items as my husband and I typically order sushi and have had some great seafood appetizers before. We ordered 2 of the LF favorites (prime sandwich and fin noodle dish) & found both dishes subpar. Service was excellent and we did have a delicious Mango Tango sushi roll as an appetizer but it would be hard to recommend this place for anything outside of the primary seafood dishes.
Food was good, our server was GREAT but for some reason the evening we were there, the place was overrun with flies.
Fantastic food and service, thank you! The location and outdoor misters were great.
Sushi was subpar. Tuna on top of roll looked like torn, not clean cuts. For a seafood based restaurant the quality of fish was poor and not freash. Shrimp scampi was pretty good. Halibut was fishy.
Great food and service on a Friday evening! The menu was much more in depth than we expected and not exorbitantly priced for the location. Great, friendly atmosphere for couples, groups, and families.
The menu stated truffle fries.. I was given regular fries. When I pointed this out I was given some salty garlic mix to put on my fries. Expectations did not meet reality.
Second time the service was poor! Once we were seated it took a very long time to be acknowledged. When asked about our server there seemed to be a lot of confusion. We tried to walk up to the bar but were ignored. Once we ordered drink, they sat at the bar until we got up and tried to get our drinks. The bartender said we couldn't touch them. The bartender should have walked around the bar and brought them to our table with a smile...instead she turned her back to us and proceeded to chat with another co-worker. A lot of employees sitting around the bar and flat out not doing their jobs. We ended up walking out and went across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings where the service was amazing and high quality. Although we enjoy the food, we are going to have to say Goodbye to Lucky Fins and stop recommending them. This place is totally mismanaged! Too bad!
Great representation of downtown Boise
Good food and good service.Appreciate the value.
Thomas was a 10 and the food was exceptional. I will be back soon!
Dined here on a Tuesday @ 5 p.m. Not crowded so noise was low. Bartender/waiter was Eric who gave great service, recommendations, and made excellent cocktails. Food was excellent and appetizers were delicious, too. Definitely a do-over.
Sat outside on hot summers evening. Tarps for shade and misters kept the temperature perfect. Great service.
I was in town from Colorado and took my 90 year old mother & sister to dinner. Everything was perfect except the Ladies bathroom was a mess! Paper towels all over the floor and the sinks were dirty.
Food & service was great...
Took family to celebrate wife's birthday. Service was good, food was very good and vibe was pleasant. We indulged in apps, cocktails and entrees, so the bill got up there, but not out of range compared to other similar class establishments. I look forward to a return visit!
The sushi was phenomenal as usual but the happy hour prices for 20 oz beers didn’t seem like the best bang for your buck.
Absolutely worst service possible. Food hadn't arrived after 1 hour! Asked for managers, Cami came and asked us what was wrong. She brought out the food almost immediately. 3 of 4 entrees. All were extremely cold and had been sitting for probably 45 minutes. She offered us a gift card - as if we'd be back! We left and went elsewhere.
I prefer the Meridian location. Dinner was good, waited over 40 min for dessert to come out but had to leave.
We went for brunch. The bloody Marys were good but a touch on the pricey side. My mom got the Birkenstock Benedict and the eggs were cooked through.. not exactly what one looks for with a benedict. Otherwise good was fine. Service was a little slow for how few people were there but overall pretty decent
Wonderful food & service in a great atmosphere.
Will definitely go back.
The food was fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend going there for any meal.
Made a reservation for 6PM, when arrived, nothing reserved. Name not even on the reserved list. Was told a 15 -20 minute wait. Went to Fat Albert's instead. Got right in.
