Amazing place everyone is friendly all the staff is great this is my second time ive been there and have had a ball
Had an absolutely phenomenal time at Lucky Cheng's! I have now attended the 7PM dinner shows (Friday, Saturday) and the brunch show (Sunday, 3-6PM), and every time exceeded my expectations. The drag queens bring their talent, creativity, and humor to the table, leaving you with a memorable experience! One would think with the focus on the show that the food would be just "ok" but that is not the case! The dinner and the brunch have really excellent menus with something for everyone. The menu was able to adapt on the fly for my vegetarian friend! The Crazy Boozy Brunch offers a $30 price fix, and for an additional $20 you can get the unlimited drinks. I was so grateful for this pricing structure because I came with people who drink and people who don't, and our non-drinking friends were able to enjoy the meal and show without paying for the drinks they were not getting. The waitresses were always topping off our drinks so I thought the price was awesome for what we got! The lovely waitresses got to showcase their talent during the show and it was so much fun to cheer for them after getting to know them at the table. Svetlana Stoli, hostess of Crazy Boozy Brunch on Sunday, showcases a never-ending parade of different outfits and hairstyles, and gives you everything from Broadway showtunes with puppetry to live singing of original parodies of popular songs, to disco numbers with a naughty twist! Special guests make the shows completely different every time. the brunch and dinner shows feature audience participation, in celebration of attendees' birthdays or bachelorette parties. They're the right amount of fun and entertaining! I love coming here and always bring new people and visiting out-of-towners for a wild Only in NYC experience. All generations can have fun here, I brought my mom for Mother's Day and she loved it!
I miss the old venue but oh well, out with the old and love the new location even more. The revamped lucky's is more fabulous and entertaining. Saff is attentive and engaging. Looking forward to going back soon.
I came to Lucky Chang’s about 20 years ago. I was happy to see some of the original cast of amazing Drag performers. It’s an iconic staple of NYC! I think everyone should experience at least once. Thank you for a great time Lucky Chengs!
Twas our first time and really had an amazing night at Lucky Chengs! The girls are so sweet and kept us welcomed throughout the night! Would love to go back again!!
Fun, Friendly and full of Fabulousness! A night to remember.
Overall we had an absolute blast. Unfortunately, I was stuck sitting in an awkward direction to enjoy most of the show without having to constantly be swinging my head around. The portion sizes were quite small.
It was so much fun ! I definetly would leave the kids at home. Food and drinks were not good at all. But would 've paid for the show alone.
We had such an amazing experience!! Can’t wait to go back!! A HUGE thank you to the entire staff for making this such an incredible experience!!!
Please don’t call this a caberet...it was more of a raunchy lap dance show. Food was terrible and nasty jokes tasteless. The whole thing was demeaning to the trans world.
18 women went for girls night out and here are our comments collectively.
The food was disappointing, the portions were very small. And $13 for a small portion of guacamole is just crazy !! The show was okay but the queens were nice. The location and ambiance is very nice.
at some point when the dessert was served and the show was still going on, half of our long table just collapsed on one side, sending all our drinks and dessert on the floor. Chairs fell with our coats and bags including our phones....sticky stuff on some of our coats, bags and phones. I was surprised to see that it took quite some time for someone to come and take care of us and fix the table etc. Completely distracted us and ruined our fun moods.
Icing on the cake was when they blamed us for the table collapse saying we were banging on the table, we are not bunch of rowdy women -- we all are professionals Dr's, Lawyers and moms. we were screaming and clapping but not banging the table so that the table could collapse.
we were shocked to see the tables were the folding tables and it probably was not clasped properly on one side resulting in the collapse.
they did not offer us any further drinks that were all on the floor but did bring us desserts only after we asked. and only after we made an issue, they give us a 20% discount . They were quite rude about the whole ordeal instead of being nice and apologetic.
My friends and I had an absolute blast at Lucky Chang's! The lip singing was unclockable..the crowd involvement was amazing and the food delicious!
Amazing! This was the best thing I ever spent my money on in NYC!
We loved it had the best time! Great show and the talent was fantastic!!
What an amazing experience we've had.
All the staff were very friendly and amuzing.
Made our honeymoon unforgetable.
Spent way too much money and ended up sick from the food.
So nice and extravagant with drag=service
A place meant for fun and letting your hair down
We laughed from the moment we walked in the door up to the end of night when we closed the place down. One awesome and entertaining evening. You are not there to have a gourmet meal - you are there to enjoy, laugh and have a great time!
This place is amazing. You and your party will not be disappointed. Looking forward on going back. Everyone was nice, great vibe, everyone always smiling and laughing
The place was old as was is drag queens. Didn’t enjoy it at all. 5 songs does not make a show and the cocktails where just wine in a huge bowl
Food was small and not so good
Fantastically fun! It can get pricey with drinks and tips, but the entertainment is so great, you don't even care!
The bride to be loved the show which was the whole reason we went there. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Service was very attentive.
It was so much fun and everybody had a blast! The Queens were great and friendly but did not push anyone to do anything they didn't want to do. Great time for all
Overall I was underwhelmed with my experience at Lucky Cheng's. The food was better than expected but the show was rather bland. I expected it to be more of a rambunctious drag show but the majority of the experience was about the audience members being on stage and reminded me more of a game show. I wouldn't call it a drag show but more of an interactive experience hosted by drags.
We went for a bachlorette party. So much fun!!!!! Food was great! Am def going back!!!
Had a fantastic time! Wonderful show....all the girls were very entertaining! Prepare to laugh A LOT!
The waitresses and hostess were amazing!!! No complaints at all about them. Show was awesome. The appetizers were really good. We had the spring rolls, the dumplings, and green beans. The main courses were disgusting! We had the beef teriyaki, the fish of the day ( don't remember what that was b/c i dont eat fish but my friends hated it) and chicken fried rice. The whole meal tasted like it was microwaved. I would come back just for the apps and show.
I just expected more since i've heard good things about it. My group and i felt we paid so much and left hungry. The food was decent at best. We also expected more from the show. The only part that was fun was the spicy lapdance the bride to be got however i paid extra for that. Now, my ladies are a crazy fun outgoing group but felt offended at time by the comments made. It was also a hassle to stay over for drinks after dinner, we just ended up leaving.
Great place to go out with a group of women for a really fun and carefree night out. The ladies were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed the show thoroughly.
So much fun! The ladies were amazing and beautiful. Interesting drink choices, and the food was good, like the family style dining.
The restaurant has changed since my last visit. The location is in a very rough area, the neighbourhood is scary!
To start with the security guy answered me at the door very rudely after I asked if I was at the right address for Lucky Cheng's : Yes its here.. but your need a reservation to come in !
(I obviously did!)
The restaurant now is really small, the stage is so ..so small.. only one person can stand there at time, I remember the restaurant at the 57th was so big that looked more like a theatre .. It was brilliant ! But I was there to have fun and I had!
To start with.. I went to the bar to have a drink before the show starts.. the gentleman who was supposed to be the bar man (a black , muscly young man) looked at me waiting for my order.. I gently said: Hi there, can I have a drink ? HIs response was unbelievably rude :
What else do you think we sell here ?
So that put me off the whole evening, I've travelled all the way from europe to New york .. I am really aware that it is obvious that you go to a bar to get a drink.. however i was only starting a conversation ! So I went back to my seat without ordering anything to drink.
The drags are the best part of the show.. funny.. kind.. super friendly.. the best part of the whole experience.
I left the place in a great mood, however I had to apologise to my 3 friends as I insisted to them to come along with me and I was the best thing I've seen in new york in a long time !
This was a great place to have tons of fun. The people were great and the food was really good.
Fun environment. Lucky Cheng's is great for bachelorette parties and birthdays. And they have a nice rooftop.
A great place to celebrate a birthday or bachelorette. The show is hilarious bawdy comedy at it's best, and they will be sure to involve the guest of honor in your group unless you request otherwise. Really great place for a fun, non-PC, over-the-top celebration!
Loved it! So funny and vibrant. Our waitress Hairy Mary was the best ever! Am back next time I'm in NYC
I made reservation at opentable on Feb 14, and thought I could have good time with my gf. After receiving email confirmation, they cancelled my reservation just hours before. This is unacceptable to any standard.
The comedy was great. My girlfriend and I laughed so hard and often that our faces were sore. The food was mediocre, at best. Definitely NOT a good value and extremely overpriced for the quality of food. I understand they are at a pop-up location but I would expect a little more organization and direction out of such a renowned show. Again, the acts were excellent but they were really need a new chef.
We had an outstanding time at Lucky Cheng's! The show was fantastic and the service was great. We laughed the entire time! What a great place!!!
If you're celebrating a Birthday or Bachelorette gathering, this is the place to go. Very entertaining, lots of fun, and lots of audience participation. The hostesses are great. The food was good, drinks were funny and tasty. Had a great time. I can't wait for the next Girl's Night Out. We'll Be Back!!!!!!!!!
