Lucky Belly is known for offering authentic Japanese cuisine along with a sushi bar and several types of burgers for diners. The décor is quite trendy and encourages a casual dining experience. The main attractions include sushi rolls that boast seafood and vegetables along with Lucky Belly's special Spiked Shakes that are made with ice cream for enhanced flavors. The restaurant also offers an open bar to bar hoppers and diners alike which serves Japanese whisky, sake and Shochu among other traditional Japanese drinks.
There are several small plate options at the Lucky Belly as well for those who prefer lighter fare and besides Japanese drinks, the bar also offers domestic beers on tap. Diners can also order several types of burgers in both beef and chicken. This restaurant has closed down.
This place has very unique sushi rolls that you can't get anywhere else. The are burgers are also excellent. You may be tempted by the Korean style chicken wings but at $9 for 6 wings I would skip them and just order an extra sushi roll instead.
More of a hot spot for college kids. The noise level was CRAZY loud and the traffic running back and forth past our table was disruptive.
The menu listed on the OpenTable website is an old menu. They do not serve most of the food on that menu. It needs to be updated.
Went to valentines dinner using open table. Sounded like a fun new spot. Walked in seated immediately which was awesome. The tables are close together not the most romantic but I'm not complaining. Waiter was good. Very prompt knew menu. We came in for sushi but ate burgers and was happy with that. Hot chicken spring rolls good too. Good beer. Only was annoyed with waitress in next section kept hitting me trying to squeeze through tables. My wife and I enjoyed evening and food. We would come back for sure.
The rolls are creative and delicious and the sake was "smooth, smooth, smooth". Fun and scrumptious dinner with friends.
Great experience. Food was all amazing. Definitely great spot if you dont want to deal with a long wait or huge crowd.
The specialty roles weren't very good and didn't have very much sushi in, primarily cucumber. BUT, the wait staff was quick to offer a replacement roll and take it away. So, in the end, we all ate basic food, like miso soup, ginger house salads, chicken sandwiches and a tuna roll. But it was good. Cute place.
I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Lucky Belly. My wife and I went for the first time on Valentine's Day and it was absolutely incredible. We shared a roll of sushi as an appetizer and it made me wish we had just ordered it for our meals because I never wanted it to end. For our entrees, she ordered the chicken burger (loved it) and I got the hot fish sandwich. I pride myself on being able to handle spices, but I can say without hesitation that this was the hottest thing I had ever eaten. For spicy seafood fans, it's incredible, but if you are concerned about it being hot, you should probably steer clear of this one.
Fries were incredible and the milkshakes (available spiked or non-alcoholic if you prefer) capped off what was almost a perfect meal, especially since we didn't know for sure what to expect coming in. We were in and out of there very quickly for a full-service three-course meal.
So not delicious. A sad replacement of its predecessor.
The server was extremely cordial, helpful, energetic yet not overbearing. The food was amazing! We shared the hot chicken rolls that were divine, and I had the jalapeno burger while my husband had sushi and deviled eggs. A feast for sure! We'll definitely go back, but next time will save room for one of the over-the-top delicious looking shakes. Great experience for sure!
