My husbands corned beef was very fatty. Also they did not practice safe distancing, they sat people directly accross from us.
Our visits to Lucky Dill Deli are usually outstanding. This time we were disappointed as we brought our good friends from Ohio and the sitting was very cold as the air was blowing straight down on us. My wife French O soup tasted very bad; my M Ball soup was full of vegetables which I have never seen before. Our friends got the triple shrimp plate and it was fantastic.
The food was excellent and our waitress was great!
We always get a great meal when at the Lucky Dill!
Definitely covid prepared. Great spacing, and I even saw an employee wiping down areas most places wouldn't think to clean. Details! And the food of course was very good in portion and quality.
They recently restarted breakfast service again, only on weekends. The menu is quite a bit smaller than it used to be (for now), but the food and service are still good. The lunch and dinner menus have also been streamlined, but most of the core menu and some other items are still available. Hopefully, once things are back to normal, they will bring back the full menus, there were an eye popping number of items on those full menus.
Definitely worth trying if you're in the area, there are very few places around like this.
We felt so bad for our server. They sat our party of 8 in the same section they sat another party of 8 a few minutes earlier and then gave her 3 tables. As a result it took almost 40 minutes to place our order and then at least another 40 minutes for dinner to come out.
Poor management of staff allocation that night. Our server kept apologizing and we told her we didnt blame her (she was running the entire time).
We tried 2 nights prior to place a to-go order and dialed 10 times...no answer.
Might have to wait awhile before we try again
This is a excellent place for a family gathering. The food is good and prices are responsible.
Grouper sandwich was great, it was enough to take home for another meal. Bloody Mary was very tasty. Enjoyed the safety of outside eating (well spaced)
Meet friends at the lucky dill for dinner. Due to COVID, masks & limited seating. Excellent experience.
It was the 1st time in 5 yrs since I had lunch at Lucky Dill & Really Enjoyed my Visit,Food & Service was Fabulous as it was a Perfect Day to sit outside on the Porch for Lunch!
Good but the food was just ok. Service was good but I expected better food for the price.
My wife broke her are and could't cook our Thanksgiving dinner so we looked around for our party of 8. We've been there many many times and it's always good.
Our server Tim was awesome and attentive. We all thought the meal was great (almost like home) and everybody took home Thanksgiving leftovers.
Was in town on a golf holiday and booked Thanksgiving dinner for two. Fantastic service, good and ambiance.
Pictures of the desert platter has been sent to all family members. Great job Lucky Dill staff and owners!
This was our first time at Lucky Dill, and we were so pleased with the food and service. The food was top notch. Service wonderful. Plenty left over to take home. It made our Thanksgiving Day great even though we weren't with family. We would recommend Lucky Dill to all our friends. Thank You.
Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic, just like their food the rest of the year. Food was outstanding, with generous potions. Highly recommend.
More than enough food to eat. Plenty of Thanksgiving leftovers. Desserts were very good.
We’ve been to Lucky Dill for the last 5 years on Thanksgiving. The food is always very good and as close to a homemade meal as you can get. The service was good. We sat behind the bar area so the bartenders were our servers. They were both very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback was the hostess couldn’t locate our open table reservation. With masks on she didn’t seem to understand our last name and took a few awkward minutes to find it. Overall a good experience.
Much of the service felt as though one was eating at a hall. Said we were in no rush as we had just received our cocktails, but dinner plate came anyway. Certainly a lot of food.some was hot ; Turkey, potatoes and stuffing were not. Had to request extra napkins more than once, napkins provided were cheesy.
Cocktail was a nice touch. Desserts were lovely
Delicious turkey, mashed red skins, gravy, and rolls. The dressing was not like last years and not good period just mush. Pumpkin pie AWESOME!
We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Although we were seated behind the bar area, it was okay as we felt we got a little more attention and felt out of the path of other diners. I felt the TVs were a bit of a distraction for this dinner - as there were only two of us. Staff was very nice too.
Everything was excellent. The food was delicious the pumpkin martini was a great way to start on the dessert tray was unbelievable
Have been to Lucky Dill before and really enjoyed their huge sandwiches. You should see the bakery that they have it is more than amazing.
As far as Thanksgiving dinner, it was great!! Food, amazing! Will come again next year.
Server (Tim) was wonderful, food was plentiful, served hot, and cooked perfectly. We liked the way the desserts were served even better than the dessert buffet of previous years. The whole experience was prompt and well organized.
We were given a small table for two inside under an AC vent. Wife was not happy with that, so we opted for an outside table. It seemed fine, was a bigger size table. Shortly after the food arrived, however, bees began to ruin the experience. The waitress killed one and my wife killed one, but two more descended on the feast. Waitress stated they had been looking for the nest but had not found it. I don't blame anyone, however, I would not recommend the outside dining location.
We really enjoyed ourselves, food and service were very good. We will be back.
Went to Lucky Dill for Thanksgiving last year (2019) and it was so good we decided to go again this year. Sadly it was not as good of an experience this time. They changed a lot, mostly for the worse and raised the price too. It was not worth it. We didn't realize they were charging $5 more than they did last year. Last year they were happy to give you anything extra you asked for. This year they were very stingy on letting you get anything after the 1st plate, especially if they thought you were going to take anything home. For $35 a person, I think they should not be like that over a Turkey dinner. We aren't talking about lobster and filet mingon here. The green beans were not cooked at all they were hard still. Stuffing was home made last year, this year it really looked and tasted like stove top stuffing. Turkey was delicious as were mashed potatoes and yams. Deserts were on a huge buffet last year. Due to covid they couldn't do that this year which I understand. However, they bring a pre-set desert try out to your table and you have to split it all up between everyone at your table. Don't like this at all either because people sometimes might want same thing. The waitress did go get us deserts if we all wanted something that there was only 1 piece of. At the end they wouldn't give us a big box to take any leftovers home in. We were told management said they could only give out little boxes. Totally ridiculous! If they continue to operated like this in 2021 my family will not be back for Thanksgiving next year. If they go back to how they did it in 2019 I will come back. They are a great place to eat on regular days.
They refused to give you a box large enough to take your leftovers home!
The meal was outstanding! I couldn't have expected anything more. It was definitely worth every penny!
Had the fabulous Thanksgiving dinner under the tent - waitress was lacking but we did enjoy food and the tent area
We went for thanksgiving. Our server was awesome and all the food was delicious. We arrived at 1130. We got so much food I didn’t eat for the rest of the day.
This was our first time going there for
Thanksgiving. Everything was great. The experience warrants another visit. Thank you.
Love the Lucky Dill Deli, been going for Thanksgiving every year even when they were at Alt 19. Other then Thanksgiving loving going anytime our all time favorite best food and can't beat the amount of food for the price. Just wish they would open one up North Hudson, Spring Hill
