   Had a reservation for 11:45 but they quit seating from 11:30 to 12:00 to change over the kitchen. Hostess is rude and told everyone from 11:30 up to 11:50 that they wouldn’t be seating for another “15-20” minutes. Server was ok, but too busy to notice things like missing silverware or empty glasses. We used to eat here all the time. With the menu changes and the decline in service we’ve encountered the last few times, I don’t know that we will be back.

   Went on Mother’s Day and enjoyed a delicious dinner with family. The food was excellent, as usual and Victoria was a great server. Thanks for being open on Mother’s Day so I didn’t have to cook!

   It was Mother’s Day—which is tough for restaurants—we were prepared to be patient so, when they told us that the kitchen had said not to seat anyone until further notice, we waited. And we waited and we waited. After an hour of waiting past our reservation, when they still couldn’t tell us if the kitchen would need another 10 minutes or an hour, we decided to leave. It might have been a gift—we’ve decided to avoid the madness and have brunch at home in the future. ;)

   Usually a big fan of Lucky Dill on a regular weekend. Booked a large party for Mother’s Day and they could not get it together. Was there for over 2 hours for breakfast and no food (minus the kids meals that came out after 1.5 hours and multiple complaints). Manager on duty was not apologetic and basically said his cooks couldn’t handle the orders coming in. Said he would again check on our food but never came back with an update. Ended up canceling our order - but still paid for all the drinks we had including a take out order that came out in less than 20 minutes. Not sure if they forgot our original order - but sadly was handled terribly. Very disappointing considering it is my husbands favorite place for pastrami sandwiches! Will never go back during a holiday and sadly not sure when we will go back.

   I love the Lucky Dill! The food is always fabulous and the portions are enormous. We ate at noon so I had their delicious French Dip and mom had the breakfast omelette. If you have never been, you have to save room for dessert, unfortunately I only finished half my sandwich and ther was no room. But, they have a fabulous New York old school bakery that's incredible.

   I had not been in a while. Menu changed. Rolls were stale. Salad was very good and so was my pasta. Waiter seemed to be in a hurry although it was not very busy.

    We made our Saturday night reservations so we didn’t have to wait. They took our name and said they were very busy but would try to seat us before any wait list people. Thought that was why we made reservations. Next a kitchen staffer came out very loud and flustered to front desk and proclaimed wait tickets were at 55 minutes. They could find us a seat but it would be a while before someone could take our order. And then the 55 minute wait for our food would begin. We had a bit of a time restraint, but the way we were dealt with was unprofessional and unacceptable. Sadly, we see no reason to return to this establishment and made sure 2-3 other parties walked out when I shared the 55 minute ticket times your employee was ranting about. Glad you are so busy you don’t need our business anymore. Shame on your whole restaurant

    The food at Lucky Dill is always excellent and dependable. Our server made it extra special as her ability to keep our meal moving with comedy and friendly conversation was an added bonus. She is excellent as well. You should strive to keep her employed and staffing tables that appreciate her humor. Her name is Victoria.

    Sky scraper sandwich’s were just that. Stacked high. My pastrami with turkey(liver on the side) tender and flavorful. Ate one half took the other half home for next day. Monique our server was unique. On top of providing what ever was needed.

    Normally Lucky Dill is spot on with everything. But on 3/16 (part of their St. Patrick's Day week of celebration) things were totally off the norm. Something was wrong in the kitchen. It took 1 hour from the time we ordered until the food arrived. We have had Thanksgiving dinner there for the last 3 or 4 years and each time everything has been perfect. We also go there every 6-8 weeks for lunch. We plan on continuing these visits. BUT, we will never again go there during their Irish celebration week.

    Had reservations for 6pm. We waited over an hour for a table. We waited another hour at table to be waited on. We left without getting served after being at lucky dill for 2.5 hours. Never again!

    Made the reservation for night before St Patrick's Day to eat and hear live Irish music. The place was very busy at 5 pm and a reservation was considered "priority seating". We were seated in about 15 minutes so it all worked out. We ordered off the menu as there were no specials for the holiday. Corned beef sandwich for me and meatball sub for BF. Food was good. Ordered FF which were extra $2. There is a 1.5% charge for using a credit card which is not posted anywhere so bring cash if that bothers you. It bothers me! Music was great and that's mainly what we came there for. Server was a nice young man. I would go back because the menu is varied and give them another try on a less busy time.

    Love this place! Who doesn’t love an authentic NYC deli-style menu?! Being from New York, this restaurant has everything you would expect from a city deli, a New York diner, and an authentic Catskills hotel dining room!

    Lucky Dill never disappoints. Friendly service, prompt seating, and a huge variety of choices of delicious foods. From corned beef to vegetarian, it is all good. The Irish music at lunch in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day, was an added bonus!

    I love the Lucky Dill but sadly can’t give a five star review. I raved about it to my friends so we all went. My corned beef sandwich was not as large as it used to be. I used to be a big eater but could only finish half. Now I eat half of what I used to and could have finished the whole thing. My wife’s Reuben was the same but they also forgot the Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. My friend’s order was totally wrong. He ordered the triple hot dogs and it came out as two. When the waitress was told, she corrected it immediately, but the loaded NY hot dog came with relish only! I’m from NY and a loaded NY hot dog comes with mustard, sauerkraut and onions in tomato sauce. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Maybe it was an off day…I sincerely hope so. I loved this place. My friends did note how nice the decorations were and how very clean it was.

    Our waiter had no personality. It took him over 10 minutes to approach our table after we wee sat. The waiter is gruff, and never smiled. The tables were so close together. It was like you were eating with strangers. My husband ordered the Ruben, which was actually OK. However, I ordered the Yankee salad with tuna. The scoop of tunafish was so small it was slightly larger Than the size of a golf ball. I expected a generous portion of tuna salad seeing how this salad was $17 and then surrounding this tiny scoop of tuna salad were four slices of strawberries, canned mandarin oranges, three olives, three wedges of tomato on a bit of greens. it was nothing like the description on the menu and was very disappointing. The dressing that came with it was an oily Greek dressing. However, in my opinion, it should’ve been a raspberry or strawberry vinaigrette given that it was supposed to be a fresh salad covered with fruit and tuna. The waiter never even offered to give us our free slice of cheesecake that comes when you order a meal and a drink. We just paid and left. It was a very disappointing experience.

    Tender, succulent roast turkey, mashed potatoes with skin on, garlicky green beans. The coleslaw is thinly sliced and the dill pickle was crisp. A nice slice of cheesecake and an apple strudel were on the house! On the down side, the corned beef was fatty and lukewarm. This place definitely is worth a try, just ask for lean meat and for it to be hot!

    The food was good, but the meal was over-priced! We "split" 1 sandwich (which was an extra $2 charge), had a couple of beers and 1 piece of cheesecake. Our check was over $51.00 (before tip)!!! Really...for lunch! And...we were charged 1.5% EXTRA for using a credit card!

    This was our third visit here during our month long stay in Palm Harbor! Tonight I had the Waldorf Chicken Salad and a cup of Tomato soup………. You know that feeling when you’ve had the perfect meal for a particular day? That was this meal! So glad we made this pick!

    The brisket was awesome - exactly the way I had it as a kid. My son loved the meatloaf. I got a pastrami on rye to go for my dad. He really misses NYC and the awesome delis there. He absolutely loved it. I wish there was a good one closer or in Wesley Chapel. Definitely worth the drive, though 😁

    So open table suggested that I make a reservation and am glad I did, the place was packed at 2 pm on a Monday. I found the last parking spot and that only means one thing the food must be good. We were a little early with plenty of people waiting to be seated, but we were taken to our booth by 2 and received our food by 2:30. We both ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and it was fantastic, I have been lucky enough to eat at Katz's Deli in N.Y. and no place on earth serves up better pastrami on rye than theirs, but Lucky Dill is as close as I have found and actually we liked their bread better than Katz's. Keep up the great work and I will see you again real soon!!!
